    Just a little "warning" for foreigners. Don´t be guys surprised to hear a waiter/ess in Prague say: "Dáme mlíčko, cukříček?" These are diminuitives of mlíko (milk) and cukr (sugar). 😉

    I've never thought Easy Languages would make some episodes with czech language. As a native czech citizen I have to say:"very good job." I'm glad to know that there is an option for Easy Languages subscribers to get in a contact with czech language. ❤️😊

    Awesome topic! Some more of these would be great. The language is usable and not "textbook-y", something that I can take out into the streets and improves my daily experience here.

    Diky for another fabulous video! Which drinks (other than beer) are most popular in Czechia? Are there any drinks that are local to Czechia the way in France you find Orangina for example (don't mean Pilsner though haha, everyone knows of that!) And lastly, is Czech coffee worth a try? Like can you compare it to Italian coffee? Diky Lucka and Anicka!

      In general, in Czech there are marks everywhere over long vowels, however in spoken language people (especially in Silesia for example) often tend to pronounce it shortly.

    WOAH WAIT!!! I'm Polish and have been familiar with Czech my entire life, but it's the first time I see Czechs using the"i" conjunction besides "a"!! Is this a new development in the language?
    In this video the girls use both of them almost exactly as we do in Polish, so maybe it's they speak a dialect closer to Polish?

    • @margaretkopretina
      @margaretkopretina Před 2 lety +3

      'a' is the standard word for 'and', and 'i' means 'and also'. It's standard Czech, the two words just have different usages. :)

      es heisst "větrník" or "věneček"
      věneček is a bit smaller and has only one type of cream, whereas "větrník" is normally pretty big and contains like 2-3 creams
