Hey hey man
I bought the Alto Professional Stealth Wireless system for ÂŁ400... I've never used this system at an event without one of the channels cutting out every now and then. And the quality of the cables included are atrocious!
CAN YOU PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON THE YORKVILLE EXM MOBILE SUB BECAUSE IT'S OUT IN THE MARKET
AND PLEASE GIVE ME A SHOUTOUT
I lost it at number oneđ , I don't know the product but I know the rage
When you own products on this list and you realize your not the only one with issues đđ
Dj barr: the gordon ramsay of djing

I agree
I read this comment while watching Master chef
Word. True that!
Except he doesn't bring his trauma to work
Just getting started in the DJ world, but been in wedding band world for a long time. Absolutely agree with quality gear. Nobody ever regrets buying good stuff. I was looking at a Samson wireless mic for my sax, but decided to go top quality and got the AMT system. Best decision ever. A colleague got the Samson and canât walk into a crowd without losing signal. Iâve never lost it in the crowd or even when the singersâ Sennheiser wireless handhelds were cutting out. Quality matters! ;)
Thanks. Really helpful. I was thinking of getting those exact pinspots but I think I'll give them a miss now. I was also tossing up between a dedicated gobo projector where you can print your own or a projector (which we already have). Might just stick with the projector. We have some of those Gator Frameworks & quite like them. Our speakers tend to be further apart so you can't tell if they're not quite level. We also have one of those SKB cases. We haven't had any problems but not any better than a standard ABS case that you can buy for a lot less.
Watching this made me realize that YOU are the reason I bought those Chauvet Wash lights in the first place but also, that I value your opinions and appreciate what you do.
Expletives excepted, an enjoyable and informative video, thank you. Made me glad I chose Gator over SKB for shallow cases way back!
So glad I bought the Gator shallow case. I saw your SKB rig video and almost make the same mistake. Sweetwater talked me into Gator.
Hi there! We're so sorry to hear you had a bad experience with one of our rack cases. It sounds like you got a manufactured defect if the holes weren't aligned. And because these cases are rotationally molded, the lids are molded with the case and therefore correspond to a specific side. Our customer service team is always ready and willing to help customers troubleshoot or resolve any issues with our products. We also have a lifetime warranty on all of our hard cases!
Ive had great experience with SKB.
Great video. I bought a Chauvet light that is like a disco ball that others said wasn't good but I love it
Love your video bro, I'll not make these mistakes :) but just be careful at 16:50 I almost spit on my phone laughing hard lmao
Enjoyed the reviews and refreshing to see we all going through the same stuff across the globe.
By far one of the funniest videos i seen from Barrđ€Ł 3:06 am and im here cracking up. Great job ! Definitely worthy of a like
A lot of helpful info. Thank you!
good video Barr.. im so glad i didn't listen to you when u were recommending that SKB rack. I almost bought one but something told me not to . Peace carnal !
Hey man as a sound engineer Iâll have to say if you plan on moving the glxd series around from venue to venue you should definitely invest on the rack mountable ones and buy the frequency manager. Iâve had better experiences with the glxd series without the manager at a fixed venue when theyâre the house mics because you set them up and find the right channels and donât have to worry about it
Many DJ's do not have an extensive audio background, so they do not know to do a frequency search in each location that they set-up in. DJ's also need to set the receiver to what State/Zip Code they are using the wireless mic in, if they have a higher end wireless system. Also make sure your antennas are not obstructed by a rack or any other equipment. Always point your antennas up, not to the sides.
Had and sold 4 racked GLXDs w/ Frequency manager and paddles, worked better but not great. Went to the QLXDs, never going back.
Love this video, man the sickness continues to bite me. I am learning.
Turning this video into a drinking game! Every time he says "20$ tripod" you gotta take a shot! ROFL My liver is gonna croak! đ
Be even funnier if it was just the word "tripod" đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Hey Brah. Keep up and be safe out there.. Can you recommend any wireless handheld mic that is between $300-600 price range. That has rack mount capable. I was looking between AT, Line 6 and Shure. Should I get the 2.4 ghz or go with UHF band witdh.. I kive in Eastcoast just incase for the freq. range. Thanks
Iâve seen your review on amazon of the SKB case and purchased the 6U one anyway from AMS - No problems at all with it. You must have received a defective unit, but I also purchased a Gator just in case per your review lol
Yeah I got the EZ Gobo a few years ago too, only used it a handful of times. The transparency paper gobos looked decent, you just can't get insane detail. You do need to be pretty close to project it. Just got a new laser projector to do monograms, way easier and better!
