Highlights from the 2010 Grizzly expedition season: Kodiak to Katmai with Natural Habitat Adventures.
The Coast of Katmai, on the Alaska Peninsula is the best place in the world to live, if you are a bear. This compilation of highlight scenes shows the incredible qualityof bear viewing, fantastic scenery, and diverse wildlife encountered on these expeditions.
Though seeing wolves on these trips is not as sure as finding bears, the past few years have been exceptional as wolf populations are growing, and they learn that humans in this vast national park will not harm them. We saw wolves on 75% of our expeditions in 2010, many at extremely close distances, and often interacting with bears.
Bears on the coast of Katmai are as numerous as anywhere on the planet. Only coastal brown bears or grizzlies live here, as the habitat is not suitable for black bears.
Hunting has been banned in Katmai National Park for many decades, and the few visitors who travel to this extremely remote and wild region of Alaska coexist with bears with mutual respect. This is likely the world's greatest bear viewing expedition!
This 6 passenger expedition entails exploring a variety of bays and fjords on a vessel, and walking ashore each day to view bears, wolves, and other wildlife, as well as exploring Kodiak Island. Alaska at its greatest!

Wow, some of the best shots of bears and other wildlife I've ever seen...thanks for posting...
The young wolf walking right up to the mother grizzly and cub was incredible!
This was really special. great work by this entire team.
Well captured and edited video I've ever seen on CZcams. Well done mate!! 🇮🇪
It’s amazing how they fight for 1 fish when there is a stream full of them
Good to know that there are places of nature like this. Great footage, cheers from Germany
Beautiful video. It always amazes me, how these massive animals can move so fast. 3:10 🤣❤😂
Amazing. Can't believe the video quality is from 11 years ago.
We in Italy have Bears too..It's the Marsicano bear, which is one species of Brown Bear..They live in the Abruzzo National park, a moutainous and green region in the centre of Italy..
Im late, but are they still around? Mariscan Brown Bears are beautiful.
Love watching the bears!
A good movie I love to see time and again is called The Bear. It came out several years ago but the principal actors are the grizzly bears. Very well made and fascinating to watch.
The wildlife there is truly breathtaking to see and the background is stunning amazing footage thank you
Wonderful video. Thank you!
Fantastic video!
'WOW' ... incredible footage ...
Amazing!. Formidable animal they fight with everything, teeth, giant paws and claws, weight and muscle. Their fast too.
Absolutely beautiful and majestic. ❤❤❤
Right on great video
Hope we never destroy the great wilderness of Alaska.
Actually our world.
👍
Eventually we will....
Jgeorge. I live in Alaska year around, not your transient summer seasonal worker up here, hear from tourists all the time saying , oh Alaska we become overdeveloped some day, no way! Much of Alaska land is already set aside as national parkland, wildlife refuges, state parks, national forest lands bigger then some states and almost entirely roadless, plus our terrain is to rugged, and remote to develop. Chew on this, Alaska is 1/5th the size of the USA, 360 million acres of land! Ready out of that only “approx 1% of Alaska is developed”! Think about that, with only approx 780 thousand people. Get it now???😉😳👍
At the rate our ice caps are shrinking, it's pretty bad already
Wow 👍 Wonderful 👍 Thanks for posting 👍!
1:41 - 1:49 that was amazing... exquisite filmography!!!
How can someone have the nerve to kill these gentle giants ?
Awwww. The one cub at beginning is all cuddled up next to its sibling
Did a good job catching the fish!
Excellent though never realized there were grizzlies in Katmai.
Apex predator gets in face of cub
Mama bear: Hello wolf how do you do?
Hiker walking one hundred yards away
Mama bear: you have chosen death
Oh they’re gorgeous I love them all
Awesome My Favorite Bear. 🐻👍🏻
That wolf has got some nerve lol
Kali Kiel Ed
Awesome movie. Just incredible nature and habitats.
Great video. Thank you 😊
Great video Thanks!
What can i say??? Again you made it happen!! AWESOME WORK!!!
Beautiful amazing footage. I am amazed that you captured so many great clips; you must have a hell of a telephoto lens.
That bear have so serious muscles 💪 one hit from that paw and you’re done
Beautiful bears
Thank you for this upload. Great video
Nice work Brad. Some really nice moments there.
I love bears .. thanks for the video !
I wonder why wolves would mess with those bears like that. Maybe they were trying to see if they could scavenge something or maybe play?
"You’re stronger than any test, paper due, breakup, money issue, or any battle you’re facing. Keep your head up".
Unfortunately, some people when looking at this landscape would only think how much oil could be drilled there.
This one been hitting the gym 9:21
so wild and cute at the same time want to hug them
Beautiful
awesome video!
