I eventually quit, and I found another job working at a movie theater. I didn't like the position they gave me at the theater, but, it was a job and I didn't have to deal this those monsters ever again. Eventually, I went back to school and received my degree. I hope and pray I never work with people like that again.

The sad truth is that corporate America like these types of people 😕 Upper management tend to get rid of the decent person. And when things fall apart, they realize the truth.
And some company structures encourage Dark Triad behavior. A place where I once worked had a performance review system where everyone was supposed to judge the performance of their peers. Perfect for bringing out the worst in people.
What i wish we realized is that everyone has some of these dark triad traits in them and that we learned more about the light triad traits in ourselves.

He is the assassin. 3. The Psychopath. This guy is obvious. He may or will become violent at some time. He is very aggressive and argumentative. He is the enforcer.
Good that you clearly set them apart and specially identify the Machiavellian one. Be careful of him, have a plan as you said he is the worst and probably the nicest person. It's annoying how they get their way and people don't even realize.

It's dangerous to our culture to type cast people and single out groups for shunning or punishing. Autistic people sometimes seem to have similar characteristics to your so-called "dark triad," for example. Also, you are using well established labels that are under the purview of psychiatric professionals and therapists. We can't despise or single these people out just because we don't like their non-violent behavior. Teach them, if it's so important to you; don't brand them and cast them out.
So the quote is for the dark triads. Because they are the ones who decide whome to promote or not. I bet you can never identify a dark triad. They are sharp as tack and water like who can shape to anything at anytime to become unnoticeable.
