“Laugh It Up” is one of the most toxic emotes I’ve seen in this game, and to think I own it.
It’s so damn annoying like I get it’s a game full of kids but holy hell, now see if less people used it or maybe the laugh wasn’t a donkey then it wouldn’t be so bad.
I just find the donkey laugh annoying tbh. If anything i’d rather there was just an option to mute it than to not have me see it.

Fortnite keeps sinking lower and lower since 2019.
I remember back around 2018 when they said all players would have freedom of speech in the game, and they wouldn't censor anyone. Now they're literally censoring their own emotes they sold us. Add that to the list of 100 other things they've done to ruin the game.
If you can't handle someone emoting, then play an offline game. Who gets to decide what emotes are offensive anyway? It's entirely subjective.
This game being catching an insane L
Having it as a toggle I don't see a problem with, but having it be the default setting that's complicated. You run into a lot of younger players that get very frustrated with the game and a lot of bullying goes on it's sad to see.(how a teenager is evil enough to think it's fun to bully a 5-10year old to the point of crying? seen it many times) I have a high win rate in 1v1 piece control/box fight maps that varies around 85%+ and I find if I ever do run into a suspiciously good player that CANNOT lose they recognize that I'm good and take it upon themselves to spam take the L nonstop it gets a little old. But then again it's rare that I run into these aimbot players. I had actually pondered toggling off emotes entirely many times because hearing the barrage of them gets old in general.
Having it on by default is just what makes me mad tbh

I think it's a good thing they should have made that setting a long time ago. Fortnite has become far too toxic, people on the net forget that there is a real person on the other end and it is not certain that that person is as good as the person they have been eliminated by, but that person has done their best, so it's not ok to mock the person but instead you should focus more on being positive and make a GG emote instead. Isn't Fortnite supposed to be a fun game for everyone. And that everyone wants to play again, or should it only be a place for sweats and toxic players who only care about mocking other players.

That laugh one is annoying, I was fishing the other day and started getting shot. Didn’t fight back or run, just kept trying to fish. They did that after they eliminated me. I don’t play to win or get better. I like completing quests and seeing whatever my randomized set up for the next match is
People would use that one and Take The L for no reason on me all the time if they successfully stream-sniped me. Like Idc if someone owns it but don’t be a dick with using it. I don’t see what’s so hard about learning respect for your opponent and good sportsmanship. This option to block is a godsend for many of us because it got annoying seeing how disrespectful people act with them.

I think the reason why they removed whipcrack and make it plantain is because... some people get a farmer outfit and a darker toned outfit and make them "work" and use the whip crack in a very bad way.. same goes for make it plantain but the darker tone uses the emote. Im not too sure, just a theory

Sure u got it by now but last season’s ranked glider only changes styles if u earned that specific rank your looking for. Which wasnt even from ranked mode it was from the limited ranked tournaments. So i finished the season at Elite but because i was diamond at the time i did the tourny, i now only have the diamond and lower rank styles. No elite
i rather them have just made a optional setting to turn off enemy spectating tbh, they force you to spectate someone who killed you until u decide to leave the game, there's no setting to turn it off. why do i want to spectate my enemies..? why would anyone want to spectate their enemies unless you're cheating, in which case that'd be messed up if u spectate someone to cheat and find them with another account.
edit: i do actually find alot of emotes annoying, moreso when they do it 24/7 some emotes i just cringe at, I'd even include the emotes that are considered toxic, i think they are just annoying no matter when u use them, I'd include more cringe emotes than that though, this doesn't really affect the game if we're being honest, because it's just an optional thing per player so technically I'd say it isn't actually censorship, censorship is when you force it on everyone... this is optional, however it is little pointless cuz most emotes are annoying anyway

And as I said I know it's Fortnite and winning graciously isn't exactly part and parcel with Fortnite and gaming culture in general. No one can stop a player from being toxic...but I'm not required to witness it and this makes it a little easier for folks to ignore that player.
For all the changes Fortnite is doing to the cosmetics, I think now more than ever we should be more careful and responsable with our purchases. Purchase something acknowledging that it might changes in the future.

There is literally no problem, if people want to see the emote then they can, if they don't then they dont simple.
Here's the problem explained its not that same people can choose to not see it if they domt want to, that'd be fine. It's that its on by default meaning everyone unless they know about the change and go out of there way to change it will no longer see it. A emote you bought will now not be seen by the vast majority of players when you bought it to use it and have ithers see it. There now completely worthless beacause you just have to assume Noone can see the emote now, if they made it to where you had to turn the setting on itd be fine and I'd support it. But this is just stupid

I actually like the idea. Being able to turn it off is nice but they should also turn off, or make it optional, to watch your enemies who eliminated you.

@@McNuggs44kinda they gave up on the original storyline that Donald Mustard made. The new Chief Creator is now doing his own storyline. So The Seven, Midas & IO storylines are pretty much over.
It’s only censoring emotes to the people who don’t want to see them, but the others, yes they are not doing super great.

I own two of these emotes and the fact that you can't see enemy's doing one at all is just weird. There is no setting so you can see enemy players doing one of these emotes!
I’m glad. I’m turning those off. I really don’t care to see that bs when I’m playing a game for fun or just to chill.
