    This was a wonderful talk, and so timely for me! Today is Sabbath and I am new to SDAism, and I WAS going to go to a SDA church called "The Experience" here in Meridian Idaho. I had planned on it all week, and today came around; I woke up refreshed and ready to get ready and go, and I drove to the church, but sat in the parking lot, afraid to go in! I didn't know anyone there, the pastor hadn't gotten back to me after I replied to his email, and I was scared. I have seen some of the sermons online, and the church looked just like I might be comfortable there, but I was scared. Oh, if I had only heard this talk yesterday, or early this morning, I might have gone in! I will save the video and play it for myself next Friday night and next Saturday morning, and remember how MUCH I will MISS if I MISS going to CHURCH! I am happily leaving the Roman Catholic Church, and believe I have found a new home with the SDAs. Please pray for me, that I CAN make the break with the RCC. I have been convinced of the commandment to worship on Saturday, and find the SDA doctrines and beliefs in line with my own, as well as learning new beliefs that make sense. It's been difficult to break with the RCC, as I have been RC since my teens. Thank you, Pastor Doug, for your videos and the Amazing Facts website and store. I am ETERNALLY grateful.
    Winnie, an emerging EX-RC and budding SDA!

    I didn't leave the churches (I have been to more than a couple) for any of the above mentioned reasons. My husband and I were attending Church of Christ, Bible study and personal counseling with the head Pastor. He was absolutely wonderful. We also had our young children in age respective Bible study classes. After some time, we were asked if we would like to be baptized, and I said of course, and my husband said no. He said he would still attend, but he never wanted to be baptized. He said he couldn't give up certain sins and didn't want to commit himself in that way. After that it was if I was completely invisible to them. I even tried to talk to people, and they ignored me. The husband is to lead, love the Lord and love his wife. The wife submits to her husband, and I agree that to have a fruitful life and live by the scriptures this is necessary.
    After we stopped going, our life fell apart. My husband died after 17 years of marriage from atherosclerosis, and the next 5 years were horrific in every way. In retrospect, I should have never left, but the church is not a building, it's wherever 2 or more people have Bible study and discuss scripture with worship. I was saved a year ago after being a Christian for years before, all without attending Church. I live in a small beach town and there are only 2 churches in my area -- a Charismatic church with a female pastor and a Catholic church, so I study scripture every day and spend most of my day in the Word. I feel closer to the Holy Spirit than I ever could imagine.

      In that case, I say CZcams live church services would be a good fit for you. I know when covid was strong, a lot of the leaders did the sabbath classes at home in a Zoom meeting, and then another person took their turn for children's story and so on and so forth. When it was time for the sermon, it was on CZcams live with the pastor, and the technician would be the only one to go to church with him, and he would preach the word while we, all in our homes would pay attention to the word of God through our pastor.

    I became SDA after 32 nights with Pr Doug in 1993. It was the best. Had a church with loving friends until 2020, and was there several times a week. Then experienced some horribly traumatic attacks on my life, including a horrible slander campaign in the community, and to my horror, my local SDA churches chose to buy into it, and my 30-year churches ostracized, humiliated, and hated me. No one, despite my pleas, has EVER given me a direct reason or accusation, just veiled adult bullying, mind games, and rejection. No pastor will call me, including four I have contacted at the Nor Cal conference.
    Each day I struggle to comprehend what is happening, and how all these people I have only done good to can not only do this, but have zero conviction that it is wrong, despite their Bible knowledge. It is hell to drive past the church that was my family and Sabbath home, and wonder why this could happen after so many years. To be so targeted for this veiled hate campaign is devastating, and to get total lies and dishonesty when I ask for truth is baffling. It's as if God has given them orders to cast me out without explanation. The best I've gotten are some indirect insinuations of being a "criminal" or " predator." No Matthew 18th indictment or anything. I am guilty of no such things.
    I am single, and church was my family. Now I rot alone at home. And apparently that's where God wants me, as no one is convicted to reach out and help me.
    Pastor Doug, if you're listening, I've always been grateful for your seminar that brought me in. But now I'm cast out, cannot get answers, and very depressed. Can anyone help an apparent sudden leper like me?

