      Thanks Fella....I am limited to the software and how large I can make it within the screen. Also since the viewers watch on phones and then also desktops and so on that keeping it kind of neutral for all device sizes is a challenge. However, I will always try to do my best my friend and if I find efforts to make questions larger I will indeed try my friend. Also thank you for taking the time to view them, hopefully, LIKE them and most importantly share them with others to use.

    Great video. I’ve been in the trade for almost two decades and finally going for my masters test in another week and a half. I’ve had my journeyman’s forever so it’s been awhile since I’ve had actual book work/class time (besides update classes). Would you happen to know where I can find calculations videos (lock rotor, x-former, etc)?

    I have a question about the calculations used in the minimum lighting load question. Is general lighting considered a non continuous load and therefore not required to only use 80% of the breakers rated capacity? If I run the same math @80% circuit loading I come up with a minimum of 5 breakers.

    Very good strategy. it would be helpful if you could give the code reference for your answers

    • @MasterTheNEC

      I did when we looked them up in the NEC and I stated the references. This is just one of many videos where I do give references on the screen.

  • @HaloWolf102
    @HaloWolf102 Před 3 lety

    Correct me if I'm wrong. But I read somewhere in the NEC that a GFCI is required in a bedroom on the first circuit. That doesn't coincide with your question that you answered at 12:41

    • @MasterTheNEC
      @MasterTheNEC  Před 3 lety +2

      You read incorrectly it seems?....Well, until the 2023 NEC comes along you indeed read incorrectly. There is no requirement for GFCI in bedrooms under 210.8 at this time. Now, if a bedroom receptacle also happens to be within 6' of a sinks top inside edge of course then GFCI would be required but that has nothing to do with the bedroom.

      Well, not really. The NEC has differences than the EU or IEC so care should be taken when considering their equivalence.

If you just wanting books then I recommend the Cengage Books by the same topics, except the Fast Trax as thats our online course.

    Paul, hello! My husband has passed the code part of the Texas masters test & has been trying to pass the math part & everytime comes so close but no dice. What if anything do you suggest? Do you have any "in person" classes that you find to be worth the money or should he invest that money into study material here at home. Please help! His name is Jeremiah & if you'd like his email or phone # please let me know where to send it so you can speak 1:1 if at all possible since his situation is a bit unique I figure that might be the easier thing to do! Thank you so much. Brandy.

      Well, all of our calculation videos are now only available for Monthly or Annual Subscribers over at our website www.ElectricalCodeAcademy.net so not really much I can point you too here on CZcams that I trust. The monthly subscription is only $9.99 a month and can be canceled at anytime so that would be one option. Our Fast Trax® Program is another option for $395.00 as well. But we do not offer any FREE options anymore so can't really help with that sorry.

    • @MasterTheNEC
      @MasterTheNEC  Před 2 lety +2

      LOL...typical California Dude...world revolves around CALI.... The reason your CALI test is closed book is because they give you a laminated handout and if you study the NEC properly you should have no issues....try to convince folks they make you MEMORIZE the NEC for CALI....total BS....love the fear mongers. Just study with the right plan...Closed or Open...no issues...PS....95% of all states license exams are open book....just FYI...;)