I still have, and use my GLXD4 Shure microphone regularly for weddings. It has never dropped out on me yet. Coupled with a good RCF 10 mixer, it sounds good too. Your comments made me feel lucky. I do agree with you however, that you need to spend more to get more. I am going to replace this unit for the new Sennheiser EW-D.
I am with you on the Sennheisers. I love their quality.
I'm with you David, love my GLXD4's - its my mic / system of choice for guests & students. I bring 2 to gigs, one being a backup to my higher end QLXD system (only for me. I dont share mics). The GLXDs only failed me twice- once playing on the top floor of a big hotel (right below their satellite dishes etc and no wireless mic would work there, so it was hardwire time) and the 2nd was when the receiver was quite far away from the mic and not in line of sight, shall we say - that was the only time i experienced "drop outs". I was alsoglad for my glxd4 when i was singing at a festival with an inexperienced sound team - they just could not handle the more sensitive (better higher end) system, but they could manage the glxd. Go figure.
I agree on the tripods. Mine came scratched on the inside which made them really hard to expand. They were also very poor build quality (pretty much plastic).
Yep, I have an SKB 4U for two amps. It's plastic but not roto molded. Really tired of having to put cables back into it because the butterflies wont stay closed. They'll vibrate open just riding on a dolly and the cover just falls off. I've worked with people that have the same Anvil cases for 40 years and the butterflies are fine. Cant wait to replace it.
Excellent information.
Agreed about the GLXD...we had a show where we started having major issues during soundcheck, so we finally bit the bullet and went with the QLXD
This was a great breakdown!
Thatâs crazy. I guess Iâve never messed with the shallow racks, but I have 2 of the 6 rackmount roto molded skb cases. I have beat them to hell and back. My only complaint is the lids are always in the way when not in use đ
Thanks for your advises đ€đ
hope you feel better bro...
thanks for you video I was bout to but those share gdlx yeah the battery option is very atractive, my friend has one he never complain about drop outs, I too bought the chauvet fx swarm use them for my back yard gigs, I use ultimate crank tripods... not so heavy but strong I had load them with 4 5R 38 lbs fixtures and 4 jbl VRS 45lbs cabs. plus cables and trust weight...
I do have a plastic rack case done remember if is SKB gator. it's a 8 space With wheel use it for my amps and mic recivers. so far works. great đđđ
OMG when you got to number 1....that was so funny. Great one.
Great video brother. I bought the Gator frames tripods. I only use them for ceremonies or sometimes for gobos. Thatâs the only reason they have lasted me 4 years.
This is useful. I love this video!
A hint at buying shure microphones, at least get the beta Aâs or higher. They have a narrower cone and better dynamics both very useful for lessening feedback. And a richer tone. Shure SM58 at $70-99 were once the industry standard - decades ago. They are still decent Mics but the next level up is so much better. The betas or better are usually $50-$100 more. For the lifetime of a microphone thatâs worth it. Also guitar center has a good deal with Shure mics for cost and warranty. And one reason why you wanna have shure microphones - for the people that drop and hit the micâs. Believe me they handle so much damage of years and years from karaoke singers.
I love my EZ GOBO, I make my own gobos have them put on 35mm slides,
Just rewatched this and damn Barr was going in on SKB lmaooooooo
I'm not a DJ but a musician and I've learnt my lesson the hard way buying cheap arse speaker stands and mic stands. I also regretted buying an SKB rack case for my mixer and EQs that nearly gave me a hernia when lifting it! My K&M speaker stands cost me a lot of money but they are very secure and don't stress about my PA squeakers falling over.
I bought different wireless mics for weddings and they all got all weird interceptions, I got so frustrated that I went back to wire mics and never had a problem afterwards.
