- This is an update on the starving cat who appeared at our doorstep. The boy looked pretty bad, it was obvious he needed help so we had to do something!
We named him Sid, the starving boy spent 5 days in the vet clinic, look at him now!

We are Stoyan and Dessy from Bulgaria. We are not organization, neither a shelter, we are just an ordinary couple with a big dream. Everything we provide for the stray animals is coming from our own pockets or with the help of donations from our subscribers. We have 7 cats at home, all rescued from the streets. Bulgaria is a small country with lots of stray animals and not enough kind people to take them in. Our dream is to build a shelter where we could take care of many stray animals with the help of Dessy's mom. It is so wild how they seem to find good people sometimes!
Indeed it is. I got a cat roughly 6 years ago, but originally he was my neighbors cat who left him to fend for himself while they vacationed for an entire summer. As a result, the poor boy was dirty, matted fur, starving and skinny but didn’t seem to have parasites or diseases, so we took him in and took care of him. Because of how long the family took to come back, he never wanted to stay with them again. He’s happy with us and I know how lucky my family is to have him in our lives. He’s the sweetest (and only) boy I’ve had and I absolutely love him. He’s the perfect cat: doesn’t spray our furniture, loves hanging out with my brother and I and he loves meeting new people. He’s only a bad boy when tasty smelling food crosses his nose 😊
@@imadie1484 Good for you! 👍 I personally have a soft spot for the "naughty" ones. All three of our's are adorable. But Solomon, the orange tabby, literally sniped his sister's chance of being adopted by us.
My wife was playing with her and he just walked up to me, climbed my leg, and then laid down on my lap to sleep. He's been our adorable jerk for over 13 years now and I couldn't live without him.

@MichaelDeHaven Absolutely right, we had a stray turn up at our house and we took her in, she lived just fine with us and our other cats for several years until she passed away. She was very sad and skinny but found a happy home and we loved her dearly. Cats have a sense of who is going to help them.

They are jerks for not helping an animal that is in trouble. I never leave a helpless animal on its own. I take them home, rehabilitate them and give them to good homes, or I keep them.

I was told by veterinarians that cays are best kept indoors and neutered or spayed. They live longer and won't run into health issues as quickly. It would be great if more people would offer their home to homeless animals. I have already adopted 3! And it's the best feeling in the world.
My cat is indoor/outdoor, ten years old and healthy and happy as can be. Granted, I live in a rural area. Cats are ANIMALS, not humans. They are made to be outdoors. Restricting a cat to being indoors who is used to being outdoors is cruel. To them, its like being in prison! Chubby indoor cats are not healthy cats. They are DEPRESSED cats.

It may be better for their physical health to keep them indoors but it's still cruel in my mind. My cat loves being outdoors and cries continually if shut in. They're semi-wild animals after all.
