Khraw was the footwear used in old times that kashmiris had devised themselves given the harsh weather of Kashmir.
This video brings in the process of making/carving this wooden sandal out of a wooden log. This can be done by artistic hands only.

khraw wordmust have derived from the sanskrit word khadau . how difficut was the lives of older times. noe people are not satisfied with most comfrortable stylish branded shoes sandals and in older times people used to wear these hard wooden non flexible footwear with those spiky grass ropes to support that too on hill areas. really life was so difficult at that times.
