Things are much more serious in NYC now than what was shown in this video. All schools, universities, bars, restaurants are closed down mandatorily for the next month. I hope everyone is staying strong during these difficult times.
-Love Jbro ❤❤
Be safe🙏
J Bro 제이브로 thank you. I hope you both stay happy and healthy!
Let's all be safe 🙏
We will pass challenge times together. I think in the good side of this virus make people became more unity and take care our health ^^
ahh all people should STAY AT HOME.. until that coronavirus pass.. in Greece everythin closed too.. days ago.. and in Italy,, if someone wants to go out of home should write papers to ask permission.. 😭😭 its so sad to happen somethin like that in 2020.. hope it wont last more than 2 months..😭
JASON WHY DO U KEEP FAST FORWARDING WHEN U BABBLE ABOUT YOUR RESEARCH? ITS INTERESTING
Jason is a tease. #talknerdy2me
sunny singlets I agree. I was interested in what he was researching with vision and where he was leading to and possibly what he planning a job In The field of vision related to...... what. ... dang fast forward!
@@JBRODUCTION is what you do mostly enjoyable and fun..don't you get bored and depressed sitting in front of a computer all day? Hope you can please respond.

If you ever feel overwhelmed towards being questioned about what to do after graduation, just remember, we're all equally confused and lost human beings who are making it up as we go. Some just hide it better than others. As we age, the urgency to hit conventional life milestones can cause anxiety, and as an encouragement message, it's okay to not know what career direction you'd want to head in later. Everyone is at their own pace :)
I gotta say this is one of the most relatable vlog that I have seen for PhD. The experiments and writing part reminded me of my own research journey. I graduated last year and can't believe that its over, but its all worth it. And yes, do a video about your research work, its interesting. Stay safe during this time and all the best for your work!!
Please stop fast forwarding through your explanations. Some of us are actually interested lol
It is a strategic plan to tease... 😂
@@JBRODUCTION LOL we want to hear/ be educated!! Let us listennnnnnn~~
@@JBRODUCTIONaren't meetings boring and depressing..and isnt research long and tedious?? Hope you can share. And why dont you go into details for real?..
So proud of You! You are so disciplined and so resprectful ...You are amazing...God Bless You...
Stick in there. You are So Strong!!! YOU'VE GOT ALOT OF YOUNG PEOPLE LOOKING UP AT YOU!!!
TY Jason..this made me feel better about everything that's been happening. I hope you stay safe and warm
I'm in my final year and haven't come up yet with the topic of my thesis and it's really frustrating because I don't have time on my side and due to the total block down in Italy, my final internship was interrupted. I hope Italy comes out stronger from this! I really enjoy you guys vids!
And good luck on your research!!
Love from Italy!!
Aww stay safe out there and gl with ur research. U can do it!
cinnamon toast crunch are my favorite as well!
I seriously respect your grind Jason. Loved watching this as I wind down from a long day!!
“Experiments don’t always go as planned” yesss the feels! I’ll be pursuing post graduate studies in the field of psychology too. I hope you have a separate video about your research too! I think it’s really interesting and relevant. Good luck with your PhD! One day at a time!
I already watched other vloggers that actually said the "coronavirus" in there vlogs and they said that those videos are demonetized. I hope it won't happen to you guys take care always. I'm always waiting for your videos. Hope to see more :)
It has been demonetized but that is the least of our concerns during these harsh times, but thank you for pointing that out! Stay strong:))
@@JBRODUCTION yeah, hope everything will be fine now.
One of the best “Day in the life..” vids I’ve seen, made so by a combination of the subject, your work, your editing skills and soothing narration, but mostly your lack of gloss - it felt like a one on one conversation with a really nice hard working guy. Congrats and best of luck going forward.
I really like this vlog. I like the way how Jason explains things and shows every piece of the building. I can tell he is a very patient and caring person
I was also like you before, I wondered what to do after I graduated. I got plans, but as time goes on, I realized life will always be full of surprises and be ready to whatever life's gonna bring. Good luck on your research! Your videos are so calming to watch. Keep it up, hoping to see more.
Awe, don't worry Jason. Your journey is yours alone. And I am rooting for you because I can see your passion in engineering. You will eventually get there. Fighting!!!💪
Finally, after long time waiting, I can see your new vlog again 😅. Loveyour video, it's never boring. Everything here is also closing down, it's like a war is going on. I wish you success with your graduation and stay healthy!! Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
I was pleasantly surprised to see that you go to CCNY! My old stomping grounds :) I was a student when that research building was being constructed. Glad to see it's being put to good use. Best of luck on your final semester!