Great video
For me, itâs the ADJ Stinger, a solid wood carpeted DJ Facade, and the Chauvet DJ GigBar Move 5-in-1. The first one is ok if you disable strobe, because thatâs terrible for anyone who may have epilepsy. After being in an accident, strobe lights cause me bad migraines. That being said, even before that, strobe effects were the first thing Iâd disable. This means that at that point, itâs just an expensive light that shoots out red and green laser effects at an equal, or less than level of a cheap 35 dollar wireless effects light on Amazon. The carpeted facade is impossible to clean, itâs insanely heavy, it canât be backlit, and it looks awful. I only used it once and it cost more than my current 4-6 panel facade that gets a great deal of compliments for its clean and crisp appearance. The Chauvet (Being Haitian, French and Creole are my first languages, is pronounced Show Vay) GigBar Move 5 in 1 is a hot mess. It canât be used for weddings or sweet 16s because it ruins photos, and having all those messy effects, even set up via DMX, loses its appeal after the patterns have repeated over and over again, plus, most of the built in light shows contain strobing effects, which, once again, hurt most peoples eyes. As a result you get loud looking red and green bursts of color, a ton of laser effects, then moving lights that go off in between, where none of the individual parts are actually as good as fully dedicated versions of any of them. On top of that, despite being in a bar, the actual wiring into each light is clearly visible, making any initially classy presentation look messy.
Having clean moving head lights that light the dance floor smoothly and look clean in photos, with wires that are hidden by totem stands, and totem stands that have wireless par uplighting looks clean and classic for weddings and events, photographers also donât mind them. The one place where the laser effects look nice is hidden behind the dj booth, facing up at the ceiling. Itâs a nice effect at that point, but a large stinger light isnât needed to get that effect.
Now, that being said, I love cold spark machines, since they add great value to any event, but the dust can be a little rough near white scrims and wedding dresses, so I keep them off to the sides. The only other downside there is that most venues in many cities see them as indoor pyrotechnics, and as such, theyâre banned from many venues. I also love the Nimbus, but it requires a good sweep of the dance floor after the couples dance as the dry ice and scent free fog solution can leave the dance floor feeling slightly slick. The upside to both of those is the amount that can be charged by adding them to a wedding, or special event package, as long as the possible downsides are taken into consideration.
Funny video man...I saw all those videos of products you recommended and went meh. lol Sennheiser mics have been so good after having entry level Shure ones for sure! Some Chinese $30 Guitar Center ones were much better. I have the spin pots but use them on a gravity stand to highlight candy tables, cakes or chandeliers when needed. Same for the EZ Gobo, never used it as a gobo at all, just a spot. Also, never mounted them on a ceiling for all the reasons you gave. Looking for new tripods and sub poles, Frankenstand take my money!
I know this video is no longer new, but imagine my surprise to be entertained while running this all the way to the end only to discover the top piece of trash kit is the same rack I've been using for my ceremony rig since 2016. Based on what you lost, the rant is deserved. Either I'm lucky or you got a lemon. But I did carefully examine my butterfly hinges just now.
Everything you said, I had too and they pretty much do kinda suck or really suck a lot. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Barr, you're bang on about 99 percent of the bad gear but I find the pin spots are fine. I've used 2 of them for 2 years as accent lights in various ways. You're right about the pin spots are not great in every situation but I found uses like at Halloween for uplight applications and spotlighting props or as accent lights at Xmas, St. Patty's Day and Halloween parties. I love that they are inexpensive, small, bright, battery powered, easy to setup, magnetic and remote controlled. So its the best product out of the ones you mentioned. However, I only bought two.
Barr is far nicer than Gordon just sayin' by a mile lol
Iâve never heard you cus so much as on #1. Love it.
đđđđ I got 2 of the 10.... Gator stands and the Shure mics.... Stands have been good.... Mics have too.... but I feel you bro!
Hi! I got a ÂŁ11 tripod from a dj store and i put the speaker on it and it broke and snapped instantly! Big Fan Man! keep up the good work!
ÂŁ11 sounds a bit cheap for a speakerâŠwhere was this at? Just curious.
WHOA. I have much love on those pin spots invaluable tool especially if you hire & need to set up a mirror ball no cable no problem everything has a magnetic surface everywhere. I also live in a Cyclone area so ceilings not that high so for me they are well worth the cash but i get where your coming from.
I had an AKG mic, thankfully I switched it out before it gave me problems but then I got the Samsons that were absolute trash. I too fell for the Chauvet EZ-Gobo and realized after one gig that I would never be able to use it.
