I filmed this a couple months ago lol just been slacking
Y strap , unlock the back , honestly cures everything
See a top surgeon. I'm seeing one soon. It feels like a light taser from the center of my back radiating up to my neck and across the top left of my back. I can still swing but I get sore in the bones and nerves. I'm sleeping on the damn floor which helps a lot in the day to day. Disc problems are no joke for sure. As far as women I think young men should focus on themselves for a good long time before getting serious. Keep your money separate after getting married. My first wife taught me that. Edit: Also, every last one of us will follow your adventures on a new Good Good fishing channel if golf hurts too much or whatever you want to do. It's every bit all of you as people that get us to watch. Not just the golf. You can do anything now.
You should consider checking out Fit For Golf, he's a golf specific trainer who has an app and works with tour players to 80+ year olds. Just gotta start really small and build your way up. The most important thing is don't give up on yourself.
It’s ok any content we get from Steven “ quesadilla” Is enough for us because we love ya bro merry Christmas
Maybe try doing what matt did. Change your swing to try and take some of the pressure off your back?
Thanks for the update Steve, and don’t feel like you’re only locked to golf content- I’m sure many of us here wouldn’t mind fishing content, horsetrack planning, travel vlogs, etc. Maybe mix those in with golf to extend your back’s longevity
For real vlogs about traveling for good good would be dope, inside looks at what it’s like when you guys aren’t on the course
I've thought this for a while. I'd honestly like to see him play soccer too
@@Swordsstrike agreed! Soccer trickshot video would be dope or even just something more casual
Go check out the Sports Doctors, they have the Best Perspective
Let's go fishing brother!!!
Of course it hurts carrying Kwon in your back. “TeamBackPack ❤️ Hope you get better Steve!
Lol. He turned Kwon into his backpack 🎒
Coming from someone who has battled budged disc and a ruptured disc and surgery, here's my biggest tips for better back health for myself:
- Stretch hamstrings and hip flexors multiple times a day.
- Sit as little as possible.
- Get a sit-to-stand desk of you have to work on a computer
- Walk and move as much as possible.
- Build up your core. Planks, crunches, no twisting ab exercises, bridges, hip thrusts, squats.
- Stay hydrated, limit coffee and alcohol.
- Get good sleep. I've had success rotating from laying on my back to laying on my stomach. Gravity helps pull the disc back in for me.
And I'm there with you. It's hard to golf and then you can't practice or swing a club without making your back worse for awhile.
Im a 35 year old military veteran with two kids living pay check to paycheck, playing golf when I can afford out here in Arizona, and you are my hero.
Keep your head up bud, break ups are tough I just went through one myself ... 5 years down the drain.. but it is what it is.. if it's meant to be it'll be.. focus on Good Good, girls are nothing but trouble anyway.. I mean what "Good Good" 😉 comes out of most relationships now days anyway??? NOTHING .. big waste of time, a learning lesson! Keep Pushin Brotha!
25 y/o here, decade worth of back injuries. keep hanging steve, maintain that back health over everything else, not only is it the most important part of a golf swing, but its also the driving force and base of the human body. nothing is more important than the core. dropped out of college too, and worked labor jobs. kept just pushing thru pain, trying to do the "manly" thing and not complain, cuz it cant get much worse right? WRONG, prioritize yourself and your health over everything else, because that is what enables you to be productive. currently jobless and dealing with unsettling, worsening chronic pain in my back- after injuries in 2019, started feelin it in my privates. so like i said, 25 y/o, dropout, no skills, antisocial jobless living in parents basement effected by chronic pain daily... its a blessing that you have great friends and you guys started your own brand, and that all you need to do is play golf. keep that positive bubbie mindset, and it will be alright. love the good good videos and your contributions to them. stay healthy steve, long story short- it can get WORSE. you know your body better than anyone, always need to straddle that line of comfort and exertion. god bless and god speed brotha, team backpack till death
dude i know the feeling man. And then you chug beers to make the back pain go away. I found some stretch's that legit changed my life
Understanding this was filmed a while ago now, I want you to know you are not alone. Lean on those that you can, when you need. Help those you can, when you are the one to be leaned on. Stay strong and continue to self-reflect. You seem to be a good person. We all have some issues. Thank you for sharing with us. You have no responsibility to us as viewers. I understand your appreciation for having viewers. But remember you are not ours. Again, stay strong and continue to move forward and improve. All the best!