You look tried Jason... Please take good care of yourself 🙏Be safe 👀Workout at home💪Thank you for sharing your real life with us. I like what you said "I am using my time to accelerate my life". very encouraging ☺️
I was really excited to hear your in depth analysis about how visual motion has changed 😭. Lol next time try not to fast fwd through the juicy bits 🤓.. I love LEARNING 🕵️
Me when your professor saw the camera: “Ooooh Jason’s in trouble!”
He smooth talked his way out of it..
J Bro 제이브로 Speech 💯
Your video made me reminded my uni life. As a oversea student that studied at sg, my surrounding people used to ask me same question too. Just keep doing the thing you are doing right now. Trust me, you will find your next target.
Omg the way you commute gives me a panic attack. Anw, your hard work is indeed inspirational, especially in the midst of the outbreak!
Before watching this, I was still considering whether or not to pursue with my phd. Now I know that I should. Thanks, Jason. Appreciate of you could vlog more on your phd journey.
Omg Jason choosing his food when he is on a diet is literally me. On another note, I definitely hope that the situation gets better in NYC and all around the rest of the world. Like John mentioned it has brought some real ugly things to light but there have been definitely some heartwarming ones as well. Definitely wishing everyone to stay safe and healthy
It is very motivating watching a PhD fellow working so hard!
Holy crap! You work at my alma mater 🤟🏽 I’m still working there in the Marshak building. So cool to see a vlogger who knows the CCNY struggles!
This whole thing is crazy. And I definitely hope people are not treating you different. Stay safe and healthy ❤️❤️❤️
A brilliant mind is always awe-inspiring and attractive. Its amazing to see you at work, to have a peek of how your mind works. Take care there in NYC. 😍
Same, as a PhD student at the same level, I understand what we are experiencing. But things are much better in Ottawa. Stay safe.
Thanks for your video. I am in my sixth year of my PhD study, and this is so relatable. This is my final semester and the virus is hitting hard. Good luck on your research and stay safe.
I usually never comment, but had to say that I really enjoyed this video! I felt a lot of peace and comfort when you talked about you're not sure what you want to do even though you've been in school for so long. I'm a first year pharmacy student and I'm still trying to figure what I want to do after I finish pharmacy school! Hope you're safe out there and good luck with your thesis! :")
Thanks for this new video. I have an inspiration to be more hardworking for the better future 🤩
Hope you guys are staying safe! Yes, I'm late to the party but much love from Trinidad & Tobago!! This channel is getting me through our third lockdown.
All the best for your PhD! Keep fighting on, I know it can be tough but you gotta keep believing in yourself!!!
Go team research!
Thank you!
Love your video, I feel so related ㅠㅠ.화이팅!!! I hope the situation will be better soon. In here the research pace is kinda slowing down and my school held online class till the end of this month.
your research is quite cool! keep up the good work and stay safe!!
Good point you made about collaboration being missed in science field! I'm a kindergarten teacher in ATL and when engaging children in STEM research, collaboration and teamwork is something that we focus on to lead in better results and innovative critical thinking 🤗 keep safe and hang in there!
I'm just glad y'all are doing okay! Just keep staying safe 🙏🏻💙
Yee stay safe!
Hello, good day Doctors, I'm new here and I'm thankful that Ive watched some of your vlog, I love the content, it has a lot of info. Hope to see and watch more, God Bless and take care.
Very interesting, thank you for sharing your day with us. You're an expert on that skateboard 😁
Thanks for sharing your day! It is comforting to know what other PhD students go through. You did not have to fast forward through your research explanation, though! I hope you explain it, even if its your 5 minute elevator pitch version in another video. Please and thank you! Good luck and God bless!
Didnt want to throw off all the non phd folks but good suggestion!