Yes, the SKB case sucks. I bought it before I saw this. Barr is đŻ correct. The lids pop off so easily. Thankfully, I was able to return it for a refund.
I have also AKG wireless mic, but it gave me a lot of problem. Then I go to Sennheiser EW100 845 g4. 100 meter range and rock solid performance without signal dropout.
The only one I would disagree with you on is the pin spots, there are so many different applications for those lights, and especially if you still use a mirrorball for some gigs. It helps to accent your uplighting as well, and you can place one or more on a very lightweight photography stand, and light a cake, or any accented piece for a wedding. I agree about the ceilings, but if you think outside the box, you can really have some great applications for those. Microphones 100% agree never cheap out on your microphones. After being in the audiovisual business for 17 years, you learn these things only through experience. Great video.
I had a Swarm Wash for a little while. I think I wouldâve liked it more if I had a second one to master/slave them. I am by no means a DJ, but I like to have a few lights around for the occasional party, wedding, or dance I get to do.
I had the same problem with AKG microphones. I sent them back and they said they looked at them and there was nothing wrong.
Still had the problems, cutting out, banging etc.
I gave them away in the end.
That's crazy, I've had zero issues with that exact SKB case with my wireless mic kits. You definitely got a bad apple.
I got to say is, after seeing this, Iâm definitely glad I didnât go for the Gator Frameworks speaker stand and went for the Ultimate Support instead. I might have to look into another mic system!!! I do have the Shure GLXD4 mic system but I never had any issues with it YET!!!
Hey Barr, I also must suggest you get speaker stand bags. ON-Stage makes pretty good ones that are padded and hold two stands each. That way you won't ruin you're stands. The only thing is I don't use Frankenstands. I use aluminum light weight crank stands.
I have the onstage stands with the bags going on 10 years. Best money spent.đđŸ
I still think the original is the best. My Ultimate Stands have never let me down.
What websites are good to download dj music? I had used bpm but they dont have alot of variety.. especially en español
Totally agree that you get what you pay for with microphones!! My DJ booth has Shure SM58 wired. LOL Most of my gigs select less mic work on my questionnaire anyway. Ceremonies I use Shure ENG100 series of belt packs. Bought the kit with the extra plug on transmitter to use on a Shure SM57 with Shure flattop foam cover when the reception asks for a wireless mic to pass around. Looks just like the president podium mics. lol I have that standing up next to my DJ controller if needed. That kit was $1500. 2 transmitters, two receivers, two lavs and the plug on transmitter. NEVER EVER had any issues. They can also be used for a wireless remote speaker. Fresh alkaline batteries and never use rechargeable batteries. They search for the best channel bank to use in that area and with the input and receive signal bar readouts you cant go wrong during setup. I have beach wedding coordinators in my area use me just because my mics work! lol I keep them in a Pelican case with foam inserts. It's the beach! lol I also sold my ADJ Stinger twos for multiple reasons.
Also shout out to DJ Rick Webb with his video on hiding the lav mic and not have wind noise. I used his tips for windy beach ceremonies.
Rookie, Keep at it,only way to learn,Goodluck
Man I bought the swarm5(lasers suck), the gator stands because I thought it would help in lifting tops and the pin spots. My fault for listening to the GC salesman. Good video.
I have those Shure mics they arenât that bad have used them for about 4 years & yes it drops out once or twice out of 12 parties I do but no big deal. Just switch the channels.
Dang! You got fired up there BR.. lol I agree with you on most. I absolutely loved the Gator Stands ... and then I broke a latching track.. Plastic? I was bummed, (to be fair, they were good about replacing it) I used them for quite a few events and I was good about tightening things up to keep it safe before events. At strike, as I was taking them down, the bracket on one of the legs separated and the whole tripod and PRX 815 came crashing down! It landed on a chair where a guest had been just 30 minutes prior. If they would have just used aircraft style nuts on the fasteners and an extruded aluminum track this would be the best product out there but..... it isn't. U nailed it
I love the intros mate đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Going hard in the paint. Respect for honesty!
I had the swarm FX for like 6 years lol. I ended up disabled the laser, hated the dot effect as well. But a damn good light to last that long⊠they finally hit the trash after giving up after year 7 lol
AKG hahaha i bought 1 wireless and the following wedding season i bought another one ! Ok now i own the Shure BLX24R/SM58 Wireless System .. I have had the Shure for about 5 years NO PROBLEM at all. Never go cheap on a wireless mic they always seem to screw up at the most crucial moment!
