What's In Your Frame Bag?

  • I see a lot of gravel setups with frame bags. Some big, some small. I decided to show y'all what I take with me on bigger adventure rides and why, the reason I use a frame bag rather than just stuffing my pockets, and why I like the Pro Bike Gear big frame bag.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments on what y'all carry and what you think I should carry that I don't. Mention me on insta in story posts to show me your setups. I'll post some of the best ones to my story and we can start a #framebagwars!

Nice video. I am surprised how almost no one has a first aid kit or "crash kit" in their bags. I went out riding and crashed. I almost broke a few ribs and was bleeding all over. The pain from the rib contusion lasted for 2 months. I sure wished I had something to stop bleeding and most importantly a few ibuprofens to stop the swelling and pain from my rib cage. I came home and prepared a crash kit for all my ride partners.

I put my spare tube in an old larger tube that I've cut to 8 to 10 inches.. it protects and compacts the spare tube.. Happy Trails...

On my medium frame bikepacking bike, I run the Full Triangle bag. It is mostly filled with a 3 liter hydrations bag, tubes & dirty water bag. This means mounting water bottle cages on the fork legs. In the SW dry country I find a larger 2 liter gravity filter H2o system best for me. Many others do get by with the squeeze Sawer.
Tip: if racing the AZTR or any multi-day ride in the desert, have enough water to walk out in case you break the bike beyond repair.

Basically the same as what I carry but I also have a small powerbank in mine to charge any electronics that I’ve used longer than planned.

That’s a good tip with the 2032 battery. I started carrying a battery back up thing and a couple cables so I can charge my phone/light/ or bike computer if any of those die on the ride. May as well chuck in a 2032 battery Incase a sensor goes down too.

Usually a dozen eggs, my frame bag is the perfect size for a quick trip down to a road side farm stall that sells free range eggs. Though after the hassles of the bar bag today, it looks like I might use my frame bag to carry my drone.
