A reminder to Satoshi and Shinichi: you can't make everyone happy. There will always be someone who is offended. Keep reviewing food from different countries, just ignore the negative comments. ❤
The first snack - the salted pretzels are from Czech Republic actually (the company Vest is one of the biggest Czech producers of non-perishable breads). The text on the packaging is in Czech and the flag on the front is Czech :) so...not Russian. The name of the snack when translated means "little/small beers" which is why the pretzels are shaped to a form of beer glasses I suppose. Thanks for the review though, that filled gingerbread looked really good
Hello! I will provide pronunciation on some of the products.
Mango-oolong would be "Mango-ulun" and tea - "chai".
The ringed dry bisquits are called "sushki".
The gingerbread would be "pryanik", the first one you had is from Tula.
The last waffle cake is called "Mishka kosolapij". It's made by a famous brand "Krasnij Oktyabr". By the way wafers and waffles are the same word in Russian "Vafli".
I miss tarhun and REAL vodka.
Guys,I just came back from Bali where the government accepted many from both sides a place of refuge. We cannot control our leaders actions but we can respect everyone without any agenda,I have been to Russia and hope in future can travel to Ukraine 🇺🇦 Peace to all and enjoy food from around the globe without prejudice
My bf is russian and ive not tried any of these russian snacks! I will def have to ask him
Wow so many delicious foods!!! I loved this!
10:12 "This is yumyum"
Fascinating and fun video! Thank you both so much for sharing the food and cultures of all countrues! 😍
Oo this was an interesting video I'm happy the both of you have done this series for such a long time
Just want to say I love and support you both. Period.
All looks good. I like your sign and wreath in the background. Thanks Shinichi and Satoshi.
I got super excited when I noticed you posted a new food review! Thank you for sharing! I love seeing foods from different cultures.
Thank for sharing culture through food. the video was awesome. i
Hi guys loves theses kinds of videos l enjoy trying different kinds of too enjoy take care stay safe 😘😘❤️🙏💯🌈😍🤩🥰🌹
Thank you for sharing this! My husband and I live in the U.S. and he's russian. I lobe learning about their culture and the different foods they have!
Delicious in Russian it's ВКУСНО/VKUSNO
I’m so glad you clarified your beliefs. I love you guys. Russian culture without the politics is fascinating ❤
Thank you guys! Love and light to you both!❤
The round gingerbread (the one with cinnamon) looked similar to a German lebkuchen - one of my favorites 🙂
I love them when they’re filled with apricot
Cranberries may be this is lingonberry
The mug/glass shapped pretzels would be cute for a party.😊
very intresting
Love always watching your videos such kind words much mahalo for kind words snacks looks so good 👍 much blessing to you both
Interesting to see! we can find some Polish food and snacks in some supermarkets here but not Russian.
Russia tends to use the Cyrillic alphabet 🤙
Thank you so much for making this video! 😍
I really enjoyed watching. It was so interesting.
That is what I love about Egyptian black licorice tea. It smells like licorice when cooking but when you drink it, it tastes like candied oranges. I simply love it.
That actually sounds like it's good. I would have past it by with the word licorice in it but because of your comment I'm going to look this up and try it. Thanks!😊
As a russian-speaking person who is against the war, I'm glad that you included russian food. The food has nothing to do with politics. We must remember that Chinese politics are not the best either, but we do enjoy their food anyways. Be kind to each other! 🤗
Here in America we recognize that the Chinese people are not the Chinese Government. Same thought process needs to be applied to Russia. Have a wonderful day.
Okay the Snickers candy bars did not come from Russia they were first manufactured and made from Chicago and they were actually named after a horse so that is not a Russian candy bar that is American candy bar
How thoughtful of Dimitry to send so many snacks to you guys. Really enjoyed this one - a carrot and molasses turkish delight sounds like something out of my dreams!
Awesome video 🎉🎉
Hisashiburi Datta neeee?
Great food review, I've always wanted to go Russia and travel on the Trans Siberian Express, maybe one day. ❤️ your channel.
The adverb version of delicious in Russian is "Вкусно" (Vkusno).
