The guys, especially Greg, getting wildes all excited about his patriots future with Drake May as his new qb. Hopefully it isn’t another Mac situation for wildes haha
I boggles my mind how Jordan Love gets nothing but praise after half a season of good play and then losing a playoff game, but Purdy gets trashed for winning that same game and then making a Superbowl. In no universe is Love ahead of Purdy.
it's because of the supporting cast (all of Love's offensive weapons would be the 2nd, 3rd or 4th options at their position if they were on the 49ers. it's because of personal bias. Purdy gets plenty of love (just not from Nick. Brou & Wiles support Purdy above and beyond their claim of "cogent analysis"). Notice how they went to bat for a year for Garoppolo until Purdy started lighting it up. In that same sense, Nick thinks of course Purdy is good in this system because Garoppolo was good in this system, just that Purdy is better, just not elite nor does Nick think Purdy is yet a top 10 QB despite his gaudy stats). They constantly cite Purdy left the field with the lead in the SB so they don't blame Purdy for the loss, when in fact, Purdy had 3 separate opportunities regulation to put up 7 points (instead of 3) and twice had receivers wide open. He was definitely a victim of blown blocking assignments but if he waits literally a half beat on any one of those plays and takes the hit, he throws a touchdown and KC can't come back to tie in regulation. Garoppolo had a similar performance in the SB 54 vs Chiefs. And in both games SF's defense broke down and Mahomes made them pay. SB 58 was one of KC's worst defensive performances (that cross the field option to CMC should've never been completed) and SF still only scored 22 points. I think that was the only game all year KC allowed more than 21 points and won. Anyway. Point is. Opinion on Purdy is devisive but he gets plenty of love (and I literally think it's all because of his draft position). You may be right that Jordan gets more than he currently deserves.
well its a team sport , i agree with them being on the same level...but lets credit the 49er team as a whole for gettin yawl to the SB ..same with my chefs, the defense and kicker really won us the game
@@anthonychilds8193well yea so basically the 49ers team was in superbowls with Garoppolo right before Purdy even showed up. Hence there already a superbowl team. I think Purdy did good, I don't really care for Jordan Love. I for once would like to see Herbert go for it, hope he gets some playoffs games and some superbowls under his belt.
@@anthonychilds8193Jordan Love is a veteran quarterback, whose been in the league for years. He has the same coach & system. Purdy was a rookie thrust into the starting lineup after the starter & backup got knocked out for the season. All Purdy has done, is play out of his mind. So saying Jordan Love is better than Purdy after a half season of good play is absurd.
I really wish i could have a private 5 minute conversation with Nick to discuss the Eagles. What i really struggle with is both takes supporting/ discounting the Eagles are a bit weak.
It is so funny when Brou talks about “I don’t deal in hypotheticals” or whatever he says. That is part of the point of these shows in my opinion. His and wildes’ more mainstream views are a good contrast to Nick as they represent other views (Brou’s old head mentality and wildes’ comedic representation of a comedic sort of fast and loose fan mentality) love the show ❤
Maybe im too early (40 min in) but i think its funny how they glossed ove the fact that nicks guy trevor lawrence was 16th on this list behind purdy, kirk cousins AND tua😂
@garrettjones4376 you realize we're not watching a 2 hour show on tv... this is CZcams... By they way, they used to not have any of these "in video promotions". This is just straight greed. They already make money off clicks, views, subscribers... not to mention the salary for the TV show. Listening to nick push products after every segment is not what this was all about, even just 4 months ago
Greg you've never seen a coach step on the field and play, so I guess bad coaches, who create the game plans, call the plays, make (or don't) adjustments don't have a huge influence on a game? I guess Chargers were over reactive firing Staley (for instance), or Urban Meyer should still be leading the Jaguars. Or, likewise good to great coaches are equally negligible to game outcomes per your point. Got it. As far as the Jets are concerned. I'm fine with the talent on the field. I think if things are going well w/ AR8 they'll be fine. What I also believe is the first time things start going wrong they are in major risk of a massive implosion. Their infrastructure will fold under in-season adversity and the fingers will be madly pointing. Leadership matters.
They were talking about the Eagles overpaying for saquon Barkley. I understand that they are devaluing the running back position, especially with running backs on their second contracts, because running backs age 27 to 30 do not age well and neither do their contracts. But the thing that's crazy to me is that while they paid above market for a running back like saquon Barkley, they're paying him Pennies on the dollar compared to what these quarterbacks are making if you overpay a running back now it really has no bearing on what happens with your franchise because you can get them for so cheap. Which as a Giants fan makes it even more Despicable what we did with saquon Barkley. We paid Daniel Jones, the 47th best quarterback in the league top 10 money at 40 million a year, and we let saquon Barkley go who was probably a top 10 running back, and we could have got him for cheap. And we send them to a division rival where he's going to see us twice a year? If I were GM, I would definitely be looking to have at least two feature running backs, so they could spell each other and not take too much punishment. Run by committee, and running game is very important in the second half now because so many teams have these hybrid pass rush cover linebackers that weigh 225 lb
U know 2 teams that play/ed starters in the preseason the current chiefs and the Brady patriots. But as brou said there’s no right answer to should u play starters in the preseason. I mean in the past like 10-15 years there was a team that won and sits in preseason the 2021 rams tho I think they are the only one.
When u pay for a product, u expect to get good quality. I pay for an ad-free service, these podcasts have been absolutely littered with them. When u pay for a straight flight but end up making 6 layovers do u continue with that airline? Nope! I'm off to another airline. Do better, be better.
Eagles finishing 3rd behind Washington and Dallas might be the most brain dead take I’ve heard. Baffles me this guy gets paid to talk about football. The commanders don’t have half the talent Philly has and Dallas’s entire offense depends on 1 player.
You guys just play into people's like Doucette's whole game: this relative sports nobody gets a full 5 minutes on national tv. Of course nothing on the flag football field has anything to do with IQ, but he's smart enough to say something outlandish and get himself on national TV.
Jennings knows nothing. He constantly displays that any success he had in the NFL was strictly on talent, not the handful of inches betwixt his ears. Consquently, he simply can’t fathom the importance of how much that means to quarterbacking.
Overall I really like this show, and can generally tolerate Nick's outburts, but his heavy-handed influence on the show's daily line-up is beginning to get on my nerves. It's been enough to listen to Nick gleefully look for every opportunity to trash Brock Purdy over the entire summer, but I was hoping he'd give it a rest with the looming start of the new season and the assortment of new storylines. But not Nick, once again he uses a segment on quarterback rankings to zero in on Brock Purdy, when the survey provided so many possible storylines. I really wish the producers of this show would curb Nick's undue influence on the line-up and allow an element of fairness and balance in its daily programming- cause Nick ain't it.
Thought my speaker was f’ed up

Boys are back in town 🎶
This is going to be a good week. We've already got the guys drawing their lines in the sand and making some very different calls.
Put Nick Wright with Trevor Noah, let's see what kind of entretainer he can be
Why so many commercials all of a sudden? It's almost unwatchable
2 hr show means more commercials. Most hour shows have 20 minutes with of commercials so double it for a 2 hr show
@garrettjones4376 you realize we're not watching a 2 hour show on tv... this is CZcams...

whats nick's problem with purdy
The cowboys do it like this to get talked about everyday of the offseason. And Nick hasn’t caught on yet lol.
hoang bi falloff is making this my new daily
Y’all gotta stop disrespecting these breakdancers 😂
