That first piece is so wild to me. The different rhythms that the gender and the calung have at one point with no drummer to conduct just blows my mind. I played with a college group and professionally in the states for many years as well as in Bali and these guys are some of the best of the best. They really are in a class by themselves.

Thank you very much. That was new piece compose by Dewa Rai. The idea about the nest of the ant. A lot material in many way to become one. There the gender player to conduct in this piece. I appreciate you comment.

I saw you guys play in Los Angeles a long time ago. I played with Pak Wenten’s group at cal arts. I will never forget one of the pieces you guys did. It was a kreasi baru about a cock fight and was awesome. Great work!!! Best wishes.
