Nigel is actually a really cool down to earth guy. I met both him and Dave back in February of 1995 before Bush blew up and got huge and began playing arenas. I used to work at nightclub in Cincinnati that I won't name here as a security guard. At the time I was just learning how to play guitar and was into Rock music. I got a chance to chat with Nigel about his guitar rig he was playing at the time as Bush were playing a triple bill that evening with the Todies and some other very small all female group who I can't remember. Anyway I got to chatting with Nigel about his purple stratocaster and he told me how his wife did all the Artwork, he was really cool and asked me what kind of music I was into. We started talking about Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and the Beatles. He told me "Hey keep up playing your music man, I never thought our stuff would amount to much and now here we are touring the states so hey...." Really cool guy, I wish he was still in Bush.
100% I disliked bush after Nigel pulsford left , loved how fluid n not complicated but great to the ear his playing is, my favorite guitarist from the 90s
Nigel is one of the best guitarists of all time, but it's hard to tell because he isn't doing quantifiable excersises that can be compared to others players, but rather does something unique every time which must be understood on its own terms. Don't get me started on Robin and Dave- the textures the original Bush lineup created on their first two albums (despite the accusations of critics who are probably now drooling over Adele and have no business explaining work like this to the public in the first place) are among the most singular in the history of recorded music.