I’ve been watching your videos and I didn’t know you’re yang gang!!! I love you 10x more now. 😍
You are the best! Keep fighting on~
Owww I love science...I am 19 this year.😍 I also want to pursue my study until phD...you motivated me..❤
The whole world is mess right now 🤦♀️ i'm a nurse in Germany, and to be honest i'm scared to go to work every day but i have to. So many things are going on right now,and for all medical stuff at this moment every day is getting more stressful and tiring. And what scares me the most is the fact that there are still people outside who don't take this situation seriously. Hope this all ends soon 😫
People are really working hard and I'm here jouncing...Nice one. #staysafe everyone
Its feel great to see that Lucas Parra is your PhD advisor....I read most of his articles on intersubject correlation
While watching the part on your research i was so much amazed like wow whata brain you've got😅🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for sharing. I am a CS PhD student at Columbia university, so not far from your place. I lived at Ktown earlier this year too. I like ur guys videos and I have similar interests of fitness, vision, fashion, etc..... it’s good to see people with similar background!
.... “instant gratification”. That’s what I’m doing watching your videos 😥 thanks for reminding me.
Except when watching jbro* haha
Wow I truly admire your hard work and dedication 💕
21:06 #yanggang !! Don’t know how I ended up here, but I live in the neighborhood. Walk through the campus everyday. Thanks for the virtual tour. Hope you get to graduate.
Take a bunch of care future Dr. Jason!
And here I am wondering if I will pass my exams of the first semester in biomedical engineering. It's so inspiring to watch your videos, thank you! Greetings from Vienna 🇦🇹😄
i'm a 2nd year BME and i'm still trying to finish out if i want to go into industry or like go to graduate school so this was actually insightful
You guys are the MOST relevant channel right now.
what you do in your research that's really cool!
Thanks for the tour!!! The vlog has done its purpose!!! hehehe good content!!!
Love this video. This is exactly my life as a PhD student. I always stay late in my office and the late night study is very enjoyable. Unfortunately due to the whole virus thing I have to learn how to study at home. And you are so right PhD students don’t have many friends haha - we are kinda in this academia isolation already.
Good data can sense urgency :P experiments always like to fail when you really need them to work. Good luck with future experiments, and I will echo what others have said already. Your research sounds cool, and we would love to learn more about it.
Cafeteria Mukbang plzzzzzz 🥰 enjoyed this! I loved seeing you just skate your way through work, it looked so peaceful 🙈 thank you for sharing this video! 💖
I am 23 and do not know what i want to do for a living, like something i am motivated by.
Totally normal! Just keep working hard in whatever you do!
Really good content man. Both J Bros are do their thing. Keep it up guys. J Bros for sho! 🤝🏿😎 And wishing everyone good health.
Thanks joel:) you the best!
you going back and forth with getting the cereal was hilarious but so relatable
Yep.. our PI mandated we stay home haha...
Gotta say CCNY campus is really impressive. Been to the ASRC once or twice before and it never cease to amaze !
You will always be a wise man. you can do that bro. Enjoy the strugle life.
Stay save jason bro.
Ahhh, thanks for mentioning the life of grad students. This video reminds me of my graduate assistantship days. It wasn't much, but it was certainly enough to get by. Wish there were more graduate student youtubers like you :) Good luck, soon to be Dr Jason. Regards, Dr. P :)
Representing the struggling grad students! And thank you:)
It's interesting to show the life of a PhD student. At least I know what I'm getting myself into, lol. It seems like a lonely road but you said it can be a colloborative one too. Just applied for a PhD scholarship recently and with the current health situation and also the partial lockdown in Malaysia, I'm not sure about my future too. Anyway thanks for sharing your experience with us. Hope to hear you graduate one day. Good luck!
Stay safe! Life's pretty much going on as per normal here in SG. Just gotta take extra precaution on personal hygiene and practice social distancing. Everything's gonna be alright!
Yee I hope so:)
I got a PhD in biomedical research too. Totally feel for you when you said you really want to graduate. I don't know about you, but all my recruitment of subjects had been on hold. No recruitment means no data means no progress. It's really frustrating...just hope this can be over soon. I sincerely hope you can graduate on time. 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Omg you work so hard!! You'll get your Phd very soon. Cheers!!
I live in Germany where it’s pretty bad right now (We have now more cases than Korea..), however, I’ll stay home, and your video came up in my recommendations. Please stay safe and healthy there!
열심히 사시는 모습 보기 좋아요.^^힘든 상황이시겠지만 응원합니다.
ASRC!! I was there for my campus visit for first year PhD. This cafe is awesome!!
