Thank you. I use MAC ACL to protect WEP wireless network with legacy devices. It works well although it is slow sometimes based on WAP traffic.

The performance impact part really intrigues me. How slow is it?

@@hz777 sometimes it takes several tries to join a busy WAP or to roam to another WAP. My guess is that the wap is sorting the MAC and not the router. We use the the ACL on WEP for ticket scanners at a entertainment venue and when 8 or 10 scanners are going hard on the WAP (we use the small mesh units) bringing one off the charger and joining takes a bit and dhcp stalls out.

    Thank You!
The thoroughness of your videos are fantastic.
Please keep up the great work!
At the 21:20 mark where we talk about the two devices connecting via an access point (U6-Pro): if device isolation is activated at the access point, but we have an ACL rule that allows them to talk to each other, can you comment on what would happen there?
Based on everything I've seen, my guess is that it would not be allowed as there's no reason for the traffic to go to the switch and then back again. Would that be a good guess?

I think the same. BTW I will be working on a video talking about implementing firewall rules, ACL, wifi isolation all together.
