    This is one of the best and most accurate advice given here. I’ve done this and bingo all the time. Turn that interview into a conversation. You’ll have offers coming in ✅✅💯💯

    The huge problem is that Cybersecurity jobs are not beginner jobs. You will be lucky to have a $45k-60k SOC 1 or Security Analyst completing a Bachelors. This is why these jobs are so numerous, it’s not only the need, but the need for the very experienced. One reality also is that it’s not true that most are remote jobs.

      @RS-nc5qx that's why I advocate for people to explore the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) route to get your foot in the door. There are junior Cybersecurity GRC roles

      @@cyberfirstsolutions Really? I always saw GRC as something very high end and primarily dedicated myself to SOC and Security Analysis. Where can you get started with GRC? Also, do you need any official certifications to perform GRC as an independent contractor?

    • @cyberfirstsolutions
      @cyberfirstsolutions  Před 2 dny

      @RS-nc5qx you can get started by seeking junior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) and Security Control Assessor (SCA) roles or if you google "RMF jobs" or "GRC jobs" you'll see a bunch of them. Most companies will ask that you have at least one cybersecurity certification. The ones I would recommend are: Security +, CGRC, or CISA. If you want to specialize in card card payment processing compliance, then there will be specialized certifications for that (PCIP and QSA). You will need to get training in the specific area or framework to be considered for these roles

    Also the LinkedIn learning is Amazing. A lot of organizations/agencies are switching to LinkedIn learning for internal IDP or CDP. It’s worth it

    Why is it good that more women go into tech? Diversity never makes things better. It only makes everything harder. The only focus should be on getting the BEST candidates.

      We want everyone to get a shot at a good career to take care of themselves and their families. I've found that some women run away from information technology because they have the perception that it is technical. This is not always true. There are non-technical roles with IT.