      I'm so sorry this happened to you. I am new to SDAism, so I have no answers for you, but wanted to tell you that I read your story here, and feel for you. I have been reading Mrs. White's Patriarchs and Prophets, and in there she says that the Lord tests us in different ways. Perhaps this is a test for you, and it matters how you handle it. @@Keniko-vq7lc Thank you for the encouragement. Unfortunately, God seems to be with THEM, as they receive more blessings the more they harass me, while I die on the vine. When the entire church conference hierarchy completely stonewalls me and refuses me a Matthew 18 discussion, it's almost like God is using the remnant to spew me out. Not one soul is receiving any Holy Spirit conviction that they should treat me like a human being ,even if they believe I'm a prodigal. They believe vengeance is theirs.

    • @rv1377
      @rv1377 Před 11 měsíci

      Don't worry, not everyone in the church is a child of God, some are children of the devil and are involved there. Remember that the first Christians were even persecuted for the truth, so suffering discomfort such as being ignored or rejected should not be seen as serious if you are really anchored in Jesus Christ,
      not all those who claim to be SDA are going to be saved, there are all wheat and tares, this serves as proof to see what we are made of. The Adventist message is one thing and the so-called brothers are another, so don't care about the brothers, you have embraced the truth, each one is to save his own skin and if they have done contempt to you, they did more to Jesus. Just dust yourself off and turn around, pray for them. The rest leave it to God that if there is an injustice he will solve it.

They are claiming to be "churches" who teach doctrines of their state charters, and not the Bible. The church is the people where 2 or 3 gather together in the name of Christ as Jesus said in:
      Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. CHURCH IS NOT A BUILDING OR A CORPORATION, IT IS THE PEOPLE.

      Jesus was quoted telling the disciples to wait in Jerusalem as they would receive power when the promised Holy Spirit came.
      My question is, where is that power today? Where are the miracles, healing & raising the dead?
      We are told to avoid those who claim to know Jesus but lack the power.
      Is there power in the church you attend? If not then you must leave.

      It's no surprise that those denominations that teach tithing (which is not a requirement in the New Covenant, let alone, it was NEVER in money during the Old Mosaic Covenant) are the ones that love twisting that Hebrews 10:25 passage to make it mean that you must be in a church building. This is one of Satan's most favourite verses in the Bible; twisting it to make you feel you must be in the building of an apostate, heretical denomination.
      Simple fact: Denominations did not exist in the 1st century when Hebrews was written. Denominations came on the scene CENTURIES later, starting with the Roman Catholic Church, and then nearly a millenium later with the Protestant Reformation when the Lutherans were formed, then Anglicans/Baptists/Calvinists/Presbyterians/Methodists etc.
      If you are going to twist the scripture (unto your own destruction, as 2 Peter 3:16 states) to make it mean that I must go to a church building, then the question is: WHICH ONE? There are hundreds of denominations these days, pretty much all of them claim they have THE TRUTH, others such as SDA/Mormonism/JW claim they are THE REMNANT that was raised up by God and everyone else is apostate etc.
      Also, regarding your statement about Doug being a "truly anointed Man of God".....ummmmm, NO! Doug is a deceiver of millions, belonging to a denomination founded by a false prophet. And when I do have expectations, my love for those from whom I expect things should not at all be affected if they drop the ball. God expects us to love one another unconditionally. This means attending church and loving those who are highly prone to hurting us. And this can only happen if we walk by faith with the help of the Holy Spirit.

      Greetings everyone!
      In the beginning, God Almighty put forward truth. God's word is truth, God's commandments are truth and God's laws of love are truth (Psalm 119:142, 151 (KJV); John 14:6, 17:17). Man's word is not truth unless it echoes and maintains what God says (John 8:32-33, 15:7,10). Much of truth is lacking when people gather (The Sadducee, Pharisees, Essence). Almighty God is truth and unknown to many people, truth is like a magnet which attracts magnetic material only.
      I listened to Mr Doug preaching and have mixed feeling. I do NOT agree with him completely. Truth is what should make true believers not otherwise. Did he consider gathering in vain? It is not bad to hold worship fellowship with others. Question is this: Who are these others? Looking behind, ancient Israel observed God's Sabbath in apostasy. What is the purpose of apostate gathering? Is obedience not better than assembly of apostates?
      Gathering together is not the problem but how far did ancient nation of Israel fare? What Mr Doug seems to miss is that coming in the presence of Almighty God is difference from just coming together. Apostle Paul was talking regathering assembly of brethren, who are the brethren? Imagine Paul saying this, a one persecutor? Even though he is no more, I remain suspicious of him. He killed by sword, and he was killed by sword. If gathering together is the issue why is exercising faith in Almighty God quite a different thing? It is interesting that in history, there was no where many have served Almighty God corporately in truth, salvation has been on personal relationship with Almighty God. Therefore, religious life is not spiritual life. If the world is made of both the tare and wheat, should a group of believers continue to remain a field having both tares and wheat? I believe that real believers should be willing to avoid every vanity the world seems to love. Praying, singing and praising without repentance promote agenda of devil. This is deception and hypocrisy. No one misses any blessing when he avoids assembly of hypocrites. Many fellowship gatherings are false.
      I tell Mr Doug, that Almighty God is about to send destruction upon earth. Gospel of the kingdom message will be proclaimed. Then everyone who loves it will be attracted and be saved. Fellowship is a social events but truth seeking and loving is divine and spiritual. Truth matters! Get ready for the coming great tribulation for God Almighty will strike the Shepherd and every person will scatter. End time God does not have a true church. All religions are agencies of devil. All religious leaders are blasphemers according to Revelation 13:2. End time two witnesses affirm there is no true church, instead, every person who loves truth will be attracted to them when they hear truth.