I'm a 100% Disabled Veteran, was in a coma for 15 days and among a LOT of other things, I have 2 bulging disks, L4 and L5. Your core is KEY!!! Do more abdominal workouts and it'll definitely help!!!
Hey man I feel you more than you know. I’m 34 I’ve broken my back twice and neck once. I was thrown from my car that flipped, from what I was told 9 times. For me just walking hurts so I for sure know the pain. Whatever you can do to ease it do it. You know you have friends and family and your subscribers. Take care of yourself first. I wish I would have cause I’m basically disabled now. Don’t do what did that’s all I’ll say.
I’ve been dealing with back issues since my early 20s and definitely understand where you’re coming from. When you’re hurting or locked up it feels impossible to do anything normally. Im 31 now and still deal with it, but have done some rehab type training to strengthen it up.
Take care of yourself man and make sure to put your mental health first. You got a whole lot of time ahead of you and you want that time as impactful as possible, because it flies by.
Good luck and rooting for you all
Sorry to hear that man ! Break ups always hard but life moves on and we all know you’ll bounce back.
Stephen, I just want to pray for you and for everything you are going through. I know it's not easy to deal with all of the obstacles you are dealing with and I just pray that everything goes in your favor and that your back get's the healing it needs. Your health is a priority. I am sure your fans would understand if you needed to take a small break to get some help with your back. Best wishes, brother!
My mom had something similar happen to her when she was your age Steve, it's hard man, but def get it taken care of now and looked at! She has had lifelong back issues from it and sometimes there is nothing that can be done, but there are a lot of non surgical rehabs that really help. Also, life can be hard sometimes, and when you are always hustling and on the go it can be a lot. I am 33 and I talk to a counselor every week. It has helped me SO MUCH, just get more focus and accompish my goals despite myself. So don't ever think you are weak or can't cut it if you need to get some shit off your chest.
health is wealth bro. take care of yourself first and you still kicking ass out there. keep it up and take care of yourself man.
Hey Steve! I’m an instructor with Graves Golf Academy and one of our main focus’s is on people with back pain and as someone who has broken their tailbone and still continue to teach and play golf. I don’t experience any back pain while playing or hitting golf balls with our Single Plane Swing. You should definitely check it out!
I completely understand what you're going through. My freshman year of high school I was in a car accident (not driving, passenger) where we were hit by a train. Golf has always been my #1 hobby, but since that accident I've had 4 knee surgeries & now am looking to get a knee replacement at only 29 years old. I can't golf nearly as much as I'd like, as every time I do it's extremely painful and affects all other areas of my life, such as even the most basic things like walking. There is nothing worse than your body failing you at such a young age. I also have extreme PTSD when other people are driving since the accident, and around train tracks. Keep your head held high, and know that we will always support you!
Steve, don't screw with the back. I have to many friends who there quality of life sucks now because they pushed it. Do your PT, and make the right decision for you. You also, have your farm to take care of and that's big part of your dream. Good luck and prayers for your future.
Go to a doctor . Get an MRI ,find out what the root cause is . I had surgery at 23 and it has been pretty good since I'm 42 nov. I'm a carpenter so my job is super physical ... I'm sure something can be done to help you out man . Have a happy new year and good luck with everything.
what was wrong with you? i am painter suffering from rsi in wrist
@@Devight. It was a back injury . Herniated disc casing a pinched nerve.. the disc actually fused itself to the nerve due to the fact it took so long to diagnose being I was 23 and the docs were like your young it's a pulled muscle . I didn't know any better at that age to push for an MRI . ..
