The studio version is played on a 6 string therefore can be learnt by all in E standard. As seven strings have an added low B it can ALSO be played on a seven string as they do live so they don't have to waste time switching guitars around.
Should I ever be graced with meeting you, beware, I am going to give you the biggest Bro Hug this world has ever seen. Thanks you Trivium, you guys are amazing!
@JAAM013 Actually, Corey is the only one that uses the Peavey's, Matt uses Marshall JCM900's according to a very recent (2009/2010) interview in Guitar World. Corey has used Peavey amps since the beginning, Matt's always been using Marshall's. However, they did for awhile for lessons and warming up, use Marshall MG Mini Stacks. Check out their Guitar World lessons circa 2005/2007 to see what I'm talking about.
@metallicafan954 I know they use Peavey 6505 and 6505+ amps on stage and in the studio, but they like the peavey tube vypyrs as practice amps so im not sure which one their using here but its most likely one of those two
they may use seven strings sometimes but thats because they dont switch out with their six strings so they just play the seven string guitars and not use the seven string
@metallicafan954 I was thinking the tone here was very muddy, but I'm a little different when it comes to guitar sound. I like raw, tube tone, unless it's Dimebag's solid-state tone. Example, the Megadeth Youthanasia album or the Master of Puppets album is my fav. Dime was the only guitarist that could pull off solid-state amps in my book.
Back in the good old days. Would give many things to be back in 2008-9.
*Aaahhh the good old economic crisis days*
