This is honestly one of the best day in the life videos I've seen
Not tryna be that person but your journey brings tears to my eyes. My nephew is at the UW struggling through CS and he is about to give up. I was FG and studied biochemistry and medical a psychology. I try and tell him to not just focus on skinflok connections but to study with everyone. I remember studying OChem and I was the only Black American in the science building up at 2:30 studying . Everyone else was not raised in American culture. Mostly East Indians and Asians. I was lonely and frustrating until we began taking exams and I was getting 99 or 98 out a hundred. My study skills granted my access into these study circles. I learned so much about different cultural study and test taking techniques and made lifelong friends.

Hey, I’m applying to Columbia for the fall. Are most of the classes on campus recorded? I have autoimmune issues, and sometimes it’s hard for me to make it to class. My current university doesn’t do that so I’m stuck usually teaching things to myself and relying on tutoring to catch up if need be - they’re not really accessible at all. Thank you so much if you end up replying!

Yessss he’s one of the best professors I’ve ever had but dang his classes are also so painful 😭
@@Toemas I heard OS is required. My daughter took Jae's OS last semester. She spent 40 hours a week on his OS alone. Whatever it was, it took a huge amount of time. There's a required stats class sometimes taught by a grumpy and cranky old man from CA. He also teaches at NYU. I can't remember his name. Avoid this guy. Good luck at Columbia. it's an amazing school.
