- The fall garden is always so much fun! There are a few final vegetables that are ready to be harvested, sweet potatoes included, and there are some bulbs to plant. When I filmed this video earlier this week, it wasn't feeling like fall, but the weather has since turned, and we've got a chill in the air! I'm ready for full-on fall, and I hope you are too! Enjoy!

I’m in Southeast Michigan. It’s cold…in the low to mid 50’s and down to 38-39 at night. Today is sunny, but windy and very cool. I’m waiting for 11am to walk the dog as it will be 58. Better, but still cool. My garden has been tucked away for a week now and all I got to do is stack a cord of wood. Im ready for winter as I’ll ever be. Love your videos Kaleb..❤. Oh heck…it’s going to be 47 (per my phone) at 11am….winter coat for me! Lol….it’s really windy outside
I am also from Michigan (Grand Rapids) I wish I didn't live in an apartment!!!! Would love to garden myself!!!!!

Here in🍁 New England 🍂we're finally feeling that crisp cooler air and the trees are beginning to change telling us Autumn 🎃is just about here! Love Fall&Winter and this is when I'm the happiest! Of course who looks forward to Kaleb's autumn transformation and decorating ideas especially when he uses natural elements. Wow!! Those are some huge sweet potatoes Kaleb! At least a 5 pounder!
In 1918 My grandfather bought 100 acres for 50 cents an acre, he raised sweet potatoes 🍠 and traveled in mule and buggy monthly and sold on market day in small town Texas 🇨🇱
I truly smile while I watch your informative, friendly presentations. I loved seeing the school bus in the background and the one potato looked like a swan! Sort of new to your channel so I look forward to catching up on older ones this chilly winter in Ohio 6a.
Love your channel! Your recipes are so good 😊. The knowledge you share is awesome! Have you ever considered writing a book on gardening? Your channels are wonderful! Thank you for sharing 😊 God Bless. ❤
Wow, I’ve never seen a sweet potato that big 😂
Thankful for such great gardening tips!🌱🌱💖 Absolutely love the description of never knowing what kind of "Frankenstein" you'll get! So fun!😄🧟♂️🎃
I'm glad that you made the point about produce not having to be perfect to be used because I think that too much of it is discarded "because a mouse nibbled on it" 😂
Great sweet potato harvest!
Keep up the good planting 🙏
Gosh kaleb you create yourself so much hard work your moms lucky to have you 👍🏻😊
Now I have to find that salad video. Sounds yummy

I absolutely love to do my gardening without gloves. To feel the roots and anything else that I'm working with, Makes me feel a part of the process😊
Love watching your videos…. You were taught well 👍
Heck-I know I’ll never grow sweet potatoes but I watch your videos anyway. I enjoy the education and the way you present it. Love all your recipes and have made quite a few of them. Thanks for all videos-no matter what the topic😄

I just want you to know that I think you are just "the bee's knees"!
Garden gloves are like all the socks that disappear in the wash.
I really enjoy your videos. ❤

Great videos I eat my walking onions all year long
So love your common sense about your produce. So enjoy your videos, always look earn something
Always learn something.
Look at adding a board between the asparagus and shallots so you can have two different levels.
thank you for another useful video.
Lovely video sir and in our country we save all those potatoes peel take the bad parts out and use lovely you are soo cute well explained lovely place and you look hard soo hard working ❤🙏❤
Kính chúc anh ngày mới thật vui vẻ hạnh phúc phong cảnh rất đẹp mắt ❤❤❤
When you open some of the bags, do you ever find any glass? I always find glass.
Oh wow…I haven’t had that happen yet, but then again I never really looked? Are they big pieces? Or shattered pieces? Thanks for that tip! I’ll be alert for that…😄
Luv your inspiration 😊❤
Kaleb is there a reason for washing the sweet potatoes before curing. Others have said to leave the dirt on let it dry on the potatoes while they cure then lightly rub it off. I haven't harvest my Sweet Potatoes yet. I'm in Southern Michigan, Ive been waiting on a frost. We've been down to the upper 30s however not low enough for a frost. Thanks for showing how to pull/cut those vines. First time growing SP.
I’m going to the store and get some shallots thank
Yes we have finally cooled down ❤ my friend time of the year I think I'm going to plant some things this fall! Will potatoes do well here in Iowa during the winter?
❤❤❤
I planted annual sweet potatoe vines in big flower pots with flowers, I wonder if I should check the soil for actual sweet potatoes?!
How often do you need to water shallots and garlic?
I am in sw iowa, underwood, I have Birdies 17 inch raised beds with strawberries, can you do a video about preparing berry plants in raised beds for winter ,,my husband says the whole bed will freeze solid. Should I put straw bales around the beds ? And on the plants?
Love your videos. Where do you get the walking onions? Haven’t had any luck finding them here in Florida
Rhubarb, how late in the season can you harvest the stalks?
Do you ever have issues with herbicide drift spray damaging anything in your garden with living so close to the other farms?
Do you eat the sweet potato foliage at all? I hear that it is eatable, but I haven't tried it so far. If you do, how do you cook it - or raw? This year, I planted sweet potatoes only in containers, as I got so fed up with trying to dig them up in a clay-loam, and feeling like I never got them all, or had many that I broke up because I couldn't find the tubers (for those who don't know, sweet potatoes will root and produce additional tubers where they root along those crazy long stems). They just aren't as accommodating as Irish (Peruvian?) white potatoes. LOL.
Edible not eatable
@@marlenejones6266ya, so much for spell check.
I think I also read somewhere that in other countries eating pumpkins leaves is common. So much info on CZcams that it can be overwhelming remembering it all….a blessing and a curse!
We grow sweet potatoes not beyond 5 months. They become hard and fibrous beyond 90 days and could not be stored unrefrigerated for more than a week.
Can you pls tell us where you purchase your sweet potatoes slips?
got a question ? i followed your instructions for sauerkraut....i started it WED morning and by SUNDAY morning... there was no bubbles in my jar ? ...i tasted a very little of it .. and all i could taste was salt? no flavor yet...although, it did look like kraut ....what did i do wrong