Yum! I love bfast foods for any meal but I got serious cravings when I saw you eating the cheerios
No but seriously we're in the same boat as far as school is involved. My funds ran out this semester. I want to finish my research this semester because I HAVE to graduate in December. I have no choice. So I guess despite the epidemic, we still out here collecting data. Big ups to you man👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Woah yeah lol def not a good time to be a scientist right now. All institutions are closing the labs
I live in Vancouver and now it's getting serious in here too.. so worried about everything. stay healthy everyone
We are all in this together. Take care out there:)
City College!! My alma matter! Nice video, best of luck with your research.
its nice to see how you do your research while being in a state of worrying because of the virus. im really amazed how u tell your story letting us see what and how u do ur experiments , creating programs to simulate, etc. arrrrghhh totally relate. im a graduate of Electronics and Communications Engineering in the Philippines currently studying in preparation to be board certified. i understand how really hard it is and I really salute you!!!! Thank you for being my inspiration to move forward, to keep going no matter what lies ahead 😊
Goodluck!! looking forward to the news to come. take care of yourself. always wear mask and wash your hands properly 🙂
From the Philiippines ❤️️
Aww thanks for the kind words and ur story;) stay strong out there and god bless!
J Bro 제이브로 you’re most welcome! thank you too
Best one so far. ✔️ Brain, brawn and soul. 👍
It's best to wear masks whenever you guys hanging outside! Every video out now means that you guys are safe and sound, which I'm looking forward too! Stay safe and healthy!
Agreed. Things are getting more serious every moment. Stay safe:)
Please remember only certain type of mask will prevent you getting thr virus and those masks are desperately needed for first responders and medical personnel. Unless you're sick those cloth type mask will do little to.prevent you from getting the virus. Use those masks only if you have symptoms. Best way to stay safe is good hygiene, wash your hands and do not touch your face.
It was a nice vid for real ... and hang in there bro plus stay safe
Nicest sentence for today ( use your time to accelerate your life - Jason ) it's when a man can speak wise
Yes! 🏎
I was getting interested on your research but sadly it was fast forwarded 🧐 I also enjoyed another good demo on brushing & Mr. Johns image 😁
ey fellow github and matlab user 🙌🏻 all the best for your final year and i really hope you get to graduate by the end of this year!!
I’m a PhD Student in Neuroscience studying targeted plasticity therapy. Watching your videos is comforting because it’s so relatable. The daily grind: lit review, writing, coding, advisor feedback, etc. Keep up the great work and please posting great CZcams content. If I see you at SfN (Society for Neuroscience) one day, I’ll be sure to visit your poster. :)
The editing of some parts got me feeling like I’m watching the Purge
Just remembering my research days with auditory and visual equipment similar to yours, I know how hard it is to find subjects. But I’m in the NYC area if you ever need test subjects. I can ask my friends and coworkers for Mount Sinai to help out.
Take care brother. I wish to be in biomedical engineering after this. Going to work on it like how you're putting ur utmost effort in it 🔥
Thank u and go for it:)
Yes I agreed bro live to the fullest every day life is too short
Thanks for share your day . Be safe always . Hugs and blessings dear😘❤️
I used to live at the corner of 34th and Dyer (left 2018 for Chicago) and our photo studio was at 31st and 10th so my world was usually just those few blocks. Sometimes up to Brooklyn Fare. My kitchen windows looked out towards your building. Such a small world.
Very much appreciated this vblog.
Going home at 1am and using the subway station at that time…you are brave.
Such a long journey for you!
aww must be hard to work long hours esp when things don't go as expected! hard work will pay off & fighting! Mad respect for people doing research - after writing my master's thesis I told myself research is not for me haha
Hope both of you and your families & friends stay safe and healthy!!! I enjoyed your video a lot Jason & pls talk more about ur research n plans after grad!!! Even if it’s just some self reflection hahahah would like to hear that too! & mukbangs too :))
It’s gonna be a longggg battle w the virus like a marathon but pls stay safe!!
Aww thanks:) will do and stay tuned!
And stay safe
I’m tired just from watching you go all day... and night! I hope you get to rest a bit 😴
Haha I feel u exhausting to watch this lol
Omg, i'm only an undergrad, but i also used the same eyetracking software and setup for my internship last summer! and yes, i was also tasked to clean and wash the eeg cap by my postdoc too haha
fast forward to this year and my current research project is also suspended because of covid-19 and my lab is being temporarily closed because of the lockdown... stay safe and please take care there in the US
Hello how are you going with life and ur studies . Best of luck in ur research it's really interesting I like it . I hope you graduate soon work hard and stay positive
