Way back in 1974 I was working as a lineman at GYY. I Helio Courier landed for fuel one day. It was rigged up for aerial photography, specifically ground mapping. It had a huge window installed in the belly to accommodate a really huge camera, I think the film format negatives were around 12 by 12. Another interesting mod it had was they installed long exhaust extentions that ran back far enough to keep exhaust residue off of the camera window. The extensions made the it REAL quiet on takeoff.
Great to meet you at the South Prairie fly in. I was the guy with the blue Heeler picking your brain about Old Blue, which I’d love to do some more. I’m looking to upgrade from my Kitfox and I am starting to hunt for a Helio.
Beautiful instance of an H-295. I’m currently eyeing the development progress of Helio Alaska that owns the type certificate and plans to run small batch production of the airframe in the near future, but if could find a sample like Old Blue out there I’d consider that a viable alternative over a brand new plane. If you don’t mind me asking how much did you pick up Old Blue for?

I grew up around Helio's (JAARS), and this is the nicest one I've ever seen!
Many many hours of bush flying in N6481V. Fantastic aircraft! Incredible performance!
Love the panel! Classy! The new Helio logo on the yokes, nice. I love buttery slats!
I know. Need to put it on the tail!
Very nice, really like the work that has been done. My Dad owned two H- 391B's and flew them commercially through the 1960's and '70's in the Arctic
I just sold N4120D, after 31 years. It was bittersweet.
I worked at aero Pacific in Oceanside California back in the 1980s, we were helio specialists

Fantastic airplane, so clean and set up perfectly
That's one nice Helio!!
Used to fly around Peru in one of those!
I used to fly S/N 1228, OB-1000 for 25 years. She's back in the US now for over 18 years.

When is Helio Alaska expected to have any of these planes built? Any idea what that retail price will be?
how much is this plane ?
Priceless.
