I love your builds, I’m using your techniques to make a ancient Roman city
That is awesome, I was thinking of making a colosseum at some point. I’d love to see what you build. 😀
I know I say it with each video, but it is great watching you do the directional builds... Think I might use this one when I get to making the bungalows at my beach resort... Keep up the great work!
Thanks, maybe you can do it like an overwater bunker system. I really liked the look of yours.
@@GrindGeek oh yeah, hadn't even thought about that... Will look into it!
I used to think I was good at this game...
We both know you are 👍
I was just thinking the same thing. This is beautiful but I feel like I need to repeat high school geometry to understand it 😂 Really love the edit and teaching style, too 🏆
@@llamaragemore trial and error than geometry. Thanks for the feedback on the editing and video. I am new at this so it’s good to know it makes sense.
Truly amazing
Thanks, I’m glad you like it.
Definitely using your creator code with the next purchase.
Thanks, you’re a legend!
Thank you so much, it looks so good
You’re welcome, have fun building it. 👍
I love this imaginative building with the angles. I'm going to have to do something similar at my shore base
This was a fun build and it looks so good in my shore village. I’m sure you will enjoy it. 👍
This is awesome. Thank you!
You're very welcome!
Wow! This is so cool! I will be definitely doing this. Thank you for another great tutorial GG 👌👌👌
My pleasure 😊 Love to see what you come up with.
This is so good, i love your builds and this was very helpful to introduce me to freebuilding
Hey thanks, really glad you liked it.
so helpful again, great tutorial!
Thanks, I really appreciate that. 👍
You're doing great. Keep it up!
Cheers, thanks for the support.
love it!
Thanks 👍
so nice, beautiful
Thanks Saint, are you going to give it a try?
@@GrindGeek ofcourse i try to rebuild it
my next purchase for sure i will use your code
Awesome thank you!
Same here! This is the best lego fortnite tutorial channel
Thanks Samantha 😀
i bought the lego upgrade pass with your code
@@Playami thank you so much, 👍
Just used your creator code as a way to show appreciation for your awesome tutorials. I must of missed how to show what we create to you..when I think they are worthy of sharing of course 😂
If you don’t post to CZcams you can find me on instagram @grind.geek or on Discord @grindgeek. On Discord the Official LEGO Fortnite channel has a section for LEGO-Fortnite-art where you can tag me 😀
They look like the ones from the Chapter 2 Map!
lol, it’s been so long I don’t even remember chapter 2
Hey I think I worked it out in my head haven't fixed anything because it's all built but in the in replies I was saying i adjusted it down half a Lego and because the brunch was above the main jetty half a Lego in high but just thinking about that and something you said was must be something to do with real world alignment well I reckon it could be the first step putting down the foundation for the dynamic to sit on I bet it's not on 0 level I bet it's dug if the ground half a Lego . I'll let yah know 👍🏽
That is probably it, I usually set a base out of foundation pieces in the world direction before I use a dynamic foundation to change direction, that way the height is the same as the world.
@@GrindGeek Yerh me to but I was rushing it so I selected the big blocks for foundation and just throw it on the ground running then snapped off it and I reckon the first brick dug in slightly 👍🏽
you should setup a discord so we can share our builds in your community
I was thinking of that but I look at Kaz’s discord and it’s not active so I’m sure I would struggle to keep a community going. I am on the LEGO Craftopia discord and with so many creators there it is very active. They have a build-showoff channel for people to post pics of their builds.
I kinda now have regrets not getting the beach set. 😩
It is probably my favourite set but I am really liking the farm one a lot. I’m sure it will be back in the item shop.
Is it possible to also put decorations in a non-directional way? Can you nudge them away from a n.d. support like building pieces? A round table with a set of chairs that are placed in a circle formation around it, for example..
So that is a depends. Once you have put something on the ground that sets the snap direction for that object and anything you want to attach to it needs to be in the same x, y, z axis but can be mirrored or perpendicular. If you are placing multiple objects directly to the ground and not another object then you can have as many directions as you like as long as they don’t get in each other’s way. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the fast response! 😊 I'll play around with it a bit, maybe it is possible to nudge the decoration under a n.d. piece so the decoration just fits in the gap between the n.d. piece and the floor... But i guess the chances are low for this to work.
Oh.. and I forgot: great video! 👍
@@stephaniesidonas long as they aren’t colliding you should be able to make it work. Let me know if you need some help.
Use small floor pieces to snap the item to it then destroy the floor pieces it seems easier to put them at different angles
I'd like to say thanks i done this build 3 mths ago and worked brilliantly. But today i tried to build it in a different world and it won't let you i'm not sure if you realise this or if i'm wrong can you confirm this, has epic patched it? Saddiests if they have. You have any ideas to solve this?
(It won't let you put the path that branches off the main jetty over the top of the arches ) Thanks
Hey, I just double checked in my world and everything is working fine. Most likely you have a small miss alignment which is either causing the angled piece to clash with the world direction piece or your angled section doesn’t have an i department anchor to the ground. I suggest trying it over to see if you can make it work and if not let me know and I can drop into your world and give you a hand. 🖐️
@@GrindGeek thank you very much I'll try messing with it again. Thanks for responding ✌🏽👍🏽
(The first time it let me I noticed it was floating above the arch half the thickness of a piece.
So I even tried adjusting it half a Lego piece lower than the main jetty then lowering the main jetty and still wouldn't let me, but I'll check it again tonight. )
Hey grind geek how do you build on uneven ground
Hey, it depends on what kind of ground, if just a slope or hill the I usually set angles on a flat area close by and move over but if it’s a cliff then I place foundations out of the cliff to make a flat area and then set direction from there.
How do you make it look so easy??🤔
lol, my first project was a replica of stone henge which had a ton of directions so I got a lot of practice.
Bra so im not good at the game sorry I’ll delete it😭🙏🏽
No worries, everyone has their game style. Glad you gave it a try. 👍
