  • Sweet Child o' Mine, if it were written by Dire Straits.
Here's another classic that I thought I could adapt to a Dire Straits version.
I saw on instagram the other day someone that had already put the original solo in something of a Dire Straits style, so I thought I'd switch it up a little and try a different approach with a sort of Telegraph Road style build-up to a big ending.
Had a lot of fun coming up with the different parts, hope you enjoy!

Well Axel Rose originally wrote this as a poem as a teenager, about a girl he was dating and after hearing his lead guitarist practice some rifts he decided to put the poem to the rifts . So it was not originally a song, but a poem. Thats what I heard . from Proffessor of Rock. There is a video on it. on utube.

As a massive fan of Dire Straits and GNR, I loved this. You really captured the essence of Dire Straits as if they played this song. I my mind I was thinking, I wish Laszlo had have played the guitar solo...... then that slow build up with the dIRE sTRAITS piano (absolute gold)..... after that when the guitar started playing my mouth fell open and my jaw hit the ground!!!
