    1. No one really cares about you
    2. Until you fight, you can't get anything in life
    3. Your friends make you - so if you have bad friends, you are in trouble
    4. Time is the only asset in life - if you love life, don't waste time
    5. Your 20s is the most important period of your life because you can get a lot done then for your older years

Well ... allow me to interpret the 5 truths:
1.) No one values you more than they value theirself.
2.) Success takes a 100% effort. Anything less, results in mediocrity and failure.
3.) Humans tend to "sink" to the level of those that surround them.
4.) Time can be Utilized, Sold, Invested, or wasted. Ones' emotions usually make the choice.
5.) Few people continue to "Learn" after they turn 30 yrs old. Distractions of occupations, children, and financial debt often drown out the opportunities for further meaningful learning.
Thus, whatever "groove" you settle into as you get married, buy a house, raise a family, and then retire from the rat-race ... will likely determine the level of success you will acheive in life.
Does this mean that these five rules are carved in stone?
      Not at all.
It simply means that only one in a thousand are ever able to "jump to a higher groove" once they begin "groovin'".
Oh, ... and the video forgot to mention the sixth rule of life:
Assuming that you are able to overcome the first five rules ... there is only one that remains, that threatens to extinguish your fire.
6.) All worthwhile change requires Decision, Committment, and Sacrifice to acheive it.
(Sadly, this is the truth that slams people to the ground with such force that they rarely get up, to try again.)
Which brings me to RULE #7:
7.) Winners keep getting up after EACH failed attempt to succeed. And simply WILL NOT QUIT until they succeed.
(Ultimately, it is Rule 7, that separates the losers from the winners in life.)
Please make a note of it. 😜

Totally agree with everything here! Though like to highlight 1 point about the age thing. You can still become successful in your 40s or 50s or even 60s. You’ll only realise to have regrets as to why you didn’t start in your 20s but as you age you will have become mature and stronger in the mind to tell yourself to fight it, let it go and focus for what holds in the future.

Not saying that your 20s are not of extreme Importance but statistically speaking your 50s and your sixties are actually your highest earning periods for your life. Secondly ,once again we're getting back to facts here, the number one reason for retirement is health. So if in fact you do stay healthy, you can be a high earner going way into your 70s.

The thing is MOST of us waste our 20s. Some of us even waste our 20s on working hard and getting law degrees or medical degrees, because someone we thought we respected told us we should, and then we find out at 32 that we HATE our professions and also with a truckload of school debt. This wasn't me, I wasted my 20s on chasing girls with no success. I'm super lucky because some guys spent their 20s chasing girls and had babies--poor bastards, the dads, not the babies. So, with many of us wasting our 20s, then we're all basically equal. If you have a baby or school debt, it's harder, but not impossible. Tough it out--like he said, nothing good happens in life without a fight.

Experience taught me this bitter truth very early in life and I worked hard to acquire advanced degrees in my mid twenties. @@lovingdiscernment4234 Starting early and making sacrifices really is a loving gesture. You have to love yourself and be successful or at least sow the seeds of success before you can really help others in any really significant way. I see your point that giving to charity and others, either through time, money or both, is a product of success and should be mentioned as a positive result of success in ALUX videos. The only mention I've of charity in Alux videos was negative. Stating not to give to charity because it enriches the charity administrators and professional fund raisers. I agree with Dave Ramsey's plan. Live like no one else early by being frugal so that you can live and give like no one else as you become more successful. The latter is where I am in my life and my intention is to use a substantial portion of my accumulated wealth to help others both now and when I pass away.

Except that for most people their family DOES continue to care about them after they grow up. That's why you have so many 30 year olds still living with their parents! What's needed is more parenting designed to get kids to launch someday. Parents make their kids too comfortable. It's important to have a strong family system, where you know you'll never be left to starve on the streets alone so long as anyone in your family has a home and food to eat. But there also needs to be an expectation that depending on family is a rock bottom fall back, not a way of life. And yeah, I'm talking about my family right now. I've already told them that I'll teach them everything they need to know to build their own wealth, but if they ask me for money the answer will always be "no." That's not because I don't care about them. It's because I do.