Hella on point with the Shure GLX... but my issue was the gargling robot sound it would make when we would use it. Would literally happen at the WORST possible time during ceremony & Best Man speeches. Made me truly question if I should use another Shure product again.
Hey DJ Barr. Thank you. I had the same embarrassing experience with the Shure GLXD4. I eventually gave it away!!!
What wireless microphone would you recommend for DJs?
Lol i so agree with you ,had swarms gone, ez gobo gone, akg mics gone. Tripods early on gone,i use Ultimate stands.
Good points made
Only thing I disagree with is the SKB I've had 3 over the years all still in good shape functioning as they should. One held a QSC 3002 2sp the second was for a system console from Colorado Sound and light I think it was 14sp with a sliding rack at the bottom the third held a laptop, mixer and mics for Karaoke
But did you have the plastic molded version that he's referencing?
I got a cheap two mic system. One year and it is still working. Sometimes You strike gold. Lol good looking on the gator stands. I was going to get them
I had a Maid of Honor do a mic drop with my expensive mic......never again, cheap wires for the party, and corded mic for me. Iâve had a dual $150.00 mic and itâs been great everywhere.
DJ N8 my mic sounds really good for 150 mics. Did not drop yet. Knock on wood but it perfect for me
I donât think Iâve heard Barr throw an F Bomb without censoring it with the duck sound so you know this case sucks ass lmaoo
Yeah Barr was pissed! lol
everyone forgets heâs from Jersey.
@@MrCalebgrayson actually he immigrated Iâm pretty sure
Old video but in terms of microphone stuff, I've found great success with the Sennheiser XSW 835. Around 320 for a single microphone, 650 for 2.
I like my Frameworks. I did buy them from my local Long & Mcquade so I had a guarantee that they worked/were complete.
yo barr, i have some recommendations for stands and mics. really expensive but for stands i would recommend the ultimate support air powered series. i have TS-110BL which has a height of 9â2â and a leveling leg. it can raise speakers on itâs own with max height of 55lbs. but it can hold up to 165lbs. itâs heavy duty, durable, and has a better system. there also isnât as much tilt on your speakers. and for mics i would recommend the audio technical system 10 pro atw-1322. they are actually wifi enabled mics. so each mic has a cartridge that is removable from the receiver and you can use ethernet to connect the cartridge to the Receiver and then still connect your receiver to your mixer. the wifi mode is able to stay connected to your mic up to 200ft which is a lot. iâve used these mics quite a few times and they sound amazing. they are super clean. both of these products are pricey but i highly recommended
I work for guitar center and on Black Friday 6 years back I was setting up a PA system using gator frameworks hydraulic speaker stands. The hydraulic failed on one of the stands, and the QC speaker landed on my foot, breaking my toe. From there Iâve never sold one again.!!
Have you ever tried HERCULES
Speaker /lighting /mic stands
Amazing products
Still using same ones after 20 years ..Highly recommend
I LOVE my EZ Pin-Spots! I have the white ones (featured in the video) and the Chauvet H-1 Series. I use them almost every gig. Yes, asking for a ladder sucks, but most venues have them.
Over the years watching Barr's vids - it seems like there are alot of snotty venues that he works with so i can feel his pain and frustrations. Thankfully here in WA state, the venues are pretty easy going and accomodating.
I agree with most on here but the mics and skb case. did you try changing the channels and scan the room for the best signal on them? If you don't scan the room looking for the best channel to use then you are going to get drop outs and other noise on them.
As for the skb case, I have a similar one and it has served me well. my covers stay on and I have my expensive mics in there. No issues here brother, user issue on both items maybe?
I do agree that he probably hasn't spent enough time figuring out how to run wireless microphones. You have to scan them number one. Number two you should have the antennas higher so they're not going through all the bodies. The arch enemy to wireless signals is metal and water and we are made of water. Also I have invested in directional paddle antennas and they make something that was nearly bulletproof exactly bulletproof. I use them for my outdoor ceremonies with my Sennheiser EW100 lav microphones.
