"Entre Águas Turvas" is a dramatic short film that portrays the female universe. The film unfolds lives full of limitations and expectations, tied to the social role of women in a patriarchal society.
SYNOPSIS
When two distant sisters lose their mother, they must set aside their old disputes to fulfill the deceased's last wish: to scatter her ashes at sea. Until an old secret is revealed.
Henrique Nuzzi is a director, screenwriter, and editor. He graduated in cinematographic direction from the International Film Academy (AIC) and in screenwriting from Roteiraria - School of Training for Screenwriters.
Since he was twelve years old, he has been experimenting with family digital cameras. During his training as a director, he directed the noir suspense short film "Dois Perdidos," based on the play by Plínio Marcos. And the experimental horror short film "Solicita Alma," a fragmented narrative that draws on surrealism and the symbolism of the collective unconscious. He also directed the short film "Anima," which also uses human unconscious fears to generate tension and conflict. The film also has a dynamic and experimental editing, also performed by Nuzzi. He directed the drama short film "Entre Águas Turvas," which explores the conflicted relationship of two sisters, as well as having performed the cinematography and editing of the film.
He also wrote three feature films "Heróis Corrompidos," "Medusa," and "Cantos Escuros," along with his creative partner Ananda Scaravelli. Nuzzi seeks in his works the aesthetic rigor and study of horror and fantasy genres, nourishing himself with the symbologies present in the human imagination.
