I was told by our Indian Elders that Indian fry bread came about because many years ago, the white Man gave a bag of flour to our people. Our people didn't know what to do with it, so some started eating the flour. The white Man said NO! You cook it to make bread. 🍞 But out in the open all they had was a pan with lard, so that's how Indian fried bread came out to be.🍳 Now we have it still yet.
Yay, its getting cool outside. Time to make fried bread. I really love this recipie. Thank for posting it. My family loves it . It brings my family closer when i make it. You r a blessing. Hope my family never forgets that we also have indian blood in our veins. Now its time to unite as brothers and sisters.

This is My very favorite of all the videos out there on how to make fry bread,. It's not as easy as it seems like it should be, there's an art to it and takes practice. Very accurate to the point and just helpful instruction wise . I have made this with my grandchildren. We only recently found out that we are part Cherokee & Souix. It's a heritage we're very proud to claim and can't wait to learn more about all things native. Thanks for doing this and teaching such a valuable skill.

Totally agree, this is the best tasting fry bread!
I was told by our Indian Elders that Indian fry bread came about because many years ago, the white Man gave a bag of flour to our people.
Our people didn't know what to do with it, so some started eating the flour. The white Man said NO! You cook it to make bread. 🍞
But out in the open all they had was a pan with lard, so that's how Indian fried bread came out to be.🍳 Now we have it still yet.
This is the best video I’ve seen and I’ve watched many. I never get tired of seeing this. Thank you for sharing this.
Im native and you know it's good when you could just look at it and see the fluffy golden brown goodness.

This is great. I will give it a try. Like to say I was honored to tour and view some of your reservation. A truly great experience. Thank You !
I worked at a Mexican restrant and they never had frybread after they made some BUÑUELOS I made some for them and they fell in love with it

I haven't made this in years. My oldest brother loves it. The high school I went to, each holiday or festival that was celebrated. There was always Indian fry bread, even for Cinco De Mayo. I went to Bell Gardens high school.
