I'm also an engineer, and I could not walk in these days into a wedding. these people LOVE comp filtering, phase cancelation, using crapy x32 pre's, with its build-in crapy dynamics, and cheap china amps, sprinkling overdriven cheap JBL speakers everywhere! the sensation of total mayhem is overloading their senses, feeling drunk... If it is up to me? it's an A&H board into Danley DNA 20K Pro amp up to some Danley Horns, and BC subs, making them FEELING drunk in the 30HZ range... Go fix the world....go explain those dudes what REAL EDM is
@@joelklein3655 My term for this "wash-machine sound". where the listener wants to receive sound from all angles and feel the energy kicking in there stomach. feeling like the sound surrounds them and takes them over.
In this case the speakers does not act as "sound reinforcement system" it acts as an effect "butt shaker exciter" similar to the wash-lights.
psychologically, its because the mind is detached from the emotional brain and it needs that massive sound energy (low frequency) as an inhibitor to engage and activate the brain through the bodies somatic response.
Biologically , it induce dopamine and oxytocin hormones into the brain. asking for more. and this might become addictive.
That's one of the reasons only teens wants it. because they are in the puberty stage. and their hormones are fluctuating more then adults (puberty range from the age 9 to 26).
@@joelklein3655 the x32 preamps are not bad. 30hz doesn't really do much to a muddy mix. The compression on the X32 works well you just have to use it. Oh and the yamaha has to go because the internal PCM is total garbage and it's missing all the tools to fix it and make any sound truly sound professional. It's missing gain staging and a 3 band EQ on every layer of every sound. Also way too many engineers today run their mixes way too hot into the amps forcing it to constantly limit instead of giving it room to breath. Sound 101 is Gain staging, subtractive EQ, dynamic compression, panning/imaging for phase elimination and spatial levels, of course ADSR and effects.