12:36 freaking beast
Amazing!!
That was beautiful , thank you , SOME DAY , I want to go up there myself , someday , BTW , one of the guys @ work , says he has a Large Norwegian wolf\dog hybrid , and that it could kill a full-grown Grizzly , I say , it would never happen , no way .
No way
Send this to him to show him the true power of a grizzly
@Guy Brooks He's dreaming.
Awesome!😍😍😍
12:05 He looks half puppy. I never saw a bear with hound dog ears.
12:38 My WORD! Is that a bus!
Why the hell this video has so few views?? I'D DESERVES DOZENS MILLIONS!!!!
Short but nice nature video
Yeah well done 👏✔👍👌😀🙌
12:40 The Arnold of Bears... that's incredible, I hope this bear is protected.
Driven, this footage was shot on the Alaskan peninsula in Katmai National Park, hunting is not allowed here, you can’t even have a gun in This national park. Do some research on Alaska before you talk about it!😉
I actually said, "Oh my God!" out loud when I saw him...
xX AMAZING DOCUMENTARY Xx
This is all I ever wanted
12:36, I know bears are big...
...but holy moly that is *big*
the wolf is a cheeky bastard pushing his luck they look so much better with their winter coat mine did he was beautiful in the winter i used to rest my head on him so warm then he would jump down and lay under the bed until the sun came up and would wake me with his howling and the neighbors ha ha
@ 8:09 the speed from dead stop to that lunge.......and previous fights over food
Speed and power is ridiculous.....
One thing I've learned watching scary bear attacks is that if you really must observe bears for whatever reason observe the ones that are really really really fat.
It was neat when a mother bear just rolled on to her back as if to say ok kids have some milk
WOW WOW' Monster Grand daddy Grizz Looking Strait in to your Lens. Monster could Bite a tree in half. Great videos Thanks
So sad, the wolf is hungry too and has babies to feed also
sparks: one d amaze is bear it is awesome to their sight whoa!!!!
Aren’t they adorable?
8:29 OH NASTY, the fish was torn in half while it was still alive, you could see its tail flipping for a few seconds right before it gets ripped off
Beautifully shot! I am so curious what the wolf was after that it took such huge risks going up to the grizzlies. Were she and her cubs starving? Was she so desperate that the chance of some fish scraps was worth risking her life?
@12:43 OMG the size of that dude.....gotta be well over 10ft.....1300lbs plus......Jeez he is huge
Shit the wolf has cubs aswell uh oh looks like its protective mother wolf vs protective mother bear
Lone wolf more than likely coaxing them away from den or babies nearby.
*I TRULY LOVE BEARS, ESPECIALLY GRIZZLIES!! *IF I COULD COME BACK AS ANY ANIMAL? IT WOULD MOST DEFINITELY BE A "HUGE" "POWERFUL" "FIERCELY PROTECTIVE OF CUBS" "MOTHER F'N" OF A GRIZZLY BEAR!!!
I can't decide whether that fox is brave or stupid......as big as mama bear is, I'd keep my distance!! 😂
Are the kodiak brown bears that much bigger and aggressive than these of katmai
4:23 friendly negotiation
Wolf is smart he knows it can kill the cub. Trying to lure him
fish that bear pulled out was massive 8: 09
12:41 just gourge.. what a Beast.
Until man comes around a shootin!!
How do grizzlies stack up in a fight with a Kodiak bear? Do they ever interbreed?
Kameracılarda ayılardan nasiplenirse fena olmaz. 😂
Smart.
4:08 wolf trying to lure the smaller one away so that it can eat it even a bear that size... how how tough wolves are. yet people think a pet dog can challenge one of those.
Cayote
Why is that wolf hanging around with that Kodiak family? Is the wolf just playing or does it think it is a bear cub?
8:30 that fish just had a bad day
Do you worr about bears approaching you from behind?
How to drink milk is also bold.
They know where to get food n clean water.
Wrestlers in the wild
Just remember, if there's a bear behind you, there's probably a bear behind you... lol
vay ayı vay
Aren’t they a bakll of fur?
14:40 wonder what that bear is thinkin?
It's sad. The she-wolf has mouths to feed too. But I'd hate to see her kill one of the bear cubs.
That coyote is playing with fire.
Wolf, not Coyote !
Wooly Highlander I was about to say that's a big coyote
these are bigger than russian brown bears.
You should see the size of some kodiak island bears! By the way , look at an Alaskan map this area of Katmai is directly just west across shelikof strait from the west side of Kodiak, only approx 40 miles of ocean away.
Guys, a windscreen over the mic wouldn't hurt. Professionalism.