You made me laugh on this one đ
Lol @ pinspot. Same bad experience đđđ
This vid gave me the feels! Glad to know what to look for AND what to upgrade. Thanks for all the awesomeness you put out!
Barr u do all brother bless upđŻ
This video is by far the funniest and useful video you have ever produced. I laughed so fucking hard. Please do some more of the worst shit not to but. I can relate to this gig log since I too have learned what not to buy. Thanks again. Funny funny funny.
I have the Sure SLXD4 (vice GLXD4), about $550. So far, so good. I've always kept a corded SM-58 with me just in case.
im guessing you really liked the skb flight case? :P joking love your vids dude but cant understand the issue you had with the shure microphone i use that but beta87a in the uk and never had one drop out
I've made similar mistakes over my 16+ years. I bought the original chauvet gobo led lights. You could use transparent film to print your own gobos. And I invested in up lighting. Most venues both these ideas they were completely uses for.
I also bought a screen to set up behind me for lighting effects. The extra time it took to set up was painful. Plus most venues didn't have the room to be set up.... Complete waste of money
Barr you gotta do research on gear not rely on review wether CZcams or from in-person. With that said Iâve been using the GLXD and GLXD ADVANCED for years. You just need someone to show how and where to use them.
The GLXD is best outside, if being used inside you have to be at least 10 feet away from any other WiFi router and must be the last thing to turn on. The advanced units can be used anywhere but works best with distro unit when you have 2 or more.

Nowadays everybody and their mom are Djs and in the process sadly the craft has lost respect as an Art form I've seen and heard talented people with the minimal of equipment do amazing things, we blame the car but not the driver! back in the day even a bunch of candles would of suffice no subwoofers or laptops now we complicate our lives with looking good rather than sounding good! To all new guys spend your money wisely in the best tool you have; your brain! Study music and for goodness sake at least learn how to set your levels right!
Well said ..
Well said! I've been doing this job 27 years and I'm still learning! Alas I've never slagged a company off on CZcams for the world to see cause I wasn't happy with the effect of the lights!
I haven't met a DJ that didn't like the effect that lights have in any setting but most new DJ's never been or worked with Disco era set ups, fuse popping 1200 watts bright! Heavy monsters Lol! Find it funny new DJ's complain about new led lights! Or carrying a 10 Terabyte external memory! I used to use a dolly just for the music! đđđŒđ”đ¶đșđđ¶đąđđ
@@josesegura2090 , Been DJing since 1979.
I couldnât agree with you more. I loved introducing new music, reading the crowds, knowing all the genres, and really connecting with the people.
When I saw my first event with a laptop and the DJ just staring into the monitor I thought, so this is the next phase of DJing.
You might as well play a Spotify list.
I only do one or two gigs a year now, mostly for friends and family that Iâve known for years who are getting married or want some type of party. Itâs still fun and I really enjoy it but I sure miss the old days. Oh, and I do have the newest equipment these days. I gave all my old gear to my dear departed partners daughter who is now carrying on the DJ trade.
@@josesegura2090 it's not about the dj. It's about making the venue look good for the client.... if you're not into the decorating swallow your pride stick to the music and leave the rest to the professionals.
Damn you went in about that SKB case! Lmao! Gator all the way bro.
Iâve never had problems with SKB cases. I must have 20 of their rack cases, 2U to 10u and slant 10/6 and 8/4s.
THANKS! APPRECIATE YOU PLAYA !
Any thoughts on phenyx microphones. I keep seeing so many promos on Facebook
I have an AKG $100.00 wireless mic. I took great care of the mic knowing it was a cheap mic and I have to say after 6 years its still going strong. Its no Shure but it gets the job done till you have money to upgrade then you can keep it as a reliable back up.
Which one?
This was EPIC! LMAO!
Can u do a video on solar back up power
We've just upgraded to all sennheiser G4 wireless mics and possibly soon the ew-d. Not the cheapest, but well worth the investment
I use pinspots for me to light up my table or myself for djing or point it at the crowd
AGREEED ON TRIPODS First and last mistake K&M Forever current set i use are 12 years old NEVER EVER missed a beat and you are right they get a hard life
Biggest waste of money for me was the Mackie HD speakers. I purchased 2 of the 15' 2 way tops and 1 sub, they all went out in the first year and needed service. I trashed them and started purchasing QSC speakers which have served me well.