    I live in a country where it's mainly Sunday churches. I hate it, I refuse to go because they keep traditions of men. Then I visited our local seventh day adventist but was so disappointed, it felt like a funeral. Went a few times but I just didn't connect. I watched Monte Judah on CZcams on Fridays and kept my own Sabbath and then I met a fellow Messianic Jew, highly qualified and now we keep Sabbath and I love it. If I could go to your church listening to Doug, that would be fine, but over here, no thank you. They still play the organ and Martin Luther said specifically that the Roman Catholic church adopted that from the pagans. I want to worship God, not attend a funeral every week.

    That depends on your definition of church? God says Church is where two or three are gathered in his name. Ellen White says church is not the grand cathedrals or the denominations , but the people who keep the Commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus.

    • @stewiefy
      @stewiefy Před 4 lety

      God in His Word said His people keep His commandments and have the testimony of Jesus Christ in that we can testify of His blessings, guidance, and love upon our lives. It does anger me when you credit sister white with things she learned from God. If we correspond to think upon His name He writes our names in His book of remembrance. I've been a SDA for 20 yrs never once saying sister white said... 1 Cor 1:12 We are not of Paul nor Apollos, nor Cephas, nor EGW, and I for one was not baptized in the name of sister white. If they mentioned it I disregarded it in my mind and my heart unto God in whose name I was baptized in the SDA church. I hope you were not baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Ghost, and sister white, but the trinity alone. If you were, I might get re-baptized correctly.

    • @Heavensoon7
      @Heavensoon7 Před 4 lety +1

      I usually do not quote Ellen G White however this is an Adventist site with a large Adventist audience and the preacher is talking about going to Adventist Church. Therefore I felt it was very appropriate to tell what one of the original founders of the Adventist Church defined gods church as being. Personally the Bible says where two or three are gathered in his name Matthew 18 verse 20. And it should be of no consequence to you whatsoever when where or how I was baptized just like Jesus said to Peter concerning John what is it to you worry about your own self. John 21:22.

    • @stewiefy
      @stewiefy Před 4 lety

      So as long as you're talking to largely Adventists its ok to give Gods glory to another? And still you defend yourself. I'm not suggesting you refrain for any reason except your own benefit. It is your freedom of choice and what business is it of mine except God made His business of saving souls our business. If you reject His help, Word, counseling, truth, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, that is your business. I know He is a jealous God, we should all know. It is not forced upon any of us, rather the dust is shaken from His sandals. Not having others beliefs/opinions forced upon you must be foreign if you are as accustomed to SDA's as you say.

    • @Heavensoon7
      @Heavensoon7 Před 4 lety

      Stewseph Smallwood no one gave God's glory to another. I have no idea where you got that from . I can quote anybody I want including Abraham Lincoln George Washington or whoever , that doesn't take away from God's glory. And it was God that told Peter to mind his own business when he asked about John. So likewise how I was baptized or whether I was baptized is none of your business.

