Redesigning the Costco Logo was a great idea for a logo design video submitted over at www.rebrandeverything.com What do you think of these logos? I tackle the challenge of creating some new options and have made a poll so you can vote for your favourite logo option.

I love how faithful option 1 was, it's like a "cleaner" version of the original.
Oh yeah it had to be ‘the same but different’ 😂
I always saw those stripes as being of the 'go faster' kind. Using their stores, I did feel a focus on speed of service. It's made for busy customers and I don't remember a time I ever felt stuck in a Costco.
Edit: it's also a small nod to the American flag, along with the colours
Yeah they are both good points actually! As I was working with the logo they did start to grow on me tbh haha even if they are a little bit adidas
Option 1 and 3 are the best!

Voted Option 3. It looked very welcoming. However, Option 5 almost looks like a sporting goods store and when you look really close at the "C" icon, and if you had kept what you had at 9:49 it could almost be mistaken for the American baseball team Chicago Cubs as it's logo and icon look very much the same.
That's interesting! Yeah it does have a sports like feel and I can see the resemblance to the Chicago Cubs logo (although I'd never seen that before!)
Redesign the F1 logo next!
Option 3 the best

I've been to Costco stores before. They're warehouse stores where items are both stored in columns and other things like in warehouses, but still removed when being purchased.
3 and 1 are damn good

I like 4 for that Vintage look, but 3 best represents Costco's image/mission statement.
I haven't made many vintage style logos so it was a bit out of my zone but I was kind of happy with the outcome
very strong options today. all except 2 are very good.
What don't you like about option 2? It's funny because I had 2 notifications of comments, yours which was not a fan of op 2 and another comment which was favouring option 2!

I have voted... it's Option 2.
That's the inception logo - It's a circle joining a circle within a circle, which makes a C which is the first letter of the word Circle 😂
I vote for Option 3 because it's a new way of showing the concept of CostCo: clean and simple 😉 Option 1 it's a very good rebranding of the actual logo if you want to maintain the concept and composition of it, and the icon on Option 2 and 5 remind me a portuguese brand called 'Continente', one of the big hypermarket chains in Portugal (www.continente.pt).

Some of this logos are almost a "copy" of the largest portuguese wholesale company logo - Continente est. 1985 😉 - that belongs to a worldwide multinational, that also started in Portugal - SONAE SGPS
I really like option 2. Maybe, if you really stretch your imagination, pitch it as saying it’s what you said, a new person joining their membership, but it could also be a representation of the sun and the earth, as the blue circle appears to be orbiting around the larger red circle. As humans, we rely on the sun for our natural resources, but as customers we can rely on Costco.
Yep I like it, it's like a bigger/universe sized picture version of the idea I had 👍

I'm surprised how often really big companies have kinda problematic logos. With all their money why don't they hire better logo designers? Any theories?
P.S. Other major things about the Costco brand (reputation) are (1) low prices and (2) buying in bulk, really stocking up.
