I really love how in the other KH games, the protagonists befriend the heroes and main characters of Disney movies, but in Birth by Sleep they gave us a protagonist who bonds with the villains. Terra was a really cool addition to the KH cast
Baby Sora and Riku are so precious 😭❤️ So in that scene with Terra bequeathing the keyblade to Riku, that confirms that in KH1 Riku was supposed to be the one to inherit the keyblade. That's how he could take it from Sora in Hollow Bastion. But since Riku opened himself up to darkness in the beginning of the game, the keyblade was passed to Sora. This game is where the lore gets really deep and incredibly interesting!

Zack was put into Birth by Sleep because Crisis Core is also a prequel game! Laguna from FF VIII was also considered, but I think they could only pick one or the other and decided on Zack. From what I remember reading, Laguna would have been the host of the Mirage Arena.

The look on your face when you saw baby Sora and Riki! That was everybody’s reaction when they saw them, it was such an amazing moment. And the kids who played them were pretty good too! Young Sora is voiced by Luke Manriquez who played in a lot of kid movies in the early 2000’s. And young Riku is voiced by Ty Panitz, who also played in alot of movies , such as how to eat fried worms ( which was so freaking weird!).
So bloody adorable I could screeeeeam!! 🥹🥹
In case it hasn't been mentioned yet there is an epilogue called the final episode unlocked by completing each characters stories and collecting all xehanort reports. Terra has one that is earned by completing the sinister sentinel challenge in the mirage arena. If you have already beaten Terras story line before seeing this you would need to load terras save and beat his final boss again. You can also unlock a secret episode by beating the final episode and defeating 9999 unversed across the 3 character stories along with getting 140 points in each characters sticker book.
Noticed whenever Terra enters a world, he’s caught in manipulative misunderstood situations.

Touching the Keyblade as it's being held is all it takes for the ceremony; Terra's chant was something he made up for gravitas.
People joke that Captain Jack is now a Keyblade Wielder, but the Keyblade teleported back to Sora like it did with Leon. Riku showed that it won't teleport if you are worthy.
Remember what I said about the game turning you around? The first game's End of the World had an area combining elements of the three Princesses' Worlds this game starts with.
There was another area called Prison of the Worlds, with portals sending you to areas you previously explored. The Mirage Arena's teleporter functions the same way, and the area features its own prisoner.
Radiant Garden and Destiny Island are nearby, representing how they will be the first/last Worlds taken by darkness.
This is all to the left of Olympus. The map has turned the one from the first game around.
Neverland seems to break this by still being on the right, except we never actually saw Neverland in the first game. Just as Wonderland is not Alice's original World (ironically also London), London is not Peter's World.
1:51 the characters all have multiple finishing attacks that they can learn , including an ultimate finisher
When you d-link with a mastered ven and aqua you get a watered down preview of what their ultimate finish attack will be like.
For example… d-linking to Terra will cause the player ven or aqua, to guide ground spikes to attack the enemy from below, but grinding Terra’s ultimate finisher will cause him to guide meteors, same interface, to attack enemies from above.
It’s a little unclear, but at 1:06:58, Terra performed what’s known as the “Bequeathing Ceremony”. This ceremony allows Keyblade Masters, or those skilled and strong enough to be a Keyblade Master, to bestow the ability to wield Keyblades upon those they deem worthy.
Very well done having a balance of spells and attacks to your command deck. You go with what works for you to use all of your special attacks and Firestorm, Thunderstrike, Critical Impact etc. You are nearing the end of Terra’s journey so you may want to invest some time with upgrades such as Leaf Bracer, Last Chance, MP Haste, HP bar etc. That little ceremony Terra was doing with Riku was all to pass the Keyblade to him called the Bequeathing. He was meant to inherit the Keyblade not Sora. Sora was just in the right place at the right time during the events of KH 1.
Well jade now you know how riku earn the power to wield the keyblade 😁🔑 what terra said to riku was the ceremony to bequeath the keyblade.
