  • If Scott Morrison had ordered enough vaccines, we wouldn’t be facing endless lockdowns.
We’d be with our families, friends and colleagues feeling safe.
But he never does his job.

So one of the first in line Iv'e been fully vaccinated since about April. No vaccine passport yet? Too little, too late; sums up my thoughts of Scott Morrison completely. Coalition should have kept Turnbull, I know he was unlikeable, but he would have backed the science and handled this markedly better in the initial stages like Jacinda Ardern. Nobody in the Coalition has the skills or expertise to run a country anymore, it is a boy's club dominated by narcissists. The smart cookies have left, and the crumbs that are left are really that uneducated when it comes to handling an epidemic. The disaster we are facing is a measure of pure arrogance and incompetence of the Coalition. I am glad Victoria has a leader who is willing to take action and not care if people hate him. I didn’t vote for him, but I think I will next election. No wonder there are so many whacky conspiracy theorists nut jobs out there; it really is that hard to believe that the Federal Government is that incompetent. Julia Bank's book Power Play has some really eye-opening insights as to how the party currently works. Such a shame the party lost some decent members like her. I don't think I'll ever vote for the Coalition again. I really dislike unions, but I'd rather vote Labor than have more of Captain TooLittle and his cronies again.

Albo may not be wrong but the last time Labor were in power some of their policy decisions made it very unclear if they actually were the lesser evil. Ok sure, call bs, but Labor definitely can do better. If you follow your own discourse Albo then you'll put most of your energy into providing a trustworthy alternative to this travesty. i was so jaded about Labor especially regarding development in Sydney I though things were so far gone, a Liberal government could hardly be worse but boy did the NSW LIbs show me.
And i wouldn't be pinning the blame for the mess NSW is in primarily on ScoMo. Why? The states have had certain discretion. i agree in the last 24 hours or so he has completely shot his whole previous covid rehetoric in the foot, apparently based on the NSW government's blatant failure and "Doherty modelling".
But the fact is throughout the majority of the Delta breakout we have been locked down but with no outdoor mask mandate with the virus treated as though it won't leave discreet council areas even if a number of people regularly cross lines.
If NSW"s Delta policy (remain open for the whole of end pf year sales) is compared to SA's (same variant spread was controlled), we can see SA government, whatever their faults might be, instituted a short sharp lockdown. If you compare the rules, it's very different to NSW's..SA's short sharp thorough effort worked; NSW's doesn't make sense, just like the Ruby Princess machinations don't make sense. Late stage lockdown was obviously doomed to fail and result in stretched out draconian measures as they dragged their feet. I'm not Nostradamus but i am not surprised we are now at 1000 infections a day, a new record for Australia daily, after _months_ of foot dragging.
i recognise many decisions would be unpopular whatever they were, but this is one of the most poorly managed examples of governance I've ever seen in my lifetime, and it just keeps on going. Ultimately the Federal Government including ScoMo may have responsibility but let's not forget the NSW government.

U politics are the blight on this earth. Honour, dignity and respect
don’t flow through the veins of these things. They’re the reason old school
values and comradary is like the snow of yesteryear. Gone like they’re souls.

Nice speech n all...seems more like an opportunity to gain prime ministerial candidate votes, I'm sure albanese would do a better job and that's not saying much, but where is the legislation for punishment where incompetency has been perjured.
And what politician would risk such penalties

  • @thestephenglynnshow1814

‘Vaccines and quarantine’ can Anthony say anything else. I follow politics and I actually don’t know what labor stands for.
Strong on climate change ☑️which is great. Nobody thinks they’re better with the economy and there backing of the tax cuts would suggest as much.
Strong on unions ☑️ strong on social issues but honestly that is nearly a negative in 2021 because politicians just come across as woke and annoying on that.
Where is the spark coming from labor?
