- As Preacher and Mother travel through the outskirts of Isabela City, Philippines towards the city center under cover of the storm. However the two TF Mako operators progressively realize the City has far more ASG than previously realized and are allowed to go loud. Fighting through the flooded and hurricane ravaged Isabela City against many dozens of Abu Sayyaf (ASG).
Their objective is to reach the roof of the Isabela Hotel across the street from the hostages in the Mayor's office. Preacher and Mother reach the rooftop and watch the hostage situation as Sad Al Din reveals himself. Sad Al Din gets into an argument with Marwan and shoots an ASG who tries diffusing the argument. When Preacher and Mother request to take out Marwan to no avail. Its overturned by General Barrera, who instead wants it to appear NAVSOG itself didn't even need American help and orders Tiger 12 to take the shot. He fails in killing Marwan and instead hits him in the shoulder causing Sad Al Din and Marwan to retreat.
General Barrera then argues that NAVSOG and TF Mako stand down and negotiates with the ASG to begin releasing the hostages. In the pressing situation, Mother takes over command of the operation and instead opts to clear the Mayor's office of ASG and evacuate the hostages. After heavy fighting they breach and clear the hostage's location,
A desperate escape ensues with Preacher manning the RHIB's Mk19 Grenade Launcher clearing Abu Sayyaf scattered about the city attempting to prevent their escape. Preacher is knocked off the Mk19 by an RPG and Mother opts to take the Mk19 while Preacher drives the boat out to sea. Both boats are then recovered by MH-47 Chinooks

i’m impressed by the authenticity of the game when it comes to the country. the language was correct (tagalog) and the local outrigger boat (bangka)
They don't speak tagalog in Isabela. Ilocano is the main dialect in Isabela.
Taddy Ariola you two are wrong. This is Isabela city, Basilan! It’s in Mindanao, read the description properly. There’s no Isabela city in Luzon. Basilan neither speak Tagalog nor speak Ilocano lol. They may speak Cebuano or Chavacano, which is not featured in this game unfortunately. The language is not accurate in this mission.
I think they got the languages right IMO. Im pretty sure most of the soldiers from AFP's NAVSOG speak Tagalog and that the ASG speaks some sort of Arabic language
VJHermoso no, I was not talking about the army. The army speaks the national language for sure. But ASG in this video spoke mostly Tagalong which is not true in real life. They spoke mostly the local dialect in real life. I have friends from Isabela buddy, I don’t know what you’re trying to prove here.

As a Filipino gamer, this is one of my favorite shooters I have ever played. Very underrated story & the authenticity of the PH is well spot-on. Isa pang paborito ko yung Spec Ops The Line. Highly recommended sa mga mahilig sa shooters. 😀😀😀😀😀

I do wish that they (the filipinos) were given a few more lines other than "it's to quiet" among others.
But I do love how the devs, involved the jeepneys into the game, those are a big part of the culture.

The Philippine voices are really on-spot here, the locations, the architectre, damn! So authentic, and im saying this as a filipino from the PH even their clhoting seem authentic! The devs of this game really did their research here

Yep, they did very extensive research in every nation's uniforms and equipment. In multiplayer you can see how much they nailed SEALs, GROM, and others.

Reloading over and over after a single shot isn’t too realistic but yes this game was ahead of its time
The flooding is so exaggerated but makes sense for the Philippine setting. Though the Abu Sayyaf enemies would have something of a dialect for the city of Isabela in Mindanao, but the portrayal of the soldiers here are good, down to the mother tongue.

The last two Medal of Honor games were then only ones I played, but they've stuck with me because of how dedicated they were to realism and to respecting service personnel.

This game was really underrated. I have played it myself and is a pretty good game in terms of Storyline/ action and so on.
Nobody made stories as real as MOH. Infact the studio got into trouble because they interacted with some ex-veterans to get some technical details of how things happen.Then it got crushed by politics. Bad reviews by big medias, bad timing (one of the COD games release was nearby). Infact the studio was shut down and dissolved.

As part of the Armed forces of the Philippines. I personally like the fact that this gamw shows what happens when your general or anyone in command doesn't know what to do. Probably graduates from a military Academy or something. That's how they've gone up ranks 😂

Reminds me of 'Victor Charlie' from the first Black Ops, without the stormy weather..
The only wrong in this mission is the Abus are usually armed with AR-15's, M14's, M60's that either captured from the military or smuggled ones. The Abus in Isabela are probably speaking Tausug locally and not much Tagalog. Probably some are speaking in Maranao and Maguindanaon which are legitimate Mindanaon dialects. Russian weapons are rare. But hey, this is a video game. I'm not here to judge. I played this a long time ago and it's absolutely good. And another thing. For many years, the Armed Forces in the Philippines are dreaming of having Black Hawks in their inventory. Now it finally come true. And the Black Hawks here are now part of our history. Too bad only few of them have the minigun because it's ammo is too costly that's why the army prefered the old trusty M60s.

Maybe you're the problem. Maybe you just have very low standards. For FPS games, the most important thing on campaign mode is the enemy AI. This game has one of the worst enemy AI in the history of videogames.

It's surreal to actually see a play-through of a game and understand the language. While I do laud the efforts of the developers to make the game as authentic as possible, I think that the militants in Basilan would prefer to use the local language there over Filipino. In fact, if you use Filipino in many places in Mindanao, it's a dead giveaway that you are not from Mindanao, and likely from Manila.
Jovenal Asis Maybe the Abu Sayyaf. Kung babasihan ang Abu Sayyaf, some abu Sayyaf spoke Bisaya. But in case sa Maute Isis terrorist group, they were speaking tagalog.
