I loved, loved this competition it was fantastic, I felt like I was there in the North Stand. A great job by all the other bands looking forward to going home for Carnival in the future. Trnis have so much talent I'm always proud of you my fellow citizens. BP Renegades rendition of DNA had me jumping up and down waving my flag and wine -ing " No place like home" one of my favourite songs of 2024 and possible Road March.

This competition was an excellent one, but in my opinion it should not of been any tie. The bands that tie should have played against each other and the best sounding steelpan side wins.

Bp Renegades is definitely on another level musically thanks to the genius of Duvonne Stewart. I had Renegades as the clear winner with no tie. Sonically, their overall tone was the most defined and balanced of all the bands. More importantly was the complexity and depth of Stewart's musical arrangement. He has taken the Great "Jit Samaroo Renegades" and made them into an even Greater "Duvonne Stewart Renegades". I expect him to dominate the Panorama competitions for at least the next 10-15 years. Trinidad All Stars dramatic performance was a crowd pleaser but it wasn't as musically complex as renegades. Leon Edwards provided his usual lead pan gymnastics with extensive jerky chromatic phrasings that was audibly pleasing but not impressive to a Master Music Theorist.

I truly think this competition is all about band placement of choice due to politics / biasness and not a musical competition based on rhythmic and harmonic development / expansions... for fairness to be achieve the judges should be music orchestrators / educators from outside of T&T..
@zazak I totally agree.... and the pantrinbago president all but outright admitted the same in her claim that she is giving the other bands monies donated by BPTT for them to try to beat renegades, and that is not right...... so if the other bands want to receive donations from the national body for pan, and use it to beat renegades in the competition, that money should not come from bptt... so once money coming from bptt, renegades have to win... in her simpleton mind that's how it works!

Great finals, all bands brought their A game, thanks and congratulations to all bands. From a musical standpoint, Renegades are the winners but All Stars brought the excitement and performance.

Now this, to all whose comments suggest disagreement with the judges decisions...You are quite entitled to your feelings, and you are entitled to them, but , Pan Trinbago asked 5 "qualified musicians" to use prescribed criteria to award points to bands performing before them, highest and lowest are struck off to help remove possible bias, and an aggregate is used to determine the winner..Now , you is not no judge, you mus be eh even able to understan d criteria for pts., You qualified in music, eh? Buh u jus bumpin yuh gum all ova d place bout who shudda win. Like u now start to go Rama or wat? U wasn no judge an ah sure u eh goin an apply to Pan Trinbago to b no judge nex yr, ent? Som ah allyuh go en up in St Anns if yuh keep up every yr wit dis, ah go to say B.S., but dah is ur opinion..😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅

Ah wish allyuh would stop bitching about who won, and, who shuda won and all dat crazy talk. Remember all ah we is Trini, and, is *PAN before BAND* This year the calibre of pan was outta this world. The two band that tie for first deserved it. It was hard to choose between the two. Personally I like *RENEGADES*, but yuh cyah take nothing from *ALL STARS*. Two different arrangers and styles. Duvone's arrangements usually bends towards classical, musicality, more of a music festival vibe, with a lot of heart and technical movements. Smooth's arrangements usually bring the stink, the soul, and da funk. I like both: Duvone brings the Science in the music and Smooth brings da Funk-. It's like asking one to choose between Beethoven and Prince :: Chopin and James Brown. There is no comparison to be made. I love listening to *Renegades* and I"m amazed at what Duvone could get a pan to do. The same with Smooth and *AllStars* - When dat AllStars Funk hit yuh so, is basodee yuh gone oui, all yuh want to do is jump with da music. Yuh does forget yuhself, where yuh is. . . So my people, both bands deserved it on their own merit. Music is a subjective thing. So stop allyuh dotishness. . ! Besides, every single band that performed deserved to win. The performances were brilliantly awesome. This has to be one of the best and most competitive PANORAMA ever, -Much Love -Peace -Stay Blessed - All ah we is Trini and love Pan. !

That guy is a genius I watched him in a practice he really runs it like a philharmonic symphony, some ppl are just born to do it.
There was more, sweeter, and dramatic music in Renegades’ rendition of DNA. Renegades was the outright winner for me even from the Preliminaries