    • @princexl33840

That is the raw truth about living this life, but do you REALLY want to know what to do in this short dream we "live"? Get rid of everything you have, live as a monk, or like a monk, and be of service to whoever needs help at every turn. If you don't believe that now, go about acquiring "stuff", keep it in the back of your mind, and remember it when you are old and close to death. You will then realize the truth, but it will be too late. All the great wise one's throughout history tell us that all you can do with this life is give it away. We go from no-where to now-here, and back no-where - may I add - with no-thing.

A better substitute would be “working hard, be dedicated and motivated” to achieve your goals. And I don’t agree that nobody cares for us because there would always be people who care for us or better yet said, “ we are born independent”.

Well, it just goes to show that when someone speaks the truth ...
someone else is subsequently offended by the truth, and complains that it wasn't sugar-coated, and thus, was horribly difficult to swallow.
Have you ever been taught the proper method of saving a drowning victim?
Yeah ... you approach the thrashing victim "feet first". Seriously.
Why??? Because if they get ahold of your head, or your shoulders, or your arms, or your chest, or ... ANYTHING they can use to save theirself, they will gladly drown you, to gain a few additional breaths before drowning again.
The person that saves the drowning victim, must first get a committment of submission from the drowning person, before they can do anything to help them.
The person who KNOWS HOW TO SWIM must be the one in control. Otherwise, both die needlessly.
Likewise, those who are offended by the truth ... are those who will latch onto others and pull them below the surface, if you let them.
If they can't handled the truth ... unfortunately, it may be necessary to wait until they are unconscious, before attempting to tow them to safety.
Of course, if you are offended by this truth ... well, start at the beginning again.

A lot of people do care, and you'll likely live a happier life if you care about other people too.

jijor assad This might be a crude analogy, but, when I need to get in shape, that doesn't stop me from wanting junk food. And it doesn't make me want to exercise more. But I can desire my health more than the junk food and the comfort of my couch and choose to live a healthier lifestyle. Similarly, I will admit that there is a selfish, prideful side of me that wants to make more money and be more successful (however you define that) than my friends. This side of me is reactionary and cares about my social status. But then the rational side of me actually cares about my friends and wants them to thrive even if my accomplishments pale in comparison or they move far away and I don't get to see them very often. And, ultimately, I choose that over my self-centeredness. Those desires are where I place my intentions.
My best friend is thinking about going off to the military, and I think it might be good for him. I'd miss him a ton, but I'm encouraging him to do what he thinks is best for his future. In this tangible way, I chose to support him even though it would be inconvenient for me.
I think most people, like myself, do have that dark side of them that is out for their own interest. And I think you're right to point out that conflict. However, I think most people have the other side of them that does care. And I believe a lot of people would choose the side of virtue when given the chance. Not everybody, but certainly not nobody.

Let's be prudent & point out that-regardless what's postulated here--there's an over arching truth that trumps each of these 5 so called "truths".
    THERE ARE NO ABSOLUTES.
PERIOD! So........making broad predictions of " truths" may work in some specific cases---but, out of 7+ billion people w as many different cultures, life circumstances, nature vs nurture situations & random chance, luck not to mention fate---it's safe to assume that each person's life is an intimate experiment of one, w an incredibly complex set of changing variables that will affect any probabilities of a predicated outcome.
These broad brushed generalizations simply NEVER WORK. In principle & theory possibly ---but, in REALITY. Never.

Earl Nightingale said we have 40 good years to get it RIGHT however KFC wasn't successful until he was 65! JUST like college ANYONE can succeed at ANY age of course common sense says the sooner the BETTER. I DON'T know what happened w THIS video BUT like the rich say if it ain't broke dont fix it. U were GREAT DON'T CHANGE w misleading titles and propaganda about youth anyone can succeed at ANY age!
