I don’t know what my problem is with shoes - when I pick them up, they sell quickly. They are easy to photograph. They get a decent return. I just HATE messing with them.😂
I have the exact same issue. They do sell well. I just know myself and the shoes will sit in a bin waiting to be cleaned because I put it off. I am find cleaning handbags. It's weird right?

I started my channel when I was going through my divorce and I felt I needed to be brave and put myself out there more. It really helped me during such a painful time. Here in Dallas, we have the same prices. 9.99 for dresses, 7.99 for tops, etc. It's crazy.
That is too high. If your GW has 50% off colored tag, you might do better because then you can swoop in and get the overpriced stuff on 1/2 off day. It benefits GW too in order to clear out. My GW has zero sales of any kind. So I don't shop there. Only the bins. I hope your prices come down. Thanks! xo quenby
I bought a great striped cotton dress the other day with a union made label. My grandma used to work as a seamstress for the union and it always makes me think that she could have made whatever garment I find. Probably not, but it always makes me think of her anyway and appreciate the work. Also, I found two friends at separate times at a local thrift and decided we all need to get together. We've been meeting every two weeks for the last three or four months. It's so fun to have reseller friends!! Loved your haul!

I'm in central Cali and our prices are the same and Goodwill has no sales either and no returns. At least you have an outlet close to you. We have none. I have to go 3 hours north or south to get to one lol. So I usually go to the local thrift stores more than I do Goodwill or salvation army. Love your videos and maybe I will meet you one day at the bins! Thanks for so much info!
Yes, I totally agree and use the same strategy. I stopped going to GW about a year ago. I have a series here on youtube where I looked for non-goodwill stores and found much cheaper church stores. Finally my bins reopened. It was closed for 3 years so it's still new to me to be able to go back there. I am so grateful!! I believe Georges Marciano label came after Guess. He is one of the creators of Guess but I believe the label with only his name came later.
Good to know. Sometimes at the bins I will take a risk on a brand so I can learn. When I loo this up, all the vintage guess denim skirts came up with the triangle logo on the back. I loved those in the 90s. I was so jealous that my friends had so many pair and I only had one. ha ahahha ha ha. ANd now it's back again.

Come up here to Sonoma County some time. My bins is so mellow. That said, I am just like you, I have to gear myself up to go. It seems like such an ordeal. Right now, all the GWs in my county are 50% off clothing. It was so pleasant to thrift at the regular GW again. But...I have sworn off them bc they are too expensive here.

Completely agree! I take my throwbacks and walk them over to the other ladies at the bins so they can sort through. I have found some of my best stuff in the throwbacks of the other ladies. I am trying to learn what everyone at the bins is looking for so I can throw them that stuff. For example, one guy likes all the Nike and Under ARmour and I don't mess with that so I can throw it to him. Bins culture right?

The AI description option on ebay is pretty cheesy but I have used it a few times just to try it out. I think your adjective “flowery” is perfect. I prefer to use very short and sweet descriptions that get to the point. That’s how I prefer it when I’m shopping too! If you do choose to try it be aware that it makes mistakes sometimes so you have spend even more time proofreading!
I know your bins are pricey but they look nice! The bins in my area are very competitive and I would never wear open toe shoes there because of glass, etc. I love the thrill of the hunt and the value!

omg i was loling at your description of the AI descriptions... it's true they're so extra... i tried it too and was like what the hell is this lol. i cant imagine it being useful, it's not like it's taking the measurements for us
So funny right? My hope is that ebay makes changes to the AI. Ebay must see that most people are not using it. Maybe they will come up with a simple language option? I have no idea but as it is not is not very useful.

I found a vintage Dolce & Gabanna purse at the bins last time, it's gorgeous. I listed it for $199 (it's a mini bag) and someone offered me $85 immediately . I wonder if I should have taken that offer.......
I have been using AI on eBay lol, but I modifying the description. I like cause it gives me description words. It now know some of my wording and so it sounds more like me.
Oh good I think you might be the 1st person who has told me they are using them. I would love it if the AI started learning some of my words and adjusting the description to use my wording, THAT would be helpful. Good point. Why don't customers read? My most common message on ebay is "what are the measurements?" and I have them in the photos and in the description section!
Another reseller “Cayley Elaine” is in Ohio and she is a great channel to learn what brands to look for and how to get your ASP
higher. She always says to check comps. Also another Californium reseller’s channel is Common Tags. You might be close to her. Love your videos. I am trying to learn as much as I can about the reselling world as I have a lot of things to start listing.

I’m in TN. My average cost of goods at thrift stores is $9.99. Items are priced up by brand so oftentimes COGs is $11.99. They have a boutique section where Patagonia is priced at $25 for example. It’s ridiculous!
I agree Amy. Ridiculous! My prices are high like that too so I don't shop at GW unless it's the bins. So if you have pay $10 COG what are you trying to sell it for? I would think you have to find things that sell for $30+ to make it worth it....

Thank you for sharing this with us. When I posted about AI on ebay on instagram, many people felt like you do, one women was a writer and was concerned about AI taking her job. I have not done enough research on it, but I think we don't even know all the ways it will change society yet.
