I remember watching this as it came out thinking that this doesnt have the same vibe as horizon 1 and it really doesnt. Its beyond terrible. Funny piece of trivia, the noise used for the R34 in the trailer isn't a Skyline engine. that's why the in-game noise doesn't match it.
The sound use in the trailer is from a 2JZ Supra.
My favorite part about the trailer aside from the hypercars having their doors open through the city street is the sound the R34 makes when it rev bombs off the limiter

Yes. In some places forza horizon 2 looks sooo realistic than any other racing game today. Thats because of the lightning and reflections. Plus the rain is also amazing.
The lighting in the game was phenomenal I hope a newer Forza will have lighting like this one
The reflections of the cars in FH2 are horrible sometimes if you look at it from an angle though, it makes the car look way different in a boxy way and the rims disappear in the reflections, the graphics are good though
Wish they kept the way wipers on the windshield interact with rain from h2 it looks so good. Small detail but more realistic than todays

It’s sad to see Forza Horizon move away from this. The festival vibe in Horizon 1 and 2 was absolutely unbeatable. Now it’s just a generic car game with no storyline or anything like that.
Lonely Wolf Aw that was so cool. Kids now who only play horizon 4 don’t know the thrill of taking home Darius flint’s Ferrari, or winning the final in horizon 2 with a car you built yourself. Not a hyper car you got 7 minutes in the game.

Whenever I rewatch this that one scene where the skyline is drifting and it just bangs of the Rev limiter gives me soo much chills, I love it
It’s 10 years old, and somehow this feels like a new released game. The graphics, the cars and the vibe, FH2 is a truly masterpiece. I miss playing for 3 or 4 hours straight just cruising and enjoying the views.
Can't wait for Forza Horizon 5 or Forza Motorsport 8

My "perfect" forza Horizon would be: story, progression and vibes(including festival) from fh1, sounds, music, feeling and introduction from fh2, festivalS, environment and the "challenges" from fh3 and the looks, crazy builds and life service from fh4. The sizes and diversity much better than fh4 and fh3. I guess that's it
The new forza motorsport might have an open world ability also.. So you can drive to the track with your freshly tuned Skyline! JUST IMAGINE THAT!!

Yeah for me horizon two and three have so far been the best two because of the storyline progression and how beautiful the game looked horizon 3 because of the car list and I spent so much time playing online with friends no matter if it was cruising infection challenges we would make up and hot wheels that was so much fun

Still best forza horizon game. You had the feeling that you are in music festival. Most beautiful map. Rain effects are just like reality. You had docks and mansion. Amazing car sounds. Maybe the most revolutionary open world racing game in that time.Visuals are stunning for a 6 year old game. Im repeating again this game doesnt look like its 6 years old.

Here we are in 2021. Played horizon 4 it’s nice but not as exciting as driving down the coast of France in a classic Ferrari or Aston Martin. Feel like James bond all day. Forza horizon 2 is a masterpiece and still holds true today. Details on the cars are uncanny

I can't be the only one that thinks the water particle effects just look better in this game than fh3 and 4? Maybe because the maps in those games are far ahead but I personally feel like the car detail and water particles are just the best in this one
Yest thats true even the reflections on road after rain are amazing. Its just beautiful driving at full speed while rain is passing by you. Lightning is also better in fh2 than fh3 and 4 so that makes this game looks fresh and beautiful.
Personally, I hate Horizon 4's map. Too flat and bland.
Very few game trailers give me a hit of dopamine like this one does man. I still get chills when the song kicks in and the doors of the cars open up.

Wow I mean this trailer never fails to give me goosebumps, I remember seeing this trailer in 2014 with that same feeling of amazement. However back then I could not play it so I watched AR12 play it instead. Actually wasnt able to get into the Horizon series until about 6 months before Horizon 4 died 😔. (Online that is)

Keep in mind that this game is 6 years old and this footage is taken from xbox one. Ahh the graphics. Best forza horizon game. It has over 200 cars and this games i open world. There was no racing game that has over 200 cars and that big open world i 2014. Bruh this game has more cars than nfs heat xd. Microsoft was way ahead of its time. This game didnt became too much popular because of xbox one fall but i really respect this game and i want it to play again. I only played xbox 360 version and i really enjoed.Then my cd was soo scratched that i couldn play it again. I cried alot that day. I wish i had xbox one i 2014 but in that time it was impossible for me. Maybe there is still time left for me to get an xbox one and forza horizon 2 if it exist because in my country its hard to find forza horizon 2.
