Excellent instruction as always! I’ve learned a lot from your vids and I appreciate it. Recently became a volunteer NWCO trapper and all the water trapping techniques are in a large part due to your selfless trapping instruction, thank you!

i just got done a nuissance job here in northen ontario and i will 100% agree with you that the beavers are way ahead of time as far as the amount of chewing and mudding .. early winter ahead (i hope not again this year) cheeers !

My neighbour stuck his hand in a conibear trap because he didn't know what it was. He called up a local trapper and threatened to sue until he told him it's an offence to mess with a trap in Ontario. The guy is a FREAKING SURGEON who uses his hands EVERY SINGLE DAY and he stuck it in something that was unknown to him!!

Sweet! Definitely made some landowners happy there!! Did you check and see if there was any castor in them? The prices for that just seem to keep climbing!

What will you do with the beaver if they pelt isn't worth anything? Will you at least use the meat? It's legal to trap beaver outside of the winter months? I'm new to this and have a mentor for the winter. I'm trying to pick up on as much as I can before I go out with him to trap.

Do you think that the one beaver you got in the channel kept other beaver from going further down the channel and into your other traps?

You definitely provide a service since skinning out a beaver costs more than a pelt is worth even in season. Rigor mortise means meat is no good for consumption and dressing them is too costly to make it worth eating the meat. Since these land owners are not concerned about protecting the trees (no wire mesh around base of trunks) do they pay a decent dollar to remove a beaver?