    • @Heavensoon7

      And if I am to question who is the Adventist I would say you're not because you obviously have a problem with people quoting Ellen G White. And it continues, even more strongly than before. Thank you Lord for this new confirmation of my thought of your word. Indeed that is what church is, what you said. Indeed we are getting back together, we gonna stick together, help each other stay strong. You do not have ulterior motives but the message that you are giving. Refreshing to hear the true word of God, and the one for those with ears and eyes to hear and see.
    What is continuing more strongly every year? The people of God being reunited. Truth being uncovered. The revelation. This new generation need pastors like Doug to lit the spark of new young priests( a special kind, think of the Levite). I know him only from this video but i hear his spirit when he talks, that's enough for me, i can recognize a brother, recognize another part of the body of God if you will.
    People would be surprised to see how many 20-30 years old are interested in God (getting lost in new age stuff too). How many or a few words away from being interested to know Christ. They are because our message is not from the catholic church or some man religion but from God himself. I keep finding this single narrative being brought up. The same i thought i had made up, came conclusion to. It turn out we are many to have came up with it. Back in the days, those person wrote the bible and were prophets and judges.
    Today we have another job, reunite His people, spread the true word like others cannot. Keep each other strong in difficult times. That's broadly, has some of us do have specific roles.
    Along what is written, we gotta tell the Jews they do wrong, they'll keep their ways, like always, get punished for a last time. Even the world and UN tell Israel stop what you're doing.
    (Israel state not being Israel. Israel is a people not only made of Jews. Old Jerusalem land do is special. And the land given to Israel is earth, after new Jerusalem arrive. New Jerusalem made on 12 foundations which are the 12 apostate.)
    Some say we do not have work to do, we can't change God's plan....But i ask, doesn't God's plan mostly acted through people and things? If so, then wouldn't the actions you take be God acting through you for some purpose? Wouldn't your acts be God's plan being acted? Once you walk with the spirit, that you are reborn, things change for you, there's another message told for those people. The one which is often shown, in the bible, by this quote you hear often (For those with eyes to see and ears to hear)
    Do you guys can see and hear the difference between a person rooted in bible believing compared to a priest giving the usual sermon? Or the difference between, for example, Doug and a common tele evangelist?
    Internet, the street preaching of today. In mysterious ways, He, does work.
    May all the good people be blessed and the bad ones be saved! God, thy will be done, may thy kingdom come quick, children are having a hard time, hear us weeping!

    • @maxime05c
      @maxime05c Před 4 lety

      God knew about internet. He prepared. The problem with churches is to find a good one. Most are Spiritless or led by people without the wisdom. What i mean by spiritless is that you cannot hear the word, only the verse spoken from a paper, with good intention. Sure you will meet people, love Christ, speak what He said, but not really getting closer to Him everyday. Doug is an exception, there's a few and many independent baptist church tend to have the Spirit.
      My church is spiritual, Doug is part of it i just found out.( Doug should know and believe what i say about this church and that it is possible, it's written!) But people, do hear his message, if you can gather and grow with Christ alongside you has a community, church, jump on the occasion. It goes in steps i suppose, you can't reach the spiritual church before stepping outside your home. You cannot go from A to B without travelling. If you're going to a church and don't feel it, maybe it's not the right place, stagnation isn't much better right?

    Hello! Can relate to CCD from a human social perspective too! Attending the right Church is important. It can also mean getting seriously stung when the Church is given to teaching strange doctrines that bind members over to confusion more than mature spiritual development. . Don't need a survey to prove my point either. Pastor Doug, you are talking about a healthy Church here teaching the Gospel from the Word in the Bible. Many churches, as many of us know, are in apostasy, which means it's often better to come out of them, unless we have a special calling to enforce changes and stay. We need to be mighty strong to take the beatings for it too. Some of us are faithful and solo with friends in different denominations, and at times mighty sad, but never alone in the Saviours love and strength. None of us are perfect, but the Devil would have us believe we're absolutely imperfect and that's often the reason why many quit the Church because of exclusivity, which isolates many from Christ. We have a duty to love others with an open mind. We can preach til we're blue in the face, but if we have not love and compassion for one another, and serve as you say, even when we get blasted for it (maybe you forgot to say that), we don't learn to ride above Satan. You're right in saying there are hypocrites in the Church and I don't pretend to like them either (😔) but we have to forgive them to learn from it, yes? . But when the organisation is corrupt it's best to get out of it, kiss the cross and move on. Love the video thank you. 🙏😊😊😊

    Then go to church, to demonstrate, and distribute the Holy Spirit within you.
    You go to church to give it out, more than to bring it in.

      Hebrews 10:25 NKJV
      "not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching"
      GOD does NOT say things just to fill up paper,
