    Scaffold boards generally come in 5ft, 8ft, 10ft and 13ft lengths, but I like what you have done in buying 13ft boards then that way you can cut to suit what length you require, and the boards will last at lot longer from a scaffold company than the sawn timber ones from garden centres. A good informative video, 👍

      Around here all the scaffolders tend to use 13 or 5’ boards so normally some spare old ones to be had.
      As you say, they last longer than normal, thinner, softwood timber.

    I am using gravel boards. That do the same job just as good

      Gravel boards are a great option as they are pressure treated, so last well under damp conditions.
      If I hadn’t found these cheap second hand scaffold boards then I would have used the same as you.
