I don't know much about Michael Lofton, but he seems like an ardent pope-splainer, always against Traditional Catholicism and always excusing our current pontiff. I don't like his delivery. Am I wrong about him? 🤔
Avoid Lofton, comparing Lofton with Marshal, resist the temptation to do relative thinking... Lofton is to be avoided, he is like de Chardin, he will just confuse you in a 3 hour bloviating video. Lofton is a Bergoglio/Fernandez fan boy who will excuse and defend anything. Do not be so impartial, call a spade a spade.
The African Church has been called the Cradle of the Faith. It has been said that the Faith will be saved, preserved by the Church in Africa. Look at the Blood of the Martyrs being spilled there. And yet the Faith thrives. Look at the courage it takes to be Catholic, let alone a priest! Who of us can say, truthfully (rather than boastfully, or even hopefully), that we would have the same courageous Faith? Cardinal Sarah is a living Saint.
Thank you for this video. As an aside, we have had many African priests in my American parishes over the years, and they were all great. I wish Pope Francis would spare a moment in his busy schedule to highlight the continuing massacre of Catholics in Nigeria.
I totally understand your reaction to the Latin Mass. The silence, the beauty, the reverence and the sublimity of each Mass is almost palpable. The presence of God is, to me, undeniable. All communicated to the congregation through the actions of the priest. Very beautiful❤
This might just be Francis's attempt to ensure that Cardinal Sarah doesn't succeed him in the coming conclave. Trash him and make him damaged goods in the eyes of the other Cardinals.

Most african priests are most excellent. Im glad theres 2 in my parish in Portugal. They are a wonderful blessing. The respect, the reverence and love with which they celebrate the Mass. We have the triple of people attending Mass now even on week days

The pope is becoming increasingly bitter. I think he's disappointed that he's not loved and respected like JPII or Benedict VI.
If Lofton has never seen this side of Francis before , it can only be due to willfull blindness or obstinate popalatry. Or both.

I would not pay Lofton's opinions any mind, or just with large grains of salt. He's all over the map too much to take seriously.
When I read Cardinal Sarah, it is blatantly obvious to me that His Eminence is a man of prayer.
