    Thanks for sharing all of that. I used to have a problem with any system that would make children pay for the sins of their fathers/mothers. It didn't seem fair... but eventually I understood that it is meant to be a motivating factor... to cause us to pause and acknowledge that the mistakes we make today can effect many many people... especially our offspring. It isn't a punishment... but incentive to not sin... and especially not to sin willfully. I had cancer when I was a child... and the thought that if I just prayed hard enough I'd get better... well, it wasn't a healthy thought.... but to pile on the idea that I had done something to deserve it... or worse, that my parents or grandparents had done something to cause it... well - it took a while to get my head on straight. It is so easy to take these ideas the wrong way... or to take them too far. I'm so glad that there are others who have similar trains of thought and are just as touched by scenes like this. Again... thanks for sharing your thoughts.
