I'm trying my best to keep up with the new animes coming out so that I'm not constantly making the same videos over and over. This one is a personal favorite series from earlier this year. If you have not yet seen Youjo Senki, check it out. Its pretty badass.

Everyone always marvels at her magical prowess, personally I find it amazing that such a young girl is so proficient at hand to hand combat.
@@theafternoonmessage I’m aware of this, but it doesn’t change the fact that she’s so proficient at it with her underdeveloped body.

@@noeallanic8418 I've read the ln, but as someone who is experienced in hand to hand combat I can tell you that her short stature would hinder the way she fights in the show. Different styles would work better for her, but wouldn't look as good.

Just positive tragedy.
Actually this statement is flawed since miracle is by definition something that can’t be explicated by scientific law, effectively making any new effect that hasn’t been addressed by science a miracle. Therefore calling a miracle an illusion is incorrect, the more correct way to address the same thought would be “Miracle is an event that was not sufficiently observed or understood”. Though the “illusion” part may address the fact that miracles more often than not are used as of something of gods doing, therefore suiting the theme of the show.
@@Shonicheck Great point actually. That quote is kind of like saying that UFO's don't exist, they're just illusions caused by a lack of understanding regarding flying objects. You're right that a Miracle by definition doesn't specify that a divine being is involved, but I believe that the definition of the word has been altered by societal normality to describe a positive event that occurred specifically because of divine intervention. Either way it's a great quote that does fit the theme of the show and I like it.

@@Shonicheck All miracles can be explained or dismissed. Either there is enough evidence to prove they're not miracles, or there's a gross lack of evidence that they happened at all.

This anime works really well with this song. I'm impressed by how well you weaved the two together.

@@rustkarl Or for arguing with Emperor in headspace instead of submitting in adoration, like a good Imperial Citizen should. I think she is more of a Living Saint than an unsanctioned Psycher, given that in her world, she went through all the proper procedures to become a flight mage.

4:32 The most unbelievable part of this is that Tanya wasn't counting her shots. Literally the most refined and effective soldier in the world, and you want me to believe she wasn't counting? Even high schoolers that went to Afghanistan for a Camaro count their shots.
she was using a machine gun though. you cant really keep count of your ammo (or at least not with perfect accuracy) when its a machine gun. in one of the earlier episodes she ran out of ammo with a single fire weapon but at that point she wasnt an elite soldier she was on her first mission.

When she isn't lobotomising herself through, she has heightened senses and could slow her perception, so time would flow slower for her. I'd think then that she'd be able to count her shots, even with a machine gun.
@@CantBeFucked69420 i dont remember them saying that she was on drugs during that part. that part was supposed to be a training exercise but it ended up being a battle unexpectedly. i also dont remember them saying that she can slow her perception it never even said that she had heightened senses just that she had a high amount of magic power. the thing that made her super powerful was that gem the type 95 that she can only use when she prays. she didnt have the type 95 when she earned the silver wings badge and thats why she had so much trouble handling that small number of mages. it also never said that the type 95 would heighten her senses or change her perception. i have only seen the english dubbed anime tv series so if this stuff is from the movie or those parts were edited out for the dubbed version then i can see your point.

@@glitterlucky58 The mages were taught a spell in the academy that would dope their minds, making themselves less frightened and to cope with the war; this was done for realism as in WW1 and 2 soldiers were given drugs to cope and let them fight. Tanya over used the spell, hence the mad grin and laughing. She was still lucid to a certain point, but was effectively Florida man high on meth.
@@CantBeFucked69420 ya i never saw that part they must have cut it out of the english dubbed version of the tv series or was that part in the movie (which i havent seen)? they never mentioned drugs or anything like that in the english dubbed tv series at all.

I think it's because they did some scandalous stuff at some point, but i'm not sure. I just know that it's mostly not to do with their music (except maybe photograph, but I haven't listened to that beyondthe first bit that was memed.)

love this guy (I can only think of Tanya as a man despite the body of a little girl, cannot change my mind) fuckin ruthless, literally pretended to be a child while announcing their air strike on them to trick the town and killing hundreds of innocent people, not to mention that time he forced a soldier into killing more innocent people (children and elderly included) tbh really horrifying to think about but it's fiction and I try to think of it that way to sleep better at night
