Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival 2023

#MCJF Pour ce dix-septième Festival qui se déroulera du 17 novembre au 2 décembre à l’Opéra Garnier Monte-Carlo, la programmation proposera 11 dates.
Le Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival recevra Ron Carter, Billy Cobham, Steve Gadd, Jan Garbarek, Macy Gray, Jeanne Added, Alex Jaffray animera « Le Son d’Alex », mais aussi Pianoforte (Baptiste Trotignon, Bojan Z, Eric Legnini et Pierre de Bethmann), Kareen Giock Thuram, Thomas de Pourquery, Keziah Jones, Incognito, Léon Phal et Dominique Fils-Aimé !
Fondé en 2006 par Jean-René Palacio, le Festival doit également son identité à ses parrains : Marcus Miller et Ibrahim Maalouf, qui ne manqueront pas le rendez-vous de cette 17e édition.
Outre ces légendes et afficionados de jazz, le MCJF propose une programmation cinématographique spécial jazz avec la projection du film Bird de Clint Eastwood en partenariat avec l'Institut audiovisuel de Monaco. Aussi, les nouvelles générations de musiciens de l'Académie Rainier III proposeront le concert JAZZ & MODERN MUSIC et feront partie du projet.
Depuis 2022, les temps forts des Before et After verront leur résurrection dans de nouveaux lieux comme le Bar de la Rotonde du Casino Monte-Carlo et occuperont également le Crystal Bar de l'Hôtel Hermitage et le Bar américain de l’Hôtel de Paris.
Rendez-vous à l'automne pour ce véritable Festival de Jazz qui en fera sonner toutes les nuances !
2023 marks the 17th Monte-Carlo Jazz Festival from November 17 to December 2 at the Opera Garnier Monte-Carlo, the program will offer eleven dates.
Open to all and to the widest audience, the MCJF will welcome: Ron Carter, Billy Cobham, Steve Gadd, Jan Garbarek, Macy Gray, Jeanne Added and, following the success of his Master Class at the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, Alex Jaffray will host "Le Son d'Alex", at the Opéra Garnier. But also Pianoforte (Baptiste Trotignon, Bojan Z, Eric Legnini, Pierre de Bethmann), Kareen Guiock Thuram, Keziah Jones, Incognito, Thomas de Pourquery, Léon Phal and Dominique Fils-Aimé.
Founded in 2006 by Jean-René Palacio, the Festival also owes its identity to its godfathers: Marcus Miller and Ibrahim Maalouf, who will not be missing this 17th edition.
In addition to these jazz legends and afficionados, the MCJF offers a special jazz film program, with a screening of Clint Eastwood's Bird in partnership with the Institut audiovisuel de Monaco. The new generation of musicians from the Académie Rainier III will also be taking part in the festival with their concert JAZZ & MODERN MUSIC.
From 2022 onwards, the Before and After highlights will be resurrected in new venues such as the Rotonde Bar at the Casino Monte-Carlo, and will also occupy the Crystal Bar of the Hôtel Hermitage and the American Bar at the Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo.
