I know. I put a few trigger warnings before the vid started, but it would mean a lot to me if this video reaches its right audience. Not only women, but everyone.
Feminism is an incredible word. Such a polemical one, but nevertheless incredible. It was too short for me to explore all of its meanings, so I focused my work on street harassement and rape. I’ve never been raped, so as a lot of women, I know I’m a lucky one. Because it never depends on anything else than your gender.
However I’m used to be yelled at on the streets. To watch out for any group of men walking around me. To get scared at night that someone hurt me. To get ready while thinking of the meaning of my clothes, my makeup, my hairstyle : is it too much ? Does it invite a man to touch me ?
I would never have enough words to describe how hard it is to live in an inequal world. For men and women. Especially women, we can’t deny that. That’s why we have an international women’s day.
Take care. If you want to debate in comments, it’s an open space for it as long as it’s done into a mutual respect. I won’t tolerate any sexists comments from all sides.

Movie are not a good way to portray real life, sure. Some of them are fantasies, even with dragons and entire kingdoms of mystic creatures. Do you see any dragon here ? A troll, maybe ? Oh, my bad, Caroline and Bella will become vampires during their journey, haha !
Do you wanna stay in reality ? Sure. Did you read the description ? Oh, maybe you need a drawing, "sweetie" ? (For the latecomers he called me like that once, since then I can’t stop laughing every time I see this word.) Well I’m bad at drawing but I can give you statistics. 1 out of every 6 American women has been the victim of an attempted or completed rape in her lifetime. And I’m speaking about America, not my country, France, where the share of women among victims of sexual violence recorded by law enforcement in 2021 is around 94%. These are the facts. Do you want me to talk about forced weddings and pregnancies ? Or the fact that apparently, we can get yelled at, raped and killed like we were animals ? You’ll never experience something like that in your life, because you’re born and have assumed being part of the "strongest" gender. Well, we’re in 2024. Grow up a little bit instead of tchatting with a 18 year old editor on the Internet who knows her value.
Sincerely, I hope you will realize how much you’re disrespecting your gender, your mother, sister, daughter (I don’t know you but you have at least one woman in your life, right ?) and even your religion by putting God into all of this stuff. Take your time to answer. It is a pleasure to read every single comment and laugh at it with my closest friends.

A fantasy can be anything that doesn’t portray real life in an accurate manner, movies are exaggerated and I don’t base my life on a computer screen, I base it on real world. U need to do that as well.

I know real world, because I can't spend a month without being yelled at on streets or called "babe", "bitch" by men who have twice my age. Did you ever experienced this kind of disrespect at a young age ? Even some teenagers dare to come around me yelling "nice butt" and following me. This is real life. I'm expressing it by movies because I don't have the ability to record the moments when I'm threatened. Editing is an underatted kind of art to express through fiction's voices what we can't say out loud. Movies are way too far from "exagerated" ; what do you think, really ? That some situations of discomfort and lack of respect are invented by the producers ? It's poor, even from you.

I’ve liturally said that women should have opportunity to do something they’re interested un the workforce, but their main role is to be mothers, that what gods says. And yes, anyone who opposed god is radical, u don’t get to do anything if it’s not in line with what gods says. Gods decide male and female role not u. Please read better.