Life's hard, and no one gets out alive... keep that chin up. You're an overcomer. Over the last year, you and the boys have completely inspired me to give my all on the golf course. I'm certain I'm not the only one... you're a beast. You'll figure it out hommie. MLR
You are still young Steve! Get the back checked out by a surgeon! I'm 73 have a scoliosis, was told when I was 17 that nothing could be done to correct, they lied! I didn't get it corrected & now it is too late! I play without back pain but it pinched nerves & now my feet are pretty numb, my right hand is starting to go numb & I'm guessing in a couple years I probably won't even be able to play golf. Please take a year off playing, get your back corrected. Work the camera for a year til you can play again. Come on Stephen! As far as companion goes, relax, leave it alone, the right person will show her face eventually, again you are still very young & life is a long road.
Steve. I had major back surgery 8 years ago and the thing that changed my life was taking up swimming. I Swim 30-40 minutes, 4-5x per week. It's a complete game changer, and allowed me to live relatively pain free. Get in the pool!
Hang in there Steve. I'm rooting for you. I'm currently struggling with sciatica so I kind of know what you are going through. Sometimes we have to go through the rain to get to the sun
you need to start exercising and stretch. I had the same problem due to sitting in a chair almost all day. I started to workout again after not lifting for like 10 months. Stretching is helping with ab workouts around 4-5 times a week with lifting weight 5-6 times a week.
I had surgery when I turned 23 back this past January, I’m 24 now almost a year out. I feel like I could start playing golf again now almost. In my opinion if you’ve tried everything then it won’t get better especially if you’re playing golf often as it’s probably one of the worst things you could do. after the surgery I can finally bed over and get in and out of bed with no pain, I haven’t really tested my limits much of what I can do but it’s life changing to have no pain, but in the end it’s up to you. You could wait like you said and tough it out for a while, while also doing all you can to strengthen your core and help your back and you may end up feeling better
I totally get the back issues, I have been dealing with them for 30+ years. I found a Sports Therapist who specialized in Golf related injuries. He gave me some stretches and exercises about 20 years ago that have enabled me to golf now well in my late 60's. Hold your head up and keep the faith!!!
I’ve broken 6 vertebrae’s in my back S2,S3,and T6-T9 with back surgery(spinal fusion) and the best thing for me to keep the pain away is working out and just stay moving, the pain will obviously still come around but that’s what I do. The days with the worse pain are the days I’m sitting around not doing anything. Hoping it gets better for you back pains miserable
You can get through it brotha man. I would definitely focus on strengthening your back and your core. It will help tremendously in the long run
Keep your head up bro sorry about the break up there’s somebody out there for you and hope your back gets better been here since you started making contact and I will always be here you’re awesome brother
Good luck with your recovery. Take care of your body it won’t get easer as you get older.
STEVE!!!! I called it. LOL. The next one, you should tell the woman that you are a goat farmer and if she wants to be with you because of you, the goat farmer, she is a keeper
Steve is my favorite member because he seems so so honest and real
I enjoy your content! I am 63 and I have had a couple of back surgeries. I still shoot in the 70s. Honestly , I take a few pain pills to get me through it. I have had to make swing adjustments to compete with the other guys. I like the adjustments Matt has made in his swing. What's weird is I thought my back problems were from working construction most of my life (brick mason)Mason. I got cancer a few years ago and I've too many x-rays , but my Dr. Noticed that the canal has not shrunk like other people had said. He said it was never big enough because of my being born premature. I think your body will let you know when it's time to get something done. I was playing golf when my left leg went numb. That was it for me. Good luck Steve !
Love you Steve. Ill pray for you, all things are possible with God.
Pilates is something to kick the tires on if you haven't already. It's not a magic bullet, but strengthening the core with Pilates has helped my back issues quite a bit.
