India were great hosts and ran a great tournament however the Indian team and BCCI tried to trap Australia with a dodgy pitch and fell into their own trap. That is poetic justice! Next time leave the pitch to the ICC!

Not really a great host. The general public suffered the most, with rampant open black marketing of tickets spl at the Motera. Further, the substandard pitch for the finals ruined the fun.

"Cummins's cold reception in Australia" ???? What are you talking about? We are immensely proud of him. We don't go out on the streets all waving flags when we win, which is a shame 'cos street parties are great fun, but we still love the winning feeling. The Australian Cricket Captain is the most unifying post in the country (since we play four different types of football!) and though we are used to a hard-nosed captain, Pat has proven a nice guy can still win. Respect for Pat, who is humble, so his pride is not an issue.

You just proved how much you don't know about Australian cricket, just like the Indian cricket team showed they knew nothing about the Australian cricket team! Australians dont need to mob our players at the airport or hold them up like fake gods or kings the way kohli is held up as a fake king/god. Australian players have worked very hard & have been away from their families for months on end & we respect our players enough to allow them privacy and to arrive home to be greeted by their loved ones without all the mobs of rude, inconsiderate, selfish crowds pushing & shoving each other the way Indians do!

You keep thinking that if it gives you comfort! Maybe if the rest of Indian team didn't have to walk on eggshells around kohli, they would not have been so scared to pass his run rates & win for India, but instead they all bow to him & not give themselves the chance to shine or show their true talent lest they upset him! Kohli is so highly strung that he even has to sit in the same bus seat, at the front every time & his wife has to follow in the car behind with police escort! Precious much! do they unroll red carpet with glitter for him when he gets off the bus too? or set fireworks when he goes to the toilet? The rest of team however is treated as superfluous rubbish. Its all about making sure kohli is not upset! When the team is fractured because of 1 player who is revered as a god then that is not a cohesive team! India assumed the cup was theirs, that all they had to do was just rock up to the game & collect it as though it was just a formality but they forgot they had to actually play & fight in the game to actually win it!
and then the BCCI doctor the pitch too-if India was so brilliant, they could play on any pitch! why did the BBCI have doubts about the Indian team to provide a crappy pitch that made the stadium look cheap? India better not cry when they have the same done to them at an overseas stadium! India is so wrapped up in it's own overblown bubble they can't see anything else but their own overblown bubble! All India sees is that they are the best & keep lying to themselves.. however the stats don't lie: ODI cup wins: India 2 Australia 6!
