    man first time ever that you don't really need to buy a rear fender eliminator because the stock ones already look good!

    • @garydevera9523
      @garydevera9523  Před 8 lety

      +2cool0 Thanks man! And I believe it serves its purpose on damp/wet roads. And not give a mud stripe to the rider following you. There are days that I wanted to remove it, just to see if it will give a cleaner look and show how big the rear tire is. :) cosmetic

      @2cool0 Před 8 lety

      Gary Devera haha yeah it's kind of a good and bad thing. it does make it look nice but i still wish it was up under the tail. like both ways would look good. both has it's pros and cons

    • @lorenzomagazzeni5425
      @lorenzomagazzeni5425 Před 6 lety

      Why would you want to "eliminate" the rear fender ? I just had the rear fender - that has a function I guess- and had it painted red.

      No problem. I'm getting rid of my Busa soon & I'll be looking at getting into another bike in a couple years. I want something with a slightly more upright riding position. How is the riding position on this one? Also, I'm about 6'4, would this bike be too small?

    • @garydevera9523
      @garydevera9523  Před 9 lety

      +maurice horton It's more upright for sure. That said, less fatigue on your back/arms compared to a sport bike. :) I own a cbr600rr before I got this one. You might want to replace the seat with a taller one. These bikes let you sit "in" the bike and not the traditional "on" the bike. Works for me as I have a short inseam. But overall, it's a super fun machine! Sport mode is unbelievably crazy! :) Good luck on your next purchase :)

    Thanks for that. I have just fitted the fronts. And Ducati only had one set in stock they told me they are not dedicated to front and rear ? I love this bike, i am not ready for it yet though since i am a newbie. A lot of people hate on ducati and say they are not reliable and they are pretty boy crap and whatever just because they ride a japanese bike i believe (no hate from me on the japanese bikes). I do not see an aprilia, bmw, ktm etc rider saying that though!!!!! lol. How has the bike been for you anyhow, in terms of reliability and such?

      @garydevera9523  Před 8 lety +1

      +squirtmph Hi buddy! Thanks! I'm about 5'5 1/2" Best thing about this bike is you can get a Ducati Lowered Seat (40mm/20mm) and will make the bike lower without sacrificing the handling! Also, you can adjust the stock seat height by an inch. Seat height is not a problem for the monster 1200/s. :) Hope that helps!

      +Fuz Goes Riding It's been awesome! Looks like this bike was made for shorter guys (adjustable seat) with the default seat that came with it. Bike looks big but once you ride it, you'll notice that it's lighter that you'd expect. Torque wise, you won't get wrong on this. Very powerful. I love the suspension on this. :) hope that helps!

    • @BryceAWD
      @BryceAWD Před 8 lety +1

      +Gary Devera Its not for wind. If it were the opposite mirror would be reverse threaded. Its a safety feature so if the mirror catches on somthing it dosent rip the brake lever off and leave you without front brakes.

    Can we install this slip on by ourself? And I have heard about the upmap unlock. Should we have to do the upmap unlock at the same time as well? What's the difference between upmap lock and unlock ? Thx

      Monster 1200s the bike camw with the upmap dds map key and the dealer installed it. Not actually street legal. For slip ons, no need to upmap I think!