Wrecks can be tough, I was involved in a wreck where 1 of the 4 people lived, driver passenger in the front and 1 in the back were killed instantly and in a brutal way. My GFs brother was thrown out and hit a pole in his back breaking his back and crushing his skull. It took my a long time and 10s of thousands of dollars in alcohol which nearly killed me before I realized that I was alive and nothing I did could change that they weren't. So now I just take it day by day and try to enjoy the small things
Been there Stephen. I played golf constantly and got hurt and herniated a disc. Tried to do everything I could, therapy, steroid injections, nothing helped, playing golf in that much pain, and just managing life in general day to day was painful. Gave up and had surgery. 6 weeks later my first round back I made my 2nd albatross. Surgery is scary, but when it comes to your back, sometimes that's what's needed to get back to a life without pain every day. That was over 20 years ago, and I'm still playing golf as much as work allows.
Having back pain sucks. I'm 33 and have been dealing with it for almost 5 years now. Definitely try to take it easy. Definitely see a doctor, and don't let it stop you from doing what you want to do.
Love you Stephen, I rewatch your videos from a few years ago because they are so funny. Sorry to hear bout that back pain and the breakup. Please keep your channel goin.
So sorry brother. Breakups are hard. You've got this.
Re: your back
Prayers 🙏🙏🙏
Do yourself a favor. Don't wait till it's to late to fix your back. No money will never be beter than good healt on the long run. Take care of you stephen. I appreciate you.
Steve, what you need to look into for your back is PRP therapy. PRP stands for “Platelet-Rich Plasma” and the method uses injections of a concentration of your own platelets which has been solidly proven effective in healing damaged ligaments, tendons, muscles, and other internal issues. It basically supercharges your body’s own healing process and when you are younger it yields some incredible results. Definitely worth a look into if you’re dealing with an elevated level of pain such that it’s interrupting your life so profoundly. Good luck. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
Dang man. I feel your pain, figuratively and literally. My back is my biggest barrier too. Hopefully it gets better with time.
Love your videos man. Sorry to hear about the problems with your back and the ptsd struggle. Your a big part of GG and i wish you can play golf weeks for a long time. A minor pointer with all respect, you and I share two hobbys golf and fishing witch both can be stressfull for the back. So if you can lay low with the spinning reel i recommend that 😥💚🇸🇪
First time watching your videos, you're a beast bro! great outlook man, stay healthy and keep on trucking. mad respect no matter where you end up
Brother. Do fishing, hunting, any content bro. Your contents fun to watch man. We all don’t really know what your going through or how you feel, but we’re praying for ya man. We will all be patient for the great content. Happy New Year Steve
Chiropractor, a Good Reputable one, Hurt my back in Iraq, best thing I ever did for my back, little to no pain today. I have one in Tallahassee that will change your life if interested. I will pray for you brother.
Got me, thought this was about to be about Micah and/or Grant. Onward and upward from here!
Welcome to the club …I just started golfing a year and a half ago and due to previous back injuries i can’t golf as much as I’d like ..hope your back gets better ..
completely understand the PTSD from the accident. I got in a really bad wreck too and now every second I’m in a car my body remains in full fight-or-flight mode. that kinda thing really fucks with you.
Steve I’m a 17 year old golfer/ baseball player. I have recently developed lower back problems and knee problems and it’s a struggle. I have been going to the chiropractor every 2 weeks and I definitely feel ur pain man. Keep grinding and it will pay off
Dude I can't believe that hardly anyone has mentioned chiropractic care. I have back and neck issues and when I go every couple months I feel great. It's honestly changed my life. When I know I'm going to travel or play a lot of golf I definitely go beforehand and after to get straightened out.
'It's just pain' refers to a hand injury, a bruise, a cut leg...
It does NOT refer to a spinal injury.
You are doing the right thing, but don't press on through too much pain where your back is concerned.
Go to a pro trainer (if you have not already) and have them revamp your swing to best suit your back and your short game (90 yards in,chipping, and sand shots). Then when you do practice spend 80% of your the time allotted on "The Short Game", which is most of your shots anyway. And then you will see how much pressure will leave your "Long Game" because of the confidence you've gained in your "Short Game" I think you know that because your putting practice has already paid off! You Got This And Everybody's Rooting For You. Even Ex Girlfriends (maybe not them but who cares)
All the best to you Steve. Hope you find good balance between everything and give your back a rest enough. We want to see your playing and videos for a long time!
