they are one of the most talented and genuine emo bands. my girlfriend met them when she was 15 and says they were incredibly respectful and 0% creepy (unlike some other pop punk bands at the time 👀) and they were always enthusiastic to talk to any fans that said hi.. meanwhile Mayday basically taught me how to sound good as a pop punk singer and how great emo riffs are written on the guitar.. their shit inspires me year after year. plus Jake is still like one of my first crushes ever lol..
I agree to a certain degree, but every now and they hit on that magic again, and when they do it's incredible. This album was painful - they were just grasping for whatever they could after losing Jason. On the self-titled album, they found their voice again and it turned out great. Can't wait to hear what they do next.
Whenever I hear Acoustics of my favourite band's songs I immediately gasp with excitement and listen to it and smile, I wish they didn't edit their voices in the studio, they're amazing without the fake shit. :')
