Though, I still occasionally listen to young child singers, and I was listening to a lot of those on CZcams as well in 2013. So I guess you could say it's a "flashback" either way? :)
Back then, there wasn't very many different styles of beatbox, because dupstep and whatnot wasn't nearly as big as it is today. But, rahzel was amazing for his time. And hes forever the BeatBox GodFather.

I'd have to agree...hearing the same effects does get old...even the same beat/chorus to "if your mother only knew." I love Rahzel and he got me interested in beatboxing, and althought I love old school, it's just old to hear the same thing over & over...would love to see him come up with new material.

Razel is the Jimi Hendrix of beatbox, he took the artform to a new level and paved the way for everyone who came after him. There are hundreds, if not thousands of beatboxers now who make Razel look like a total amateur but, they wouldn't exist if he hadn't provided that jumping off point. Fuck the haters. Even if he's crappy by todays standards, he is the king of beatboxing and nothing and no one can dethrone him.

On that same token, people who sit there reppin' Rahzel like he's still the best beatboxer in the world and that no one has taken his revolutions and refined them further... are just as annoying. People have to accept that future generations will do what we do, but better. Respect for the legends, respect for the talented young guns. Gotta give it all around.