There's something about back injuries that just never get better. I've been fighting the same thing with my back. Ive tried taking time off work(construction) to let it rest and it doesn't help at all. Don't want to do surgery but it might come to that. What helps me is keeping weight off and light exercise and stretching. I'm 49 so hopefully you can get yours healed up soon. I threw mine out at about 27 and it's never been the same. Oh, sorry bout the breakup. Stress and lack of sleep isn't good for it either.
Keep taking care of yourself the best way that you can brother! It’s a marathon. Rooting for you always.
“ goodgood office , still right here “ 😂 this man is sneaky
didnt know this man. goood luck! much love!!!
I was raised by real ones that passed out a lot of game. One thing I learned was to keep the females behind the scenes until they're a wife. Until it's locked in, keep them off the business.
Sry,to hear about your back steve, ive had back issues since 2008... you'll have good days and bad days, that's just how its gonna be unfortunately. Hope things get a bit better for you, long term..also sry to hear about your breakup.
Have no advice for social relationships 😀. But I’ve been through back injuries several times over the years. Several times I had to stop playing. I’ve gone to an upright and more compact swing and gained accuracy without losing distance. But now that I’ve turned 70 I am losing speed and distance so I have focused on always being in the fairway, and my mid irons and wedges along with putting. I can still contribute lots to my team and enjoy the chip ins and low number of putts I take. I also have to thank a couple of great chiropractors along the way.
Start swimming, doing lengths building up your core strength will ease the pain in your back, give it six months and you will need no pain killers and enjoy golf, get your self up to 50/60 lengths three times a week and your quality of life will be improved 100 percent
Did you ever think about looking into an alternate way of swinging the golf club? I would strongly suggest Jim Venuto’s golf swing!!! It’s very easy on your body and creates great golf results as well. Plus would give you a great golf content by switching to a new swing because of your back issues.
Hey brother take it from an old guy, who in the last 4 yrs plus has had his colon removed knee replaced, hernia surgery and to top it all off now the back. They are placing a SIM in my back that supposedly will stop or reduce the pain to a very low level numbers. So go see a Pain Management Specialist.
Wishing you the Best in the Future!!
good luck bud, take care of yourself first, happy holidays
❤️❤️
Yoga is your friend, spent 10 years golfing with no warm up, ended up having surgery on my L5/L6 disc and couldn’t play for 2 years
Have you considered something like DDP yoga? I’ve heard that it helped a lot of athletes with back problems
stephen! try cbg topical oil. my grandpa is 76 and had polio when he was little and had leg and back problems ever since. he can play a full 18 now and swears it was cbg’s fault!
Ptsd sucks man
I have back pain from a seriously traumatic event when I was 20. I’m 31 and I’m getting scared , my back feels like it’s being electric stimmed like 75% of the time. The ptsd is the worst part, I can’t sleep and if my dog barks my heart feels like it skips a beat and I think that someone is in the house. I’m sorry man you aren’t alone though!
Fuck the haters. Take care of your back. I had lumbar fusion surgery last year and it’s no fun. Took me about a 8-12 months to get back to swinging my clubs normal. We love your energy and need to have ya around as long as possible.
Likely helped ur swing
@@golfazsundevil much more under control now. Biggest adjustment is figuring out my distances again. Since I don’t have the torque I used to have. Only played 3 times since being cleared by my doctor so need to put some work in come spring time to get it all figured out.
Bro I rolled a Jeep and have had 5 back surgeries. The best thing I can do for it is water. Be careful and get better soon! Girlfriends are like golf balls….. they come and go! ;) Find’em French’em Fuck’em & Forget’em. Don’t do a back surgery!!!!!!!! I had to learn how to walk again after my accident and then I had Dr fk me up so bad that I’ll never work again. Lay down for 6 months before you go under a knife.
Steve prayers your pain is lifted! But just a heads up in my experience putting has always been the worst on my back much more damage than my golf swing!
