- About a 2.5 hr drive from Port Hardy to the Beach. You will need a full tank of gas, food, and plenty of water. The road is very rough so make sure you have a spare tire and emergency gear. Follow the signs to Winter Harbour then watch for the 4 km sign before you get to Winter Harbour there is a turn. Follow the signs from there. The trail is only .5 of a km (not 5 km) to the beach. Leave early morning to spend the day there or camp at the beach. Have fun! These Amazon links are there for your convenience and if you order anything I will get a small commission. It all helps. Thanks,
A
Great video. I've lived on the island (and a Gulf Island) for 40 years but I've never explored the north end.

Beautiful Beach shame about all the rubbish.
Thank you for the video! Do you recall if there are any toilets (pit toilets) at the beach?
I can’t recall but I will find out for sure.
Is surfing possible
Hmmm probably possible but I'm not sure.
Yes you can surf there. Very good some days.
Not tropical at all.
Tropical-like with the light colored sand on a beautiful sunny day.
