- In this DIY tutorial, learn how to make a simple and cute hobby horse (also known as a stick horse), or even turn it into a unicorn! These are really easy because they are made from socks. Using socks simplifies the process and makes it so that even a beginner could do this project!

If you're a horse lover, or have someone in your life who is, this is the perfect project. It is a great beginner's craft and you end up with an adorable end product. You only need a few supplies, and it can be modified to fit what you have at home. Grab some old socks (don't forget to replace them with cute, new ones!) or buy a special pair just for this project. Before you know it, you'll have a little cowgirl or cowboy on your hands!

Never had a hobby horse before but wanted one and this is a cheap and easy way to have one!hoping to find the needed tools/items for making the hobby horse of my dreams!

Since i didn't have material For U know The realistic hobby horse they make I made a sock! One with overgrown mane i love it!
I made one so far for my youngest in stead of buying a dowels I used some think sticks and took off the bark put on some mod podge on the stick and it turned out great even though the sock is red and white lol cost me nothing to make had everything I needed

I made one for my 3 year old and she loved it so much! Very cute design and easy to follow. I had a hard time with the stitching, though, it just wasn’t working out and I decided to just do the glue. I’m sure it’ll need repairing but so far so good!
Oh fun! We're glad she loved it! Yeah, the stitching get hard sometimes but hot glue works almost as well! lol We hope your 3 year old has a blast riding their horse around! :D