Good luck Stephen but stop trying to hit the ball so hard and your back will be under less stress. Anyway all the best :)
Hey Steve. I have my doctorate in physical therapy and practice in sports medicine. I also had a compression fracture in my back when I was 18 and have a traumatic history with my back. I’m 35 now and an avid golfer. You can probably work through this!!!! As a PT I promise you we are not all created the same. I’d be happy to help you work through this free of charge. Just hit me up if you want some help.
Steve I would highly recommend the Incrediwear back brace. Best for support and recovery. Best of luck!
I have been having back problems and I went to the doc they told me I have scoliosis and been going to physical therapy and feeling way better
I like reflective, vulnerable, real Steve confessions…😮. Hope you had a merry Christmas and feeling good Mr. Quesadilla! 🙏 💪
Steve you sound like me.... Mentally in pain, physically in pain, golf game in pain
Worst if you had gotten married Steve.
How are you feeling today looking back two months ago? Mentally and physically? Good luck with your land as well. Be blessed. Surround yourself with good people. Thank you for sharing
Stay strong ....
Emotional stress affects the body or can compound something that is already nagging ...
Recognition and not over doing it along with putting some physical limitations on yourself will ultimately help you ...
Good luck
Take care of yourself 1st buddy. We’ll be here regardless.
Good on you for realizing your back giving you issues. Listen to your body and take care of it for the long run. Coming from someone whose L-1 to L-5 and S-1 are bulged and herniated. I also golf as much as I can but there are days where I can’t get out of bed. Take care of yourself and your body. Your fans and followers aren’t going anywhere. ✌🏻
Steve life 👊
Respect brother !
Lighten up that swing a bit Steve and that might help. Focus on your short game and take an extra club into the green. Maybe that will help some. Wishing you the best!
The back is no joke, unfortunately it really doesn't get better it becomes what can you tolerate! Do what's best for you and we hope to keep seeing you on CZcams!
I knew something was up.
A piece of unsolicited advice: don’t beat your body up now based on the vision of relaxing when you retire.
A beat down like that will make retirement excruciating. Take care of your body now.
It’s the only vessel you’ve got down the river of life.
You guys are young. As an old guy we know the importance of warming up, ice after, and stretching. Chiro. When your backs won’t let you play, you will learn. Take a lesson from the pros, look how they take care of theirs.
I ruptured a disk (L5) in my back @ age 28 and had insane pain shooting down my leg constantly. Tried everything (pt, chiropractor, steroid injections ) after 8 months finally decided to get the surgery (microdiskectomy) and the pain went away immediately, and have had minimal issues since. I know lot people say back surgery is not good idea but In some cases it really works. Back pain fucking sucks I hope you are able to find some relief
Bro, check out the Curable app or Dr. Sarno's work for chronic back pain. A lot of times after an injury heals its actually post trauma stress that continues to cause pain rather than any lingering physical damage. It takes some work, but it's worth it.
I feel for you Steve,I’ve been playing golf for 20yrs with back issues.I feel like crap for a couple days after a round! But I love it and keep playing!Stay strong!
Totally understand about the back issues, even just practicing putting is an issue for me having to bend over slightly for too long!
Unfortunately car crashes are the worst I experience back spasms all the time cause of the few accidents I’ve been in. Sometimes I’ll have back pain for a few days then it’ll go away then come right back if I trigger it somehow. 😢
Pain management medicine has come a long way in the past decade. I'm a bone cancer survivor and I had to shop like 20 docs until I found one who reduced my nerve. Have you tried sympathetic nerve blocks?
Merry Christmas... Have you tried QC kinetics in Tampa FL they might be able to help you with your back pain. Have a great New Year young man
Thanks for this, we all really do like and support you. You’re a great guy.
"Woke up and snapped out of that." Atta boy👏
Bro I understand the back problems, I injured mine during track and it has never been the same. Tragic.
Sounds like GoodGood needs a sponsorship deal with a top Dallas area chiropractor. I have back problems too and I know I would have a very hard time playing golf regularly and effectively without my chiropractor.
Maybe you can do other content other than golf!? Vlogs of GG, just your day, other stuff! While incorporating other things that don’t hurt your back! We’re here for you and support you!
