You have a great little T Rex family there. I just bought my first little one a few weeks ago and can't wait to plant it out. As for the Tracycarpus, to be honest my Fortunei had been the best looking plant in the garden for all year round interest. I am tempted to get a Wagnerianus as the leaves are a little more robust against wind damage.

I can go for slender looking palm due to space issue,what do you think about trachycarpus f. and Princeps hybrid ?
Or any hybrid variety
If I can't decide I will go for common trachycarpus.
I also planted canariensis last summer and if has sustained heavy damage may be even dead:(
Not sure about the hybrids as I have never grown. I suppose your climate will be a big factor. I am in Leeds so need fairly tough variety. I would check out Yorkshire Kris for advice. I'm pretty sure he has grown just about every variety.

I know they are kinda common but they add such great structure, Buy as large as you can afford, As said Fortunei and Wagnerianus are best
Thanks for the videos. Seeing this, I'm never going to plant mine in full soil. I'll keep it in a pot, with a dish under it. Is there a danger of propagation via dropped seed in Western European climate?
I don't get to see that I'm colder country because seeds die before they could ripe.
It should be highly unlikely but if seed grows, it's much easier to pull it out. I would definitely grow it and not ne worried about seeds germination. Runners are nightmare!