🙋🏼♀
I never tried anything from Russia I'd try it. It's food we all gotta grub down. This comment section is really stupid. Keep doing your thing, forget the haters.
spasibo! (thanks) ❤
Бедные японцы, попробовали биг бон им еще и понравилось...
Хорошо хоть не доширак.
Aloha 🌺🥰 The packages were all so beautiful! Love chocolate (I'm allergic) Would like to taste that saimin! How wonderful to receive such wonderful gifts! Aloha 🌺🥰
Folks, keep politics out of this, this channel is about food and travel. Trying different foods is not against the law.
Neither is commenting where I live.
it is if Japan has imposed sanctions on Russian imports.
@@Roy.FockerFuck the bullshit sanctions! NO ONE SHOULD OBEY IT!
If you are offended by FOOD you are weak. They said that they don't support the war but they like to try different food from around the world. If you are a fan of this channel you know this isn't a political channel so don't bring politics into this and let them do what they enjoy. Eating food.
What a rude comment. Who are you to call someone weak? I'd like to see them stand in Moscow with a rainbow flag and see how brave they are then. It is simply wrong to promote Russian goods.
@@TurfShifter 🖕bigot
Shinichi has been very outspoken on western politics.
@@Roy.Focker really? Such as?
@@TurfShifter crying over food is weak. Have you thrown out all of your made in China products as well for the same reason? Lol.
Slava Ukraini
I would not buy nor popularize anything that comes from Russia
Although I am uncomfortable with featuring Russian food or culture in a positive light during a time of war where Russia is the clear instigator of genocide, I also understand that not everyone who is born and raised in Russia is culpable for the vile acts of its government. I will continue to support Tabieats, but I do feel disappointed in them for putting up this video.
Russophobia
Russian people are also being oppressed, harmed, arrested by their own government for speaking out against the war. Russian culture is their culture too, and writing them off is not a healthy way to cope. You admit that their leaders are the problem, yet you still blame the people. The US commits atrocities to this day, and Tabieats review American inspired food all the time. But just because American media doesn't describe the govts actions the same, because they often minimize, dehumanize, and devalue the people whose lives have been destroyed needlessly at the orders of US leaders in the name of greed... You now think Russian culture is unacceptable, but not American..? The situation in Russia and the situation in AND recent history of the US are not that different at all.
Perfectly put.
@@dapper3160 The only difference between the two is that Murica LOVES to cloak its long list of atrocities in the name of "defending democracy, freedom and human rights", "for the common good", "upholding international rules and norms" and that high-falutin, hypocritical, double standard-ridden Pharisee-style rhetorical bullshit is actually what makes Murica's actions MUCH MORE OFFENSIVE than what Russia is currently doing now! I prefer NO STANDARDS over hypocritical double standards any day of the week! 🤬🤮
This is just unbelievable ... 😔
You guys should have waited until the war is over before doing a Russia review. I will not watch this.
lmao, bless your bleeding heart. 😆
How long can the war last? This is ridiculous its food sent from a fan.
Russian? You really shouldn't be promoting anything from there. I'm in Europe and it is no joke what is going on. This was a bad call by you. Not for me.
LOL, but it's totally fine when they review Chinese things though, right?
A fan of theirs sent them snacks, that person isn't a political person. That person doesnt get any say in what they government does just like I don't get any say with what the American Government does. Just like you don't get any say what your government does. They are allowed to try different foods from around the world, and it not mean anything political at all. It's food that's all.
@@RavenLuna89 Thanks Alyson. Well said.
Yeah, you go! Signal that virtue, we all know how virtuous you are now! Amazingly virtuous! I'm going to sit down RIGHT NOW and write a book on how virtuous turdshifter is! Incredible, turdshifter, just...like...the best.
How insensible of you, shame on you. SLAVA UKRAINE!
Wow unsubscribe
Because they want to try different food from around the world and one of their fans who isnt a political person sent them snacks? News flash the Russian People are not the Russian Government. You can disagree with the war and still have friends/fans in that country.
Never go full idiot Amy
This isn't an airport, no need to announce your departure.
Bye🎉
@@RavenLuna89 the ruzzians have killed thousands of innocent Ukrainians, including children. This is more than political. Ukrainians have always thought of ruzzians as their brothers. Have some compassion
