I came down with Bell's Palsy a few years ago. One morning I woke up and half of my face wouldn't work. It took more than six months for it to recover and, honestly, it is still noticeable when I am tired. Hearing that Rick Savage went through the same thing made it a little bit easier for me to deal with the stares and the whispers. I didn't realize that he was the genesis for Hysteria, which has always been one of my favorite songs. Rock on, Rick! Rock on.

One of the best songs on the album, Armageddon it ,there's many more, I've commented on one of the other things that Phil was talking about that my mom is 79 and she loves that song even today I will play it on the guitar for every once in awhile for her. My mom says amazing, outstanding song. Vote Def Leppard into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

When I was a student, My father was working in the living room, he looked really busy. I was watching the video of Def Leppard in the living room. The photograph of Mr. Rick Savage when he was a little child was shown on the TV, right away my father said with very big voice, “What a cute boy!! ” I was little happy to know my father was watching their video, too. My father loved music very much. This story is one of my special memory with my father. (He had gone in 2005, winter.)

I agree Sav, my absolute favorite Def Lep song is Hysteria! It is one of my all time favorite songs.
I discovered this album when I was 10 in 1990. My uncle would blast it in his Trans Am and then gave me the cassette. I since wore out 2 cassettes and 2 cd’s of this album before making a digital copy. I will be 39 this year, and I still prefer the slight wavy sound of this album on cassette. Digitized music still can not replicate the unique sound produced by a cassette or vinyl record!

Yes, 'The Riffmaster' had that ability as Phil put it "to come up with amazing parts, in little boxes, unconventional, and he'd end up making a Japanese garden". Steve's input as can be judged from Leppard's lack of mainstream success post his passing. It remains incalculable, he had it all. Leppard still bring it big time, no backing vocals, just pure rock with timeless melodies and they even gifted us on this tour some of their very first work which was a treat, as was the minutes silence intro into 'Gods of War' where Steve was put up on screen, his lead in solo, beaming smile and his red 18 string Razor from 'in The Round''. Sav in pink, who'd have thought.
I've always loved the song Hysteria-the album Hysteria as a whole, really. I've listened to this song way too many times to count, and each time I do, I always get this feeling as if I'm hearing it for the first time. Especially once I reach the chorus. I always get goosebumps once I reach that chorus. I've been picking up guitar for about a year now and I've just started working on learning the song (I've gotten the opening just about down). I'm eager to see what I'll learn, given more time! Def Leppard has ways been a big inspiration of mine, and I can't wait to see where you guys go in the near future!
